  1. Even it it was/is and China admits it/or doesn't what are we gonna do about it, go to war? Nope there will be talk of sanctions and reparations and nothing will happen. This virus will become part of the viral/medical landscape for the forseable future, hopefully younger folks will develop a natural immunity and older folks or those more at risk will get vaccine. I hope that the virus is stable and doesn't mutate too much, maybe more lie a standard Influenza virus that can be targeted with a combined Influenza/COVID 19 vaccine. From 2hat I have read the Corona Viruses are fairly stable as they haven't really "grown up" in humans. Time will tell, or maybe not. Oh I need to.make fun of Fishing Wrench I forgot, hmm I floor nothing at the moment but I am sure he will supply something soon enough for which to poke at him, and I do appreciate his being able to take the harassment and not be offended by it. Quite a thing for a guy who spends all his time hotboxing smoky 2 stroke outboard engine exhaust.
  2. Fishing=good, hunting=good, gardening=good, foraging=good. Harassing FishingWrench=entertaining at least.

    What's Cooking?

Poke greens can be very good, young leaves are better, if bigger split out the center part and boil, then dump water and boil again in salted water. Toss them.in a killer with bacon and a little vinegar for a few minutes. I know people who eat the stalks too but I will pass on those.
  4. Back on topic. COVID 19=Bad, Politics=bad, Health=Good.
  5. Not as many as there were 10 years ago here, but still plenty. Deer population has taken a hard hit here from folks taking advantage of the CWD season, and some others who just kill them for fun ithink. I think the increases in coons, skunks, and possums have been hard on the population of turkeys, plus a few bad springs, but the crappie population is excellent! Doesn't help me any right now, but it's good.
  6. I hope to be older someday also. But may have more in common with Oneshot, well except for his previous lives.
  7. I was a Daisy Duke admirer, although I had a thing for Wonder Woman, Mary Ann, Tabitha from Bewitched and a few others.
  8. Man you guys are old.
  9. Isn't That The Opposite Of Social Distancing?
  10. Wild turkey is delicious, way too many people cook it to death, buttermilk, lightly seasoned and just cooked done, no more. Crow ain't bad but about like pigeon or dove. Sandhill Crane however is delicious almost like beef. But a mess of crappie fillets and if lucky a few morels to me are still better. Best thing about turkey hunting was just getting out and finding a few morels. I can remember some darn cold mornings walking through frosted grass in tennis shoes when younger in search of them, now that there are a lot more of them I don't hunt them. Go figure, and I cant even blame it on my wife like I can deer hunting as she doesn't turkey hunt.
  11. Without Reading The Rest I Cannot Tell You How Disturbing That Comment is.
  12. Well sir you are making me feel better for sure. I am going to use you instead of Oneshot for my mentor.
  13. Well those I have.
  14. Hell I am in and it of the city more in the last few weeks and coming weeks than I have been in years. I take precautions but I am not the best at it, I don't go where I have to coming closely. If at Dr. Appt we will hit a drive through cause still gotta eat, if need stuff, I generally get it at local DG, so I can cherry pick times when low numbers there. Do what I can but no I don't go out looking lIke I am expecting a chemical attack.
  15. Everybody has their own favorite way of turkey hunting. Mine is to load up the boat and go crappie fishing instead.
  16. Stop it, I am gonna get some surgwry on my arm at some point, let me live in the hope it is better than ever. I am hoping for bionics like the 6 million dollar man.

Fruit Loops is where it's at. Not the real ones, the generic ones you get in like a 3 gallon bag. I love me some fruit loops.
  18. Oneshot, do you answer to the nickname of Lucky?

    What's Cooking?

I always seem to have to admit that I am weird. I like split pea souo, some ham in it and I will devour it. ALSO . . . I LOVE cheese whiz, I ate a lot of cheese whiz sammich's when I was a kid. Also great over broccoli and cauliflower.
  20. I am a terrible fan at most things from professional sports to music and acting. But I can stand and watch a guy with a chainsaw make a bear out of a log, or a master carpenter or welder work, or a good hand with a bulldozer work. I don't need or want any of those but dang I enjoy watching someone who is good at a trade doing it, give me a seat at a little league baseball game and I will stay all night eating bad hotdogs and drinking warm cokes. True skill or even just a real passion for what they are doing and I will watch.
  21. You likley would have caught something from Madonna that would scare away COVID 19 and make penicillin spoil.
  22. LOL, if cigars and whiskey shots were a cure I would be in MUCH better health. I want a cure that involves whiskey, butter and bacon.
  23. The problem is that a lot of the symptoms are pretry generic and arent easily diagnosed. What is it ILI influenza Like Illness or something, they take a swab and send it off, nope not influenza type a or b don't know what it is.
  24. Glad he is recovering. I hope the worst is past us but am not willing to count my chickens yet. There will be infections for many weeks yet, but hopefully at a much reduced rate.
  25. Shortly after my Bone Marrow Transplant in 2015 o had monthly dr visits, one of the questions they always asked was "have you fallen since the last visit". I wout have to clarify and ask, does rolling an ATV count as falling, or how about getring knocked off a hay wagon while hauling hay necause the driver popped a clutch. Had some nice bruises from that one, blood thinners make for impressive bruises for sure. The Dr. Would shake his head, nurses, including my wife didn't see ANY humor in my comments.
