  1. Thanks guys, gonna start after em again next week. With water temps falling bass should be starting to gang up on points and working in creeks following the baitfish. Looking at my logs from years gone by, blade, buzz bait crankbaits and jig all work depending on weather. Have had some awesome days this time of year on cool overcast windy days.
  2. Very interesting, have seen numerous mink but yet to incounter any otter.
  3. Cool, are you sure they weren't mink?
  4. Thinking of going this week, is CC ramp open?
  5. Really great video! Glad you talked on this one.Spoons will catch just about every species! Looking forward to the next one!
  6. Good day, water temperature?
  7. You can park on the east side of the dam and use plastic worms and jigs along the rip rap for bass.
  8. Very interesting, I am a bass and crappie fishermen but enjoy catching all species. I've caught about every speicies while chasing bass and crappie and can't say that any are irritating. I do understand though, my dad always cusses catching bass while crappie fishing. My buddies a I like to put a dollar on every different species caught.
  9. Just curious how many nice 3 plus pound bass you guys catch from all the ways you guys fish for them? I catch all mine by accident bass fishing, mostly c-rigging and on deep diving cranks and few on jigs and spinnerbaits. My biggest 12 pounder on a suspending rouge in late February 97. Also any you guys catch any lunkers?
  10. Thanks for the report and induring the heat! Like my dad always says "don't know tell you go"
  11. Put at Cedar Ridge at 8pm to 88.7 water temperature and slightly stained. Tried crankbaits and jig until dark only one short on 3/8oz jig. Headed down to Price branch area and had 9 with 5 keeps all on jig on channel banks in 20-25 fow. Slow but had one 3.09 and a 4.57. Loaded up at 12:30 Tight lines and CPR
  12. Great, way to go. Can't beat fishing with your family! He looks proud and happy, memories you two will never forget. Thanks for posting, and your report.
  13. Most of the fish I caught were chunky. First time out since first week of June! Was great to see heathy chunks. Fish hit all baits really hard and aggressive in 4-10 fow after dark. I will be after them next around fullmoon!
  14. Put in at mutton at 6:30 pm and stayed next to channel on mainlake cranking. Had 4 shorts and nice one all on 5xd. Changed over to night fishing and boy they were eating! Caught em on 10in black power worm, black/blue finesse and fb jig and single spin! They moved up around 10:15 and I caught over 30. Points, and swings from point 5 down to money island! Water temp 81.3-84.8 good clarity. Had a blast from 10:30-12:30, fished till 2:30. Seen one boat after dark. Ended up with 9 keeps, and big channel cat ate the single spin. Tightlines and CPR
  15. Did you go up the James or Flat creek?
  16. With the fb jig pattern in swing now, there is and has been many many times I'm fishing way off shore and pleasure boaters of all types and jet skis go right between me and the bank. They are clueless, but instead of getting mad I just wave back and smile. Best way to avoid is launch a daybreak and fish till around noon, still gonna happen but live and let live.
  17. Champ is right on, I use two colors mouse in clear and blue Herron in stained. In early spring in the Cape area while most guys are throwing cranks I at times will slow roll a 1/2 oz blue herron with a big 4" swimbait trailer on staging banks and chunk rock banks. You can get your arm broke this way on some big ones.
  18. In the fall I like burning a 1/2 war eagle screaming eagle in mouse with one copper and one silver blade.
  19. If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all! As I have stated before, this forum is here to share information and help each other out, not to bad mouth individuals or berate anyone. Feelings get hurt, members get mad and leave, it's not right! Try some Kindness and Respect for everyone!
  20. Awesome, the young ladies smile says it all! Glad she caught some goodens! Spitting up dads hun, fb jig time!
  21. That fish looks like a spawner, fat and bloody tail?
  22. Pretty spot!
  23. I'll stick with proven lunker lure buzz bait in either black on black or silver shad.
  24. Stayed in the James couple miles above Asher Cane flats.
  25. Interesting!
