  1. D, did you by chance weight that big girl?
  2. Very nice! Thanks for the report and pics! Those are some nice muskies!
  3. Neither, our fish tend to spawn deeper in our are lakes and would be money saved to use on baits gear or fuel. Just my opinion.
  4. Thanks, Champ, Donna and Fisherman for the reports! Kinda in that lull before water temps start rising and the days get longer before some real solid results. I'm with 750, anytime on the water is alway a great time on the water!
  5. Dan, biggest eyes on Table Rock over the years have come from way up Kings river or way up White River. On Stocton midlake to dam pre spawn on points with rogue or on riprap. I've been fishing both since June 1981
  6. For sure, back in the early 80's when I fished the Kings river a ton, every early spring lots of 10-15 lb eyes were caught. Most guys came down and stay Achen Back resort and targeted large walleye from their up the river. Resort is now called Hickory Hollow I believe.
  7. I'm sorry, I've never fished Beaver but took a liking to your posts and reports! I mainly fish Table Rock and Stockton, but enjoy reading all posts from all area lake! Yours especially caught my eye, thanks for the pics, insight and feedback from your "bucket list trip". Safe travels home!
  8. Awesome man! Way to hook em! Thanks for the report and pics!
  9. Lots of largemout, spots and even brownies will develop these black splotches or marks on their bodies during winter through spring, I'm no fish biologist, but sure they can shed light on the phenomenon.
  10. I have never caught a walleye on purpose, all have came bass fishing. Biggest of late was with Sac River Jim in the spring of 2015, 5 and half on c-rig lizard. First and only time I fished with him, he passed in that summer in a car accident. Super guy and we boated over 60 bass that day, including that eye. Super guy with tons of knowledge, still remember that day.
  11. Almost did, just watched her swim away with disbelief that I just lost a fish of a lifetime! Stayed there for a few minutes contemplating the whole ordeal and slowly went to Mutton Creek, loaded up and sulked all the way home! So vivid in my mind, seems like yesterday!
  12. Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing and becoming a skier on the fly! You're the man! Keep us informed and up to date with your trip, more pics please! Be safe and have a good trip home! You're living the dream man!
  13. Live and let live. All animals have their place on earth. Just be careful and smart!
  14. With social media these days nothing is a secret. I remember when hardly anyone knew of a phantom green wart, and me and all my buddies tried to keep it hush hush. Slowly but surely the word got out and within 2 years everyone knew! Whopper Plopper has been out for awhile and then they "hooked em" fall 2015 at big tournament on the Rock, got all over social media, now everyone uses or has knowledge of that bait. Before that tournament, never heard of it! My point is in today's world, with social media, nothing is a secret!
  15. Stockton, best ever on Table rock just over 7 on a rooster tail way up the Kings almost to 39 bridge crappie fishing. In either 00 or 01 had biggest eye on ever hooked in my life, right at dusk on point of Umberland cove, Stockton with a wart in mid March, played it for over 20 minutes, did everything right, loosened drag, trolling motored out to deeper water, stayed calm, then I seen the fish and it was longer than my leg and fat. I thought I had her played out and went to net the huge girl and fish could barely fit in net, almost had her and wart hooked the inside of my net she shook her head threw the hook and slowly swam away. I did everything right, but panicked at the most crucial moment and lost a eye of a lifetime!
  16. Over the years my two largest eyes one over 10 and one over 9 both came on clown rouge in February on channel banks bass fishing. Both full of eggs.
  17. Fantastic Dan, I hope you get one every month this year!
  18. Wow, Dan that's amazing!!! Please keep us informed and up to date. Any an all pictures you can share not only of fish would be really really appreciated!! Stay safe and warm, you're making life long memories!!!
  19. I fish Stocton and the Rock about 50/50 and Stocton is always 5-8 degrees colder in the winter months.
  20. Congrats and thanks for sharing! Looks like a bucket list trip!! Have a wonderful time and stay safe!
  21. Those look fantastic , I love that soft shade of purple your using. Over the years I have seen so many crawdads with purple and different shades of purple. I tie all my jigs with at least 4-7 strands of purple.
  22. I'm sorry, my mistake it's the same bait. I want one how much? IMO, that's the best looking spook I've ever seen!
  23. How much does top spook cost?
  24. I have a great condition 23 pitch tempest, bought new in 98 and only ran for two summers. Never been worked on. No hub kit included. Asking 300.00 or best offer. Or trade for 25 pitch tempest A45 model that has never been worked on. Can meet in Springfield or at Table Rock. Thanks for looking.
  25. Witch one is the trolling motor transducer mount?
