I thought spelling it was pretty danged impressive! It must be almost winter - lots of comments and responses are beginning to exhibit signs of Cooling Brain Matter Syndrome. Happens every year about this time and only gets worse from here till sometime in March. However, the symptoms can be somewhat alleviated by placing one of those Hot Hands hand warmer dealies on top of your head before covering with a good wool knit hat. Not a cure, just a partial treatment of the symptoms!

JB bite? JITTER BUG!?!? Wow!

Diversionary tactic. Simple smokescreen and nothing more. I'm telling you, this guys the best at everything he does. Or whatever the heck it is that he does. Not sure which!

Danged kids always wanting to hang around adult websites and forums. I didn't realize so many of you guys were under 40. It was bound to happen eventually anyway so just take your trophy case full of "Bass Fishing Participant" awards and deal with it!
-
Oh, that's right I forgot you're NOT 40 yet! Oh well, you were gonna find out next year anyway.
-
Your self deprecating humor is beginning to have a negative emotional effect on your idolizers! Kind of like the Santa's not real thing from when I turned 40!

^ Not sure if we're talking about the same reel (too many numbers and letters anymore) I've got four of the Tournament Pro's (the $199 version) - two from 2015 and two from 2016 and they're all I carry in the boat these days. Really like em'.
-
Just think if you'd have gone to KU med instead - they probably could have just restored your originals and made em' like new! Seriously, I hope they get you taken care of. Pain and non-functioning body parts are not the best part of the aging process as best I can tell.
-
I don't get what the big deal is - you don't cast or retrieve with your knees! C'mon! Get back out there! In this weather you wouldn't be able to feel em' anyway! Heal good man.

Yes it is. It is 36v - 112 lbs. thrust.

On Mr. Babler's recommendation, I purchased two of the Mike McClelland "micro" Falcon casting rods and absolutely love em' (Swim Jig I think?). Never really looked to see if the guide size is uniform the entire length of the rod or not but can't imagine anything casting a wider range of baits and weights much better. They are definitely way smaller than anything else I've ever used though.

Pretty sure it's 104 days. Or was that a rhetorical question? Better news is it's only 15 days until they start getting longer. Or, more accurately, until they stop getting shorter!

Think he meant the discount is $100 not the price - $279 - $179.

Kind of rare for me but I got nothin' for that! Absolutely nothin'.

I just purchased a couple of infrared mock pullovers a couple of weeks ago (the regular pullover - not the base layer) as well as two pair of infrared golf pants. I am beyond impressed with both. In fact, I haven't even worn the pants for golf yet but constantly wear them around the house and around town just because they're so danged comfortable. Super soft lining and great fit. Almost like wearing sweats in my opinion! Ditto for the pullovers. Really block the wind and are plenty warm layered outdoors but not too hot too wear indoors. Pretty good stuff if you ask me. Can't wait to try the "buff" without actually having to admit I own one!

With that endorsement, I shall check em' out! Thanks!

Hey Donna, that thing definitely looks like it would do the job but does it breath at all? The material that they use seems like it might get kind of hot - like wrapping a plastic bag around your head! If not, I might just look into getting one. Of course, one other drawback is it would DEFINITELY mess up my hair - all 18 of em'! Well, 18 as of last count anyway.
-
I guess that sounds like a "reasonable" compromise on your part!

Man, I sure hope somebody agrees with you cause that's what I thought when I put my 2004 Ranger 520 up for sale last March. It's is such perfect shape you'd think it was never used. Have yet to get a single person to even come look at it! And ten minutes away from my house, Cabela's is selling similar age rigs for $10000 - $15000 more than I'm asking that are beat to crap. They haven't even bothered to wash the scum lines off of em'. Anyways, I hope you're right about the trolling motor - I don't need two boats much less three trolling motors!

I know I'm a little slow but I just located the Buy, Sell and Trade forum and have now listed the TM at that location. If my above post needs to be removed by all means let er' rip! Thanks

MOTOR IS SOLD. Many thanks to Phil and the forum for making this sale simpler than expected and such a smooth transaction! I am looking to sell a 2016 Minn Kota Fortrex 112 with universal sonar and a 45" shaft. This motor was a factory install on my 2016 Ranger Z521 that I purchased new in March. I am switching to the new Minn Kota Ultrex and obviously will no longer need the Fortrex. The motor is in like new condition - not a mark on it that I'm aware of and works perfectly. The new one is being installed Monday so the Fortrex will be available immediately thereafter. I'm asking $900 as I believe the new ones are around $1600 plus tax, shipping, etc. 15 months remaining warranty. I live on the northwest edge of Kansas City and can probably work something out regarding delivery or meeting somewhere in the middle if anyone in the KC to Table Rock area is interested. Would prefer that to the hassle and expense of shipping.

Hey guys, I've never tried to buy or sell anything thru the forum before so please forgive me if this post is in the wrong place or inappropriate and, if so, please feel free to remove immediately. That being said, I would appreciate some advice on how to best go about listing a trolling motor that I have for sale. As the title indicates, it's a Minn Kota Fortrex 112 (with universal sonar and 45" shaft) that was a factory installation on my 2016 Ranger Z521 that I purchased new in March. I'm upgrading to the new Ultrex so obviously no longer need the Fortrex. It is in literally like new condition - not a mark on it that I'm aware of and works perfectly. My new one is being installed on Monday so the old will be available immediately thereafter. I live on the northwest edge of Kansas City and if someone in the Table Rock area or thereabouts was interested I could probably work out something regarding delivery or meeting you somewhere in between in order to eliminate shipping cost. I'm asking $900 as I believe new ones are going for around $1600 plus tax, shipping, etc. It also has 15 months transferrable warranty remaining. Again, my apologies if this somehow violates forum policy. Thanks!

His early life was spent on a farm near Dadeville, Mo, where, in 1959, he graduated from high school with the other 7 students in his class. J.C. left Dade County in 1960 and moved to Kansas City, where he worked as a Production Foreman with the Certainteed Company. In 1963 he married the love of his life, Cora Elizabeth Plumb of Greenfield, Mo, a union that would last for the next 53 years. A lifelong hunter and fisherman, he spent his free time pursuing his true passion, of being outdoors in nature. He was an “analog” man living in our digital world. The pace of the modern, technological world never suited Jay, he believed in a quieter way of living. When asked why he never carried a cell phone, he would respond, “If anybody needs to get ahold of me, they know where to find me.” and that was true. Dilday’s Mill, the Friend Bridge or Ruark Bluff would all be safe bets. J.C. was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was a young man, a fact that most people would have never known, because he rarely mentioned it. But that was Jay, he never allowed life’s challenges to limit him. “It will feel better, when it it quits hurting.” was his response when those close to him would speak of their aches and pains. Although it sounded cold and uncaring, it was really quite the opposite, it was a challenge, a dare if you will. He believed that life was what you made of it and a little dose of perspective was just the prescription for what ailed you. J.C. lived life without sweating the small stuff and reminded those he knew and loved that it’s almost all small stuff. His calm, steady demeanor served as inspiration, support and comfort to all who knew him. Fisherman, Hunter, Outdoorsman, Pilot, Waterskier, Mechanic, Friend, Uncle, Brother, Husband, Grandpa were all words that could be used to describe Jay. These were titles that he earned, because he was great at all of them. He knew that in life you get back what you put in. If we all followed his example the world would be a better place, but if you tried to tell him that, he would grin, perhaps even blush a little bit and say something like “I didn’t do anything” or “Thanks aren’t necessary”. He was a humble giant and silent man of great faith. There arent enough words or labels to fully capture the man that he was…but then again we just knew him as Dad. J.C. was preceded in death by his parents George and Marie, and brother Harold. He is survived by his loving wife Cora Elizabeth “Beth”, son James Mark, daughter Kim Elizabeth Scheerer and her husband Todd, grandsons James Nicholas and Jacob Alexander Wright, granddaughters Hayley Elizabeth and Hannah Makenzie Scheerer, and a multitude of extended family, friends and countless fishing buddies. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dade County Senior Citizens Center or to the Greenfield First Christian Church. Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.

That's good stuff.

AND trying to put his poor wife's lure TWO INCHES farther behind him! He's starting to remind me a little of Tiger Woods - you know, has to have a pair of shoes specifically designed to fit his "new" golf swing. This guy might just be the same deal - crank bait shoes, spinnerbait shoes, topwater shoes, well, you get the idea. Maybe even a specific hat for each or pants that set a little higher or lower on the hip depending on the cast required. No wonder he doesn't possess buffs and jerseys - he'd go broke owning enough to fit all of his fishing styles! Like all the truly great ones, he's a specialist and deliberately mysterious.
