I, too, have heard quite good things about the minn kota chargers. -
Onboard charger recomendations
slothman replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in General Angling Discussion
I don’t have a lot of experience with them, but I had to replace one recently. I got a sportsman series dual pro. I am quite happy with it. I got a two band, but would have gotten a 3 bank if I had a little more space for it. -
I don’t Go in there to party, but the fishing in party cove is downright decent.

Side scan question
slothman replied to tracman86's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
That is exactly what I did last spring. I took my down imaging unit off the console and put it up front when I got a side imaging unit to put on the console. The difference is, I have the garmin sv which has navigation, which I have found quite valuable. -
That sounds like some good wholesome family television right there. Exactly what the lake needs: a reason to become even more morally corrupt. This will probably attract exactly the right kind of people to the lake. 🤦♂️🤦♂️😞🙁😢😢😩😩😩

Yes, I believe you are correct tjm.

I thought that was one of the neatest things in there.

Livewell pump repair/replace question
slothman replied to slothman's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
My ultimate goal that I’m working towards is that everything will work as it is supposed to. I’m not too far off (I think). In the meantime, I do what I can to keep on fishing. -
I’m headed to sportsman’s outlet tomorrow. I’ll check them out.

Livewell pump repair/replace question
slothman replied to slothman's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I actually do use the recirc regularly in my boat. My “fill/empty” valve/switch is broken and has been since I bought the boat. I have always done what the guy before me did and just plug the livewell, fill it, and use the recirculated water to aerate the tank. Fixing the “fill/empty” valve is on my to-do list. I am SLOWLY getting all of the old worn out things in the boat fixed and replaced with newer, better working stuff. -
I used to go watch monster trucks, bull riding, and theatrical shows on ice there when I was a kid living just outside of Memphis.

Livewell pump repair/replace question
slothman replied to slothman's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I got the old pump out. It was a 600gph basspirator. I think I’m gonna put in a 750gph Johnson if I can get one. I think this is an easier job than I previously though it would be. Seems pretty simple really. The new cartridge systems do seem much better when it comes to replacing parts though. Hopefully I won’t need to change it out for a good many years, but it should be much easier when that day comes. -
Livewell pump repair/replace question
slothman replied to slothman's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I’m gonna put a new pump in. Any suggestions about which one you like? It is for the hydro pump (for recirculating water to add air bubbles in the livewell) in my Champion. I know west marine has the rule pumps. The Johnson pumps look good too. -
I have a livewell pump for recirculating the water in my livewell. It is being very noisy/squeaky when it is turned on. I’ve been told that it probably has something sucked into the pump, or possibly the pump is going bad. I have been advised to replace the cartridge for the pump. Well, I get into the bilge area and started looking at it and I’m not sure I have a pump that has a replaceable cartridge. My question is, if I were to replace the entire pump, should I replace the hoses too? Or, can I just use the ones already in there? Also, any recommendations for which pump to use if I replace the whole thing? It currently has a 500gph basspirator.

It was tough for me last Sunday. Of course, there was also quite a thunderstorm to contend with as well.

I went out and fished some Friday night in a small tournament out of Linn Creek. I took my dad out and he fished his first ever bass tournament. The fish weren’t just jumping in the boat for us, but I sure enjoyed having my dad coming up to fish with me. We did manage to catch a pretty huge sack of fish, they just weren’t bass. Lol. My dad caught a five pound drum. We had a couple of bass, then... this: a spoonbill! Caught on a deep diving crankbait right next to the boat. What a fight! I thought surely it had to be a big flathead or something. It just kept stripping line. I finally got it to the boat.

I don’t know why everyone (including our club) chooses pb2. More parking there I guess? I would prefer more from Coffman personally.

Hermitage did just add a bunch of new parking. I was there Sunday.

Join us for a great time fishing. This is a great time to go out and catch a bunch of fish. They are hungry. It should be a good time. The flyer was update do to show the correct start time the correct start time is 8:00pm, not 7:30pm. Sorry for the confusion. Please share this out with your friends and invite them to join us as well.

I keep looking, but haven’t been able to find any more information about this accident. Does anyone know what kind of boat/boats were involved in this accident?
