    actually you might but i would not use full throtle unless youre talking about fellows then your fine but springfield has a motor limit of 6 but fellows has a larger size limit

    well me and a buddy went out to fellows lake this weekend and was suprised that the north side of the lake was just frozen over to where you seen kids that had thrown decent sized rocks on the ice not breaking or cracking the ice so i cant wait for the temps to raise and the lake to melt

    yea id be down and it would be a nice way to methodically fish the entirity of the whole lake from around the hwy 65 bridge to almost to the dam and might be able to get the guy off youtube (winkidoodles) to get out there and would it be a bass catfish or crappie be the targeted species

    yea this was a real fun event and was great to actually meet some people with the same obsession i mean hobby that allows us to get together like this and just talk and bs about the fishing

    thats a good idea to float tube fish springfield lake but me personally i go up to the sunshine bridge or the 125 bridge and go up river and have caught a couple of decent bass up there and a crappie or two

    lol that is so true jack who has money for a hotel now days but at least you got a show with a little drama at the end but nice im heading out there this weekend to do some night fishing as well and what size lead you using grunt

    hey there just looking for a little bit of info on the waters around van buren like what is the catch like since i will be there monday and want to know what type of flies are being used right now so any info will be a great help

    you know by reading all of your msgs that i am goin to the 125 brigde later and im goin to be using my 8wt and my float tube for the nice pools yall are talking about up from the 125 bridge so river rats unite

    well ive been busy but i did very well and i only made from the 125 bridge to the bridge that crosses on sunshine but i caught 5 smallies including one that weighed 2 3/4 lbs and boy did it put up a fight with me in a float tube and a bucket of bluegills but all in all it was a great day on the river and a great day of fishing and thanks for all the suggestions on the flies i caught the majority of the smallies on a popper that looks like a bee but i did catch one on a clouser crawfish

    actually i got a fly fishing outfit at mc sports for 30 bucks came with a couple of flies rod reel line and tippet and have so far caught four small mouths and a bucket load of sunfish so dont knock the cheapies they can be a great start for when u have the money to upgrade to something a lot better
