    What's Cooking?

Have not looked at this in awhile, wife has been home for 6 months and has been doing all the cooking. I agree with RPS’s wine recommendations. Find a wine you like, remember the variety, and where it’s grown. Try others of same variety, from the same area. Learned that from my Somelier ex GF. Married a friend of hers after we broke up. Wife and I still see her socially.
  6. Clearing out a few, most unused. Will post up some lots after I sort then. Here is a preview. If you see a must have PM and it can be yours.
  7. Congrats! That's a heck of a bass for anywhere in Missouri! Never have fished the Osage.
  8. A canoe can certainly out live you. Another buddy has some 100 year old wood & canvas canoes that he takes to the boundary waters every year.
  9. Go home Yankee! LOL! Post up what you got to offer. Think you got stripers & bluefish up your way. Can you fish em off the beach with a fly rod?
  10. Skid plates were factory installed 20 years ago. Part of a 25% of retail deal with Wenonah, Alpine Shop, & Missouri Smallmouth Alliance. These have not been used much.
  11. Sounds like a perfect fit, you will be the second couple to own that set of his & hers boats. Enjoy.
  12. Both boats are sold. My buddy is a happy man. Hope the new owner & his family enjoy them. If you don’t like em post em up again here. Several others here have interest, but your foot was in the door first. Thought you only wanted one, LOL! Take two, they are SMALL!
  13. Think it was 800+ retail w/o the grass & shipping. You can check out Retail prices on Tanglefree.com. It’s headed to a barn here, for ducks, geese, dove, deer, and Turkey.
  14. Buddy of mine is selling 2 in Royalex, with sitbackers, and paddles $675 each, pickup in Rock Hill, MO. Pm and will send you his number.
  15. Good for your daughter. She has a great career path ahead of her.

    Tiger trout

Look neat, but still a stocker frankenfish. Stock em in a landfill if you must stock them anywhere. I can’t believe that Arky stocked them.
  17. Like the American Fisheries Society’s Facebook Page, They do a “What is this Bass Wednesday” post every once in awhile. Lots of hybrids to ID. I like to catch em all, and I want to know what they are.
  18. F9 & F11‘s for sure
  19. monkey dodo ton of rattlers in Bear Trap canyon on the Madison. Have hiked through, but would love to float it. Won’t be me on the sticks.
  20. Fisher folks are pretty ignorant when it relates to species. The term I hate most is "Meanmouth". Utter that term, and you are in my idiot camp. There are at least a dozen bass species in the USA, and there are hybrids of many.
  21. If you like the shorty LC's Brian, I have a few...Will dig em out and PM you a photo. Probably 78's in standard or DD. Prefer 3.5", 4", and 5" jerkbaits. Might have a sale on some extras in the near future.Discovered a plano full of Rapala floaters....and cant remember where they came from.
  22. Dry the rattles out, and toss em in the sound hole of your acoustic guitar. Live reptiles smell like hell. Rotten reptile flesh, smells even worse than rotten fish.
  23. Sweet...biggest one I ever saw was under the 34 Bridge near Sam Baker State Park. I here that the snake road in S. IL has a bunch of them. They close it for migration twice a year.
  24. Have some 78’s & 100’s. I appreciate the offer Glen but keep yours. Want old color slender pointers, before BPS screwed up Lucky Craft.
  25. Hey guys, you are all fine to believe what you believe. If you are kind to others, bust your posterior to provide for your family, and hold yourself to high standards, welcome around my fire. If you bring good booze, and funny stories that is a plus too!
