  1. Why would it not work? You will figure it out.
  2. Boats come and go...I've bought and sold a few in the past dozen years...I'm pretty happy with my 17' tandem, and 14'8" solo...that's all I have at the moment. Not planning on buying another any time soon. Will probably buy a few sit in kayaks or two for the kids in the next year or two, but there was a red royalex Vagabond for sale at the Alpine Shop the other day..Think they were asking $1200...tempting.
  3. An extra pad lock, or a pad lock and cable. Will take care of that behavior. Toss the key.
  4. Glad you both got out and thank you for the report. We spent the weekend at Meramec State Park with the kids and some of my wife's life long friends from Washington. Took the girls out from the campground boat ramp down to Sand Ford on Saturday. The rain got the best of the little ones, so we paddled straight through. Not many people out. Saw one guy in a aluminum riverpro with an orange stripe, water patrol, 4-5 canoes, and one of the tour boats from Meramec Caverns. Took the girls out again. Sappington Bridge to the CG boat ramp. Didn't fish much...The water was pretty muddy, Maybe 18"-2' of visability. Saw my first air boat in Missouri.Louder than a jet and two or three times the wake. Plenty of people out, mostly rafts & rec floaters, a couple jets, but not a Zoo like down by Onandaga. Had one swipe at a Sexy Dawg Jr...followed up and caught it on a Ned...all of 8" long. Through the Minus, and a Swim Jig a bit but no takers...Maybe 100 casts for the weekend, but still a lot of fun.
  5. Nice looking water. You do have to be prepared for a log jam on out of the way places. Remember one years ago. 20' high and 50 yards long. The fellow with the Atv was a big help. Cost.. Two ice cold beers.

    Help

Don't let him ruin your day. Tell him to report you and fish on.
  7. Think you will need to do it yourself.
  8. Call Justin @ Sunburst ranch. Go during the week if you can.
  9. Riverpro makes a great boat.
  10. Never thought I'd miss Jo Ann Emerson...but I do now.
  11. Great job Mitch! Pair that with some sushi rice and a dab of wasabi and I would eat it. Pair your super awesome jig heads with it.....Cost to make, test, etc..might be able to get you some Federal tax credits for the R&E if you are going to market.
  12. Nice reports both of you!...The view is pretty cool if you climb up through the top of Jam Up...when I was younger. Thanks.
  13. Nice fish...wonder if it made it back safe to the aquarium at the box store?....
  14. Have not been on the Meramec yet this year...May fish a bit around the State Park this weekend, but mostly a family & friends kinda thing.
  15. Gotta fill your freezer before the season opens, dontcha know
  16. Pflueger or Abu. Never a problem. Can't say the same about the other spinning reel brands.
  17. 8k is the norm. 27.5" is believable, but anything over 20 has been a rare catch lately. If they dropped 32k. Fishing will be grand in. 3/4 years.
  18. I want that crowbar print, especially with a number 3 on it! lol!
  19. There are always a couple weapons loaded and ready in the house. In the safe, oneTrigger locked always with no round in the chamber due to the kids. Never have needed one. Our dogs make enough noise to alert us and discourage the uninvited. The dogs are useless but better company.
  20. Swap the hooks and fish it at night.
  21. Fish the edges were faster water is moving past slow. Fish the eddy pocket too. Rock, wood, a break in the willow weed or any change in bank composition can hold a fish or several. Spend your first hour figuring out were they want to be, then fish similar spots.
  22. No issues with Justin's business. Amy & Justin run a good campground...and its one of my favorite spots to camp....best owners in the 30 or so years that I've camped there, and there have been several. Good people. I really don't care what happens to this Crocker fellow...He killed Dart in a fight he did not have to pick. The jury will do its job.
  23. You never know what you will find. Fish were stocked all over the place after the advent of the refrigerated rail car in the 1880's. Pacific Salmon & trout were stocked in the Ozarks and many other species were stocked in other places. It was the thing to do back then.

    Pit Bulls

Saw my neighbors boy playing with a pit in his backyard today. No fence...He hasn't made many good choices lately...so I hope it is just visiting. They take miserable care of their other dog.
  25. One dimwit dead, and another going to jail. Not much else to the story.
