Justin has a point...I'll keep a fish or several if I need something to eat......No guarantee of a legal fish though...Might have to break out the cast net and fry minnows on a river with restrictive limits.
  4. Call up a few Simms dealers and see how often they come back or wet wade. I hardly ever put waders on when its over 75 degrees outside.
  5. My all arounder is a 6' Medium Light with a Pflueger Supreme..The Pflueger President is a good reel too...Just wrapped a Batson ISB722 blank and I really like it.
  6. Sounds like you had a good trip...good for you!
  7. Fly smallies popper is outstanding...but I'd like to put some names to the other flies. Claim your work gents.
  8. Good for you! Nice to see some water in the Huzzah.
  9. It really depends on your objectives, and the stream gradient...5-7 miles is a great length for a day float. You have plenty of time to get out, wade, and putz around. You wont have time to get out and wade much on a 10-12 mile float especially on a slow moving stream.
  10. USMC myself, but no gripe with the USAF. I was an air wing Marine not a ground pounder. Thank you for your service as well.
  11. Spent a little time on the USS Ranger CV-61 so I'm partial to battleship gray.
  12. Looks like a great restoration! Should look great when you are done.
  13. Good for you! You'll be tying with Jerry's feathers for years to come.
  14. Skip trace complete, he's alive, flies in the mail. Out of town for a wedding.
  15. It was rolling pretty good but it looked floatable at Short Bend but really ugly at the 19 bridge South of Steelville on our drive home from Montauk yesterday.

    High Water

Waters fine. Up a couple inches. Caught a nice one last night 24 or so. Nothing but rainbows and a tiddler brown for my brother inlaw and me this am. Kiddo fishing for the rest of the weekend.
  17. Maybe a longer float on the Jack's Fork? Plenty of water to float from Prongs on down.
  18. Sure it wasnt a Chain Pickeral? 30" would be a big one.
  19. Thanks for the Y. Stone eye candy and your report!
  20. Letter sent again. It's absolutely stupid to put that mine there.
  21. Not worried...but I think he owes us all a beer..
  22. Get a Buff for your head, and some sunchecker gloves in addition to a long sleave shirt, wide brim hat, and lightweight pants.
