Al Agnew met me at the craw shack this morning at 8:30 and we put in at the closest ramp possible. We ran down river to below the next ramp down several miles. Long story short the fish were in a classic prespawn pattern and also in their classic winter holes So I think you can guess it was a weird bite Nonetheless we didn't catch a lot of fish but the fish Al did catch were almost all nice and several were better than nice I caught one little largemouth ?

Nice report. Love hearing about catch and release on the meramec walleye. I ate only 2 last year off this river. I'm really liking your catch and release spot technique much more ?

Awesome fish ! I would say I'm surprised but I think this guy knows how to fish the craw and he's gonna produce some giants

Pert as a ruttin buck. Harmless as a heel hound, so many good lines in this movie. Best movie ever. Ever. Let's not forget, mushrat ain't no good this year !

They were 47 Sunday. I'll take a pic from the water tomorrow. I'm sure it's gonna get to 47 by the time I get out tomorrow.

Water is 42 degrees. It's so clear that you can sight fish. But the fish are very spooky and freak out

I'm gonna get some real soon. Back in the summer I took video of a live craw chasing after our craw and engaging it in a fight to the death It was very cool. But that phone is in the river with the cool video.
