  1. Thanks Scott. Humbled by the river but it was a beautiful ride. I can't say enough about the river pro. It is everything a serious river fisherman could want.
  2. Some people are so smart that they are dumb as a fence post.
  3. I just never got amped up on bass fishing like a lot of guys are. It's getting a little more exciting for me in my middle aged years I reckon. I will go about anytime someone wants to go I fished with a guy the other day who threw a Ned rig and didn't even know it was such a thing. That's what I was trying to say. I didn't even know what it was until Smallie bigs told me. I just fish like a mad man and try a lot of goofy things That's all.
  4. I know right ! Ned rig shmed rig. I like it. Don't get me wrong. I tie it on for my little girl a lot Here's a tip: cut a craw dad color culprit in half Put it on your choice of jig head. Throw it out. Bounce it. Drag it. Whatever. Is that a Ned ? Maybe I don't really know what a Ned is. Honestly, a few years ago I was fishing with smalliebigs and he explained to me what a Ned was. I was incredulous at the hype it receives. Every poor kid on the river figured that out years ago.
  5. I've been in the situation many times where it wasn't a matter of cost of a lure but rather the fact that someone had every lure you could imagine to pick from And one of those lures was all that worked. And I didn't have one. That's when I started dumping more and more money into tackle to have more options. I fished Ned rig 30 years ago when I was 13 years old. It's a okay option when the river is right for it.
  6. And the skullduggery continues. Facetiousness ? Yes I would say.
  7. Ditto. Couldn't agree more.
  8. Well I finally found a sports topic that I can join in on. I've never watched a full Rams game. Even Super Bowl. Just not a fan of any sports. I'm very thankful that millions of people are all wrapped up in sports. More woods and water for us
  9. I think it's good enough that you say it's on a river. Any river in the ozarks could give a guy similar results Good post.
  10. I only fished for a hour and a half but only bite I had was jerk baits. 2 keepers.
  11. Osage was bank full Saturday and chocolate milk. I went to loz instead and ran way up a creek arm. Did quite well.
  12. I like 11 to 2. Anybody else ? Room for one more. Quick fix shot in the arm for hump day If nothing else we will run some river.
  13. Sorry beemer got busy. We should've went. Tomorrow no go Maybe Wednesday. My boat my spot.
  14. Lance? It's a special language of love to the beloved smallmouth bass. I'm not well versed in it yet but I'm learning Welcome to the forum lance. We fish this week ? River round ? I can't figure out how to post pictures but I caught some in the high water last week near red horse.
  15. Be at my house at 1 tomorrow.
  16. Still up 2' from normal. Getting very clear though. Almost giggable.
  17. Right on. My boat. Your brain
  18. I fished loz for the 3rd time in my life yesterday. Bagnell was blown out so I put my jet boat in and ran up a creek arm until it was a creek again. Sr9 shad rap was the only bite we could get period. It was a awesome bite though with 7 keepers and a slob Smallie to boot. Visibility was 5' at least. Only found a couple holes to fish though. Had to cross less than a foot deep water for a mile to get to the fish. Main lake was 43 degree but 47 back in the creek. I'm not familiar with the lake so I don't really know where I was but it was a good 3 hours of fishing in my book.
  19. Inquiring minds want to know. What or who is the stl 5
  20. There is always walleye and hybrids on the Osage. Just flow and temps and lure selection issues. I'm going this week
  21. Well, now I k ow why you wouldn't answer your phone. I got sucked into a culvert pipe once and came out on the other side I had waders on too. And it was in January. I had buddies with me to help or I'd of died for certain.
  22. I have spent a lot of time in the last few days on my deck or staring out the window. I have watched the river try to get back in a old channel from days of old when injuns camped where my house sits Upstream where the neighbors spent tens of thousands of dollars on stream bank erosion control , nothing has changed Maybe got deeper. Don't know yet but across the river from me it's complete carnage the way it's taking out sycamores. I have a pile of boulders as tall as a house and I will be following suit with the neighbors. I'd rather keep the bank and have it be deeper than wider.
