Got to go the bridge today with my neighbor and father in law. Beautiful day!! Caught 1 nice bass around 6lbs on a home made jig.

Thanks guys. Aunts was also busy for a week day. The fish still seem to be scattered. Never had more than 2 bites at any location. It was a nice day for running and gunning.

On the water at 9:00. Light winds, plenty of sunshine. WT stayed around 60 all day. Caught the trifecta, mostly shorts. Did catch one beautiful spot right at 3lbs. 3XD and finesse jigs did all the work.

Spent the past 3 months in Joliet, so I know how you feel. 1 nice thing is all the neighborhood ponds in the area. Was able to fish a lot after work.

Finally back from Illinois. Got out for a couple hours this morning. Caught 6 with only 1 keeper. 5XD and jig did all the work. WT was 57 to 59 deg.

Fishing ponds around Joliet Illinois after work. Fishing from the bank. Using a frog, and plastic worm. Can't wait to get back to SW Missouri!!!

Talked the wife into going out for a few hours before dark. WT was 91. Caught a mix bag LM, SM, and a bunch of bluegills. Everything caught on a 3XD/6XD. Had a wonderful time with the wife. Back to work next week so everyone stay safe.

Decided to brave the crowds on Sunday. On the water at 6:15. Very foggy and no wind. Fog burned off around 8:30 and then the fun began. With all the pleasure boats out it reminded me of old WW2 footage of the storming of Normandy. Needless to say the trolling motor got a workout. Ended up with around 25. A good mix of LM, SM, and spots. 6XD in sexy shad and pro blue did most the work. Also caught a few on drop shot and jig. WT was 81-83. Happy 4th of July, and stay safe!!!

One heck of a good fishery. Get to fish a lot of lakes around the country while traveling for work, Besides the delta in NorCal theirs know other place I would rather be. -
I throw a deep shadow rap every outing that has wind and fish suspended over points. Some days productive, some days not.

Sexy shad. Throwing it over a long flat tapering point. It will regularly dive to 15ft with a long cast and steady retrieval. Using a BB1 with 12 flouro, and. 7'-8" Lews cranking rod.

Put in at 7:30 to light winds and cool temps. Wt was 79-81. Off the water at 1:30. Caught all my fish on bluff ends and long flat points. 6XD and jig did all the work. 16 total with 6 keepers. Fishing is good!!
