  1. Right on. It's hard to know what other people know or mean especially on the web. Thanks for clarifying. No doubt if your system works roll with it. I've definitely not settled on anything yet. That's part of the fun of fishing to me is trying new latest greatest products or techniques.
  2. Lol wow! I guess if they're dumb enough to do it it shouldn't be a surprise where and when they choose to do it.
  3. I know a guy that had his catalytic converter sawed out from under his truck at ruark one evening while people were camping across the cove. Pretty desperate thrives around.
  4. You may know but the last comment left me confused slightly. Anyway both lines I mentioned are flourocarbon. The best you can buy but add Toray Superhard to the mix though I e yet to try it. I'm still experimenting with Sunline structure but so far I like it pretty well. I'm also still experimenting with braid/flouro leader on my spinning gear. One more thing since power poles keep getting brought up. I've been crappie fishing a lot the last few weeks and hope to continue this weekend, only at table rock instead of Stockton. There are fillets in my freezer literally because I have a talon on my boat. If I can help it I won't go without one again and hope to add a second one by next spring. Or sell this one and add two twelve footers. It's came in handy every time I've been on every lake I've fished this year including table rock. Now if they'd just make an electronic steer trolling motor that acted just like a cable steer one that would be sweet.
  5. Sold
  6. Praying for you and for justice to be served swiftly.
  7. Buy tatsu or Sunline shooter and you won't go through as much line. I'm not sure how they act on spinning reels though. Fishing around boat docks on grand though that line is extremely abrasion resistant and I use lots less because of it.
  8. I'd like to try glass costas but I'm afraid I'd break them.
  9. 400p's
  10. In basically perfect condition and have hardly been worn. More or less new. My eyes just at do not like the lenses so I'm going to try a different pair. $100tyd
  11. What an awesome testimony!
  12. I'd go by the 48hr rule to be sure it's hard. Dry to the touch and cured are two different things. You are off to a great start.
  13. Wow very good!
  14. Yea that's why I asked. Some situations it's just being a jerk but others it's the only option. Beaching or not though that's up to the individual. Some just don't like it. I do it but that's me.
  15. It only took 13 fish for 13lbs to win the Shriebers crappie tournament this weekend.
  16. Especially if you're in the channel. That's were the most and biggest trees are.
  17. Yes I wish the grew like that in every lake we had around here. Table Rock is a special lake because of those fat kentuckys.
  18. So if he would have tied it would have been different? Or was it a single small courtesy dock? More details are necessary. Most boats at most tournaments that I've ever attended tie up and weigh them, then load after the weigh in. Especially at Grand. Most times you have no choice at all. This depends on the situation though. You wouldn't do this at say mutton creek at Stockton or eagle rock at Table Rock.
  19. 39 bridge if you want to be up the river more.
  20. I believe Mixer nailed it. The reason I believe it is that way is falcon (as far as casting rods are concerned) are slower than what most of us call a true fast. I think the amistad is decent but I'd have to look again. This is what ran me off from them years ago. Pitching and roll casting really requires a fast rod. The faster the better imo. This is where loomis kinda sets the standard and has for years. I need to give them another look though. It's been a year or so. I do know if like to fish the grand challenge but am about $2000 short in rods to be able to do it.
  21. I may buy the $29 thing to try. If I do I'll report back.
  22. Do any of you subscribe to that? Is it a constant infomercial on how important it is to the anglers like UMF was? That totally turned me off and was completely annoying. I don't have cable/satellite so I thought about getting this for the boys and I to watch. We watch a couple of the 30 minute samples on YouTube and my 11yo thought the format was fascinating.
  23. Oh yea I totally agree. He brought up diameter a few times so I thought I'd mention it. I use flourocarbon almost exclusively which I'm sure is a mistake. If it doesn't need to float its a pretty safe bet it's flourocarbon for me lol. I just like the hardness and lower stretch of a quality flouro. I'm still experimenting with braid with a flouro leader on my shaky head and drop shot combo. I started this last year. I'm playing with the Sunline structure on my pitching outfits. It supposedly has less stretch than shooter and for whatever reason is cheaper slightly though still not cheap. So far it's very tough stuff and I like it. This is after three days of Grand Lake fishing. 20lb is .014" diameter. All the talk about Maxima has me wanting to try it. I like cheap especially if it's tough. I just put some mono on my crappie outfits for the same reasons you use mono. Easy casting and user friendly. I don't want to jack with line disasters when I'm going for dinner. Especially throwing those little jigs in the wind. I can see how dealing with all the different experience levels would have a guy lean toward the side of caution. Have you experimented with using mono and flouro back to back to compare bites? I'll admit that's part of a confidence thing with me but it has more to do with abrasion resistance, lower stretch, and sensitivity. Especially since I like as little line out as I can help but over as much junk as it can be.
  24. Trophy unless you don't like flourocarbon you might check out Sunline if diameters are important to you.
  25. I did not know this but that is good information. Especially for the cost of the si transducers.
