I started the Mike one and couldn't do it. The Steve Kennedy one was awesome though! If you can get past some of the silly camera work it's really really enjoyable. I especially liked hearing him talk about Clear Lake. I wish I could watch that tournament again.
I'm trying out the Sunline structure line. It has even less stretch than shooter. I'm just one trip in on it. So far I can say the abrasion resistance is great but I'm undecided if I like it better than shooter. We shall see. I'm using it in pitching and skipping applications. It may end up more suitable for casting and dragging (wobble head, football jig) which is obviously what it was designed for really. It has a low diameter.
I'm not a Truman guru at all. When I have been there I've enjoyed fishing the long shoal area the best. Plenty to fish in that stretch. You aren't to far from the river or deeper water either.
This is no kidding either but I'm not taking my chances. It's pr a gamble either way. At least I'm avoiding some sunburn and get to smell like a coconut.
Who else wears these? I love mine expect when I'm trying to put it on with a coat. Then it's like trying to put on an angry drunk monkey. I thought about getting my kids some but they're rated for 16yo and up only.
Anyway I've been happily wearing this thing since I got it for my birthday a few years ago. Then the John Cox incident happens where his nor his observers jacket exploded and they're both lucky to be alive after the ranger they were in decided to changed directions for no apparent reason.
I hadn't thought about dipping them. I need to buy my boys a couple. I can't start to early trying to protect them. Especially my oldest son. He was literally allergic to the sun when he was a toddler but now just fights some eczema. The dude loves fishing to much to keep him indoors.
Here's the exact one I have. It kicks butt in the cold. I have no idea about heat. It's probably a terrible color for that. I'm not sure I could wear one in warm weather anyway. I have thought about buying a full brimmed hat though for better shade and sun protection. They're goofy looking but I think it could help.

So now we know some are somewhat alarmingly concerned about what fishing lures others catch fish on and what they wear while fishing. Not only that but following them home to see what they wear then too? Wow. I don't know about all of you but when I go fishing, I fish. I'm worried about my own comfort and catch rate. Some of you act like junior high girls in a popularity contest.
Btw I like bass blaster. I saw his point.
He's an attention whore and a fake. He's good with kids though.
I get so tired of hearing how he's good with kids. He's a phony and acts like a fool. How is that good for kids? Terrible example. Cussing, cussing at dogs, hitting things, spitting, then saying "thank you Lord."
Since I like being warm I wear one when its cold. I got a hoorag brand one for Christmas last year that is simple as can be yet effective. It really makes a world of difference. If you'd rather be cold because you're worried about what people think then go right on ahead.
I don't understand why if someone does something on tv and some old person doesn't like it and you do it you are automatically trying to be like the person on tv rather than just use the product for what it's designed for?
