  1. Side of plate port/passenger side mount $120 shipped. Pic below is not my mount but just shown so you can see exactly what style it is. Tilt bracket $110 shipped Handles $50 shipped
  2. Talon sold. Still have bracket, tilt bracket, and quick release handles though.
  3. I wish I could say I'd be there but I just don't know yet.
  4. Well I guess but that has nothing to do with gun confiscation. We don't know what the victim saw either. If you choose not to carry because someone in another states friends didn't see a knife in the dark then that's most definitely your choice. I have no doubt the after effects of being in a self defense shooting is miserable. That's just something you have to accept before you carry yourself. I know this and it's worth it. It may not be my life I'm saving which to me is more important.
  5. That would be a terrible thing to have all of your guns confiscated because you used one in self defense. Thats like saying guilty until proven innocent. Odds are if you can't have any you are probably in a place that has a toilet and a bed all in the same room.
  6. Definitely. Glocks are the perfect companion for this reason lol. If it was a situation where it was going to take some investigation to be completely certain you were justified it could quite possibly be very difficult to buy another gun. I'm really not sure though. Hopefully I never come remotely close to finding out.
  7. Used 8' Talon with mounting bracket, tilt bracket and quick release handles. Works great! You all know how much I love my talon. Very handy even at table rock $900
  8. Saturday it's was a little slimy. Of course it got on my boat carpet too lol. I noticed it blowing up when loading and unloading on the ramp itself. It may be common after a flood like that but this was the first time I've seen it.
  9. Wrench I've personally never heard of that. I don't doubt you lose your gun but the not buying another one definitely doesn't sound right. Fact is the legal fees will likely have you to broke to replace your gun. Expect family members to try and cash in no matter what the circumstances.
  10. Probably after those catfish the size of volkswagens.
  11. Off topic a little but how about that muddy eagle rock boat ramp!? Lol
  12. Hence I carry ALL the time, yes even in my boat despite the criticism. This and other incidents show why it's necessary. God bless the family. His age no doubt makes the sting that much worse.
  13. 2" below sounds crazy high to me. I hope you have a water pressure gauge. 1/4" at a time is all it should be moved. Bassboatcentral has good setup info.
  14. Good gravy man that's awesome! Boat in tow also?
  15. Ty sir. I will report back if I do anything worth mentioning.
  16. Definitely this. Sure you should try a tempest but I'd expect a trophy 24-25p to be where you need to be. Also don't assume full trim is the fastest for all boats. Trim it all the way, get it leveled off on speed, then bump the trim down while watching the gps.
  17. I'm hoping to be out of eagle rock tomorrow. Its uncertain whether I can get my boat unstuck from the trailer! Is it safe to assume the water is clearer here? I'm not expecting to set a record tomorrow, just enjoy a day on the water with one or both of my boys.
  18. You bet buddy. I hope all that riding is worth it too! Fortunately I only need to bring gear and ride in one of their boats. We are staying in a camping trailer they have down there so lodging is free. Hard to beat that deal.
  19. Also a builder here. I assume they use a China marker to mark the blank like most. I'm pretty sure it's a metal check but I could be wrong. If it is and is not sized right (small) it would definitely either damage the blank on installation or not give enough when flexed. Another possibility is its a blank epoxied in a pre made handle which is becoming more and more popular.
  20. Good granny!!! Lots of great info here guys and I appreciate it! Hopefully we land on a good weather week. Anything is possible in March. I I know my friends family are big fans of throwing arigs and swim baits. No matter what it's going to be a learning experience and I'm glad I got the opportunity. This may sound a little silly but let's say it's an average trip, weather and fish cooperation. What should I expect as an average for numbers and size? I know that's kinda wide open.
  21. The last week of March or first week of April I'm going with a guy from church. He has family around there. We will be in their boats. I was told I didn't need to bring anything but I'm not leaving without my own equipment. Should be interesting. All I know is it has a lot of trees and they get big there. The spawn should be on the second half by then I'd think. I wish it were possible to go the second week of March. Anyone have any advice to offer?
  22. Seems like the first gen carbonlites had the same issue. I don't remember for sure but I think it was the winding check in front of the seat causing the damage and of course that's where the break would happen. My guess is they were to snug on the blank.
  23. Awesome Bo thanks for posting. The depth sounds good but not getting hung up sounds even better. As far as rapalas go I have some self modified risto's that I throw at wart time that are very productive. I can't honestly say it'll out fish a wart but it does get a little deeper and is silent if I don't add a rattle. Also I'm with trophy on the predators. Great knock off bait though the plastic is a touch softer
  24. I plan on hitting the lake once and expo. I didn't last time and regret it.
  25. Fantastic post!
