    I don't guess I'm picking up what you're throwing down. I mean could it be that lucky strike had Tim design the paint? Maybe that's why it looks like the bps exclusive paint.

    Btw the new "old" v38 looks good! I hope they do that with all the colors because the new new paint jobs really suck. They look like crappy cartoon versions of the old paint. Not sure what they were thinking there. I imagine it be "old" paint isn't a special run and we'll start seeing a lot more of it. The bps exclusive colors look good too imo

    Interesting. Thank you. I'm gonna throw one sometime when I feel like experimenting. I've used the flat a's in the fall at Stockton before with success.

    Just don't buy it at bps whatever you do. Go to universalmania.com. Mucho better pricing right on the site. They can even do a little better sometimes if you call.

    I threw one of the crawlers today just a little. It does seem to dive a little deeper. The bank I was one was really to steep for a typical wart deal. It casts good and reels/pulls no harder than a wart. I used the same rod and it worked great.

    This is slightly off topic but when do you all fish the flat wart? I've only got a couple.

    I think we are putting in at cape fair. The hope is to get schooled on winter crappie. I'm not a crappie fisherman so this should be interesting. I'll also throw the rock crawler around some. If I had it my way we'd limit out on 15" crappie in an hour then go chasing bass.

    I understand the simplicity part. I used to run a garmin 240 back in the day. Worked great until the transducer craps out.

    The thing I like about garmin is they flat throw the wattage to their units. Even the inexpensive ones.

    If you can't see a jig on your 798 there's a problem somewhere. That unit is waaaay more than capable.
