Always do the lake math yourself. I actually have several waypoints that show DRY LAND when in fact they are 20yrds offshore. As I alluded to earlier until bathometric maps are available we are just at the mercy of who we have now. Navionics being about the best I have found.

Hog, they don't on the units account for lake fluctuation. On the internet link go to the bottom left corner you will see what looks like a speaker icon click it, it will get you more contour lines. On the water you need to do the math to figure out depth vs line on map.

Navionics for me as well. But I will add I make my own maps as outside of a true bathometric survey map no commercially available map has the pinpoint details to my knowledge and I have yet to find a Bath for our lakes yet.

I wouldn't put a War Eagle in above 62 Bridge that water gets skinny and rocky and without a lot of knowledge of the area is dangerous. Launch at Holiday Island or Houseman access ( I prefer Holiday Island as its a nice ramp and safer for vehicles being left ). RPS covered everything else nicely but remember it gets cold on the river so be prepared for that. Also if they generate watch for shad stuns the trout and walleye will go on a chew as will the local stripers.

I had some time to come up with where I would rank the top 10 teams for BCS Football as of today. #1 Alabama ( Last years National Champion gives them #1 status until they loose ) #2 Ohio State ( 19 straight wins puts them in a solid second ) #3 Baylor ( Here is a school that has had quality opponents and well rounded play to win) #4 Oregon ( blowing out opponents is one thing but you need quality wins they get in only because of the wins from last year and this year) #5 Florida State ( very well rounded team facing some true competition and getting the job done ) #6 Missouri ( 7-0 record and in control of their own destiny they still need to face a upper end SEC opponent to go higher ) #7 Northern Ill ( record moves them up over other teams who have been beat ) #8 Texas Tech ( record moves them up over other teams who have been beat ) #9 Fresno State ( record moves them up over other teams who have been beat ) #10 U- Miami ( record moves them up over other teams who have been beat ) Top ten should be based on record until one is beat a O-Loss should take precedence. The top 4 last year and this years records speak volumes to them disserving to be there. Florida edged out Missouri for 5th but I had to look at stats and Florida had the edge all be it slight.

AWEEEEEEEEEE THE BCS Poll is out this is what I like for making end of year predictions. Looking over the BCS poll, Mizz gets a SEC Championship Appearance! ATM already has 2 losses so they are out. LSU has 2 losses they are out. Auburn has 1 loss and has Bama still should be a 2 loss Arkansas is a non-factor as is Ole Miss. ( Bama has the SEC WEST LOCKED) . Mizz has the points and the schedule at this point to be the East representative I don't see a Loss to Kentucky or Tennessee, That is a 9-3 record worse Beat SC or Ole Miss and its as for certain as anything can be in BCS. If its a lock-in when Mizz plays ATM do not play your starters no need for injury before you have to meet Bama. All the above subject to change at the discretion of the BC$$$$$ and what bowl will make them the most money.

OTF is a good rule and has made an impact on the positive side, players are even showing they know they are getting the flag before it comes out. That said especially the last part it makes me think though they know it because of where the contact was. That is a good thing but that also tells me the player was probably innocent of the "intent"! Intent being the very thing the league is trying to get out of the game. The officials ( im talking schools, coaches and officials ) have already said they will be looking at it this off season and changing it. That statement alone is enough to have warranted overturning the rest of this season the "penalty" part if overturned by replay officials. But it is what it is this year. Next year most the talk is about doing this. 1. Official on the field makes the call. 2. Instantly goes to replay official 3. If there is no intent then its overturned and no penalty yards. I can agree with that fully, But they need to have a very direct definition of what "intentional targeting" is. Crown of the helmet above the shoulders or below the waist is not always intentional and the replay official must have specific guidelines. I think they are smart enough to figure out a guy leading with his helmet with a lunge is intentional. A guy that hits a taller person in the head by act of him coming down or attempting to make a tackle where the other player lowers himself down is not. There has been three plays I can think of a RB lowered himself as the D-player was coming in to tackle the D-player was called for targeting when it was a very clean hit. This is a violent sport injuries will happen you cant take all the hitting out unless you want it to be flag football and the league needs to be careful how much of the game they remove without very careful thought before enacting. #5 That surprises me.

Worse rule to EVER come out! Not that it is not needed but for god sake THINK BEFORE ENACTING! It has affected several big games this year. Real simple if the player is not ejected, then the call on the field was wrong and no penalty should be assigned. Also this call MUST have the automatic review and be much clearer defined. Ive seen several smaller players kicked out for hitting a taller opponent "crown" that looking at it is clearly just a Shorty vs Giant and that needs to be taken in to account. Its a simple fix and should have already been handled. #1 If overturned by review then the entire penalty is overturned! #2 Must take "intent" into account not height or where the hit happened but was there intent or was it unavoidable contact. I don't think anyone can argue a true intentional targeting vs a game speed or unavoidable hit because of game speed. I hated the dam thing when it came out and said it will affect games and it has!

Oregon has to get past UCLA and Stanford, Probably will of the two Stanford might be the hardest of the two. Ohio has Penn and Michigan to get past, Penn is playing with heart and sometimes that can beat you I doubt it but possible, Michigan is tough any year The Sems have 2 instate rivalry teams either one could beat them Baylor is where the concern lies they have a hell of a team and I don't see them getting beat easily by any of their remaining opponents, simply put they are blowing people out. There is also an interesting side note on this if you look at it in a BCS way ( if that's humanely possible ) Baylor is Big 12 which gives them an automatic Fiesta Bowl Birth! This could screw them in a Tie situation with Oregon as Oregon is Pac12 (formerly pac10) which gives them the Rose Bowl automatic birth. << just saying with BCS you never know what they might pull >> Bama I don't see a loss but with LSU you never know Mizz looks good but as I said before Ole Miss is tough and they proved it yesterday and ATM with JFF I think is a loss. SC better not take thme lightly. Gut is Oregon v Bama. Baylor is a maybe Mizz has to go undefeated plus beat Bama in the SEC CG that's a tall order.
