Al, I know what you are saying don't get me wrong, but when I still see people loosing their houses and cars and struggling to make ends meet and then see our government ( state local or fed ) spending time on this petty of an issue it makes me mad. They should be worried more about fixing our economy and a host of other issues long before they worry about this stuff. Kinda like gun laws right now states trying to pass higher taxes and claim it will cut down on gun violence! What a joke and waste of time when so many criminals have been asked and said they got them stolen off the street or stole them! Its just another example of waste although it is a way to get more taxes. Why cant our government worry about whats important and to me that would be the financial stability of the country and especially the people!

I have trolled a few times at night and it can be productive but its hard to find anyone that wants to go for a late night run. It is difficult by yourself to man the rods and keep control of the boat at night. I have found it to be a much shallower approach than day fishing with water depths of 6 to 10 fow as average fishing long points. I haven't done the light fishing in a long time but its always on the list and I KNOW its productive.

Its amazing what technology has done for fishing. In this case im referring to phone calls. My brother and I have done the little stunt of trolling the same place for years and it still is an amazing site to see two boats working together to put fish in the boats. We use to do it with up to 5 friends before the cell phone age. Back then it was everyone meet at the back of a cove. Pick the respective baits and then the depth. Normally one guy would start shallow 6fow then the next out to 10 then 15 etc. At the end of the run we would meet up talk about what we saw and set up for runs on the most productive depth with lures designed for it. 4 or 5 passes later meet up and discuss what caught what then all switch to it. Talk about seining an area but highly effective. When we found the few pockets of mass schools all of us would pull up next to each other and flip swim baits or jigs in the area. Funny to some to think about 5 boats all working together but the results were amazing, but warning to others it wasn't uncommon to see pranks going on as well. God help the person afraid of snakes or other scary or stinky objects.

Fisher if you checking in on phone head to rocky branch and try working flats points and coves work 15 to 20 fow range. Also take your time in coves crappie are hanging on trees ( cedars ) and walleye are roaming under bait find the right ball find walleye but if its a short move on they are hanging out with the same sizes. North side of the lake is full of little kantucks lol.

Al, you have to remember she loves to hunt and fish as well and lord forbid the boat not be in proper working condition lol.

I'm annoyed by a lot of things the government is doing and does. They worry about such little trivial things and lose sight of the bigger issues. This issue is just another of their attempts to eliminating the possibility of "offending" anyone. The funny thing is They have offended far more people by this action had they left well enough alone. They just don't think things through, they think of the few while offending the many. How about they let the Attorneys and Courts worry about the correctness of the words in writing of Laws or Court Cases?

Little cheating going on, My brother was out and so was Doc and keeping phone calls going helped a lot. If more people would communicate on the water more fish would be in trouble lol. Shad is insane the amount running around tack on fry and there is a lot of food in the lake.

Good news and hope the MDOC gets the goods and the guy gets the penalty Poaching is not excusable in any reality

What a GREAT MORNING. Calm beautiful sunrise and even had a Bald Eagle fly between my boat and Docs. Fishing wasn't bad at all a large number of Bass ( inflated numbers by a wad of 12 to 13 inch kentucks that forced me out of an area, 8 walleye and a white. On the water at 5:15 off at 11 and no hassles frustrations or rude people. I have to say I am seeing a tremendous turn around in the Smallmouth on the lake my average fish is 2 pounds and many 3 to 4 pounders each trip just keeps putting a smile on this brown lover.

Sits in the garage where all boats belong, my truck in the driveway ready for hook-up and wifes truck on the street.

Moto Im in construction and didn't offend me. Pretty accurate description of many contractors I know to be truthful. But then again truthful to many professions. Don't stress it man we all get frustrated and its nice to know occasionally we can vent in a place others understand it.

My favorite of all times was a very attractive young lady ( DO NOT LET KIDS READ FURTHER ) at the dock with her husband / boy friend. He was yelling at her and telling her how to load a the boat. After awhile She had had enough and Flashed her rather substantial Tits and said She had major applause from all the other people around and then took a bow... Come to find out a few weeks later her daddy was a guide and she grew up on the water the guy was her boyfriend.

The E5 will do what you seem to want. But if you are not using it but a few times a year I would look at the Mark5 it is much lower in price but still gives good detail imo. Most people want color this and that but unless you are using the boat a lot B&W is just fine, I actually use B&W more than anything else on my HDS units.

Ed, I think it is most people are afraid of loading and unloading and or being embarrassed at the ramp. They are not familiar with their own trailer simple as that and if they spent a few trips in the slow season to the ramp and practiced it would be much smoother. Others are just idiots who think the world revolves around them I.E those who load and unload everything at the ramp tying it up while others are forced to wait.

Wrech, that is the entire point I was getting at. There are many words out there you hear and depending on where you are from. Why is that word the ones that is so bad. My best friends a Pollock and trust me I still call him one. Of all the words you listed only the "C" word is the only one I would even find distasteful and it takes me being very angry to use it. I've been called a cracker, redneck, hillbilly and even honkey! Maybe it is simply I don't care about a word ( sticks and Stones ) What I find pathetic is people are offended by a word! It is a Racial thing but the word is not the problem its those in the race that are using it as a crutch of some sort! America was a country in 1783 Slavery was abolished in 1865 that's 82 years of our history slavery was legal out of 230 years! And the real kicker is some of the largest slave holders were Blacks.
