Justin, ive only seen them in demo, practicle application worries me though we see new products like this in roofing and they normally dont last long I would have to see them in use for more than 3 years to be honest with you. To detract from this thread I'll start a thread on house's ask away i'll do my best to answer the questions there. -

And I will be happy to make money off those who think like that all day long. That is the point though. Why should I be making money off it when its preventable. -

Wayne that inconvenience is harmful when you talk about cost to the family. That is something I do not think all the rocket scientist take into thought. Yes it could be good in new construction as an original cost, but retrofitting a house is very costly. -

Any penetration of any kind will in time create a leak on a roof. I am firmly against solor tubes and skylights even. Even with the best installers and methods it is still a penetration point for water. Screws are one of the worse. I cant tell you how many Sat Dishes I have seen cause a leak. Sure caulk it or tar it but if not maintained will leak within a year and even with care at best 5 years. Then there is the potential for snow load or ice load both I have seen cause damages compounded by the Panels simply weight to framing ratio. Not near as bad on engeenered trussing compared to stick framing but stil an issue. Now for the damage. when a leak caused by the install of the panels occur you need to remove the panels $$$ remove and replace the shingles and 9 out of 10 times decking as it takes time for the homeowner to detect the rot to the wood has been done. Then you need to reinstall everything only to have it happen again. Insurance is of NO help as it is NOT stoerm created. I do energy calcs on houses often and can tell you this the best cost effective thing home owners can possibly do is have proper ventilation in the attic, proper insulation in walls and attic, Installing a thermostat in the house that has a dual setting for heat and cool with time modes for when to come on and off to maintain those temps.. My preffered range is 82 summer comming on at 3:30 to cool the house for half an hour before my family comes home and in winter maintain 65 constant. Install energy star appliances. Very simple things but will prolong the life of a house and the cost of maintaining it. Most people do not think about the Thermostats and for very cheap you can save a lot. If the AC isnt running in summer for 8 to 10 hours a day how much saveings is that? Also Water Heaters are a big cost as is highflow older toilets. Then there is all the stuff people leave plugged in and never think about. Cell chargers, alarm clocks, computers. You may not think about it but they are on and eating energy. Before I would ever think of alternitive energy for my house I would look at how much energy my house uses and how I can reduce that footprint. -

Yes it uses roofs and as a roofer I can tell you the cost for a new roof when you have to take one of them off and the damage they cause to roofs IS NOT cost effective in the long run. Then take into account we live in Hail Alley AND if that wasnt bad enough POA HOA rules that may prohibit then from being installed or installed to maximize their benifits. Im not saying solar is not a bad thing but for the residential application, its not the way to go YET. Commerical application yes it could have benifits. -
I use sheet metal sheers. Cut down both sides of the back bone then from the top down to the belly take your fillet knife and fillet it from top to bottom. One of the best ways to cook them is to buy cedar planks. Soak the plank in water for 4 hours, After the soak place sliced apple on the plank and and the fish on that and baste in olive oil. Add salt pepper and your other favorite spices and cook at 400 for about 1 hour and remove.... You can substitute the apple for other things Orange and Key Lime are also excellant choices. If more people knew how good they were we would surely have less of them that much is for certain.

Wayne one thing that saved some houses in CA was people put sprinkler systems on their roofs. Home Made pvc pipe designed to set on the peak of the roof and they turned them on when a fire was near. I saw houses that survived when the ones around them were gone. Some of them also used it durring the peak of the afternoon to help cool the houses ( dont know if it saved them money or not ) and as somone who deals with roofs daily not sure I would say do it for cooling.

Better check with the ACC they will want their money for it lol

Resident Goose = Bow Hunting and probably my favorite time of year... I know how wrong it is of me to stand on the bow of the boat acting like im throwin out food and for them to come swimming or running to me then letting the arrows fly but dam its funny. Buts wrong is quickly come over when the poppers and jerky are in front of me. This year looks to be a banner crop of Young Geese and I've already started picking out spots to take them out come opener and there is a lot of areas its going to be hard to pick just one.

Dont you have a wayward decoy that strayed from your flock to someone elses also lol... All mine were put up the last day of the season ready for this years. The best thing I ever did was go to 12slot bags and long lines sets it just makes it so easy on that last day to take some windex and rags as you are picking up and wipe them down good. I have a few goose floaters that need some repair though, my brother seems to give me a few new rattlers every year. I hope the lakes keep dropping, low water on Beaver opens up some awesome spots to hunt.

Living through the Cali wildfires many times and knowing how dry things are here I would hate to think of what will happen if we get a strong wind and any kind of fire. Started, conditions are right for a massive fire in the Ozarks and with all the building that went on since the last major fire I fear property loss will be high. I hope it doesnt happen but the terrain is similar to Cali and there is a lot of dry fuel on the ground.

Oh trust me Justin I use to Hoot and Holler with the best of them and still do. I just dont see a reason for the drugs ( and they are illegal ) and I dont need alchol for it. Drinking doesnt bother me heck I use to drink stuff that would make most people puke fast. But I learned drinking doesnt mean getting hammered! I see way to much hammered and power drinkers than those who actually drink a beer or two. That is where the problem is and those are the ones who need the silver charm braclets put on them.

But is this the behavior we want the Scouts to learn and think is ok? Is this the behavior we want the Church groups to think is ok? and they do have a powerful voice in the community one I have seen strong enough to cause laws to be enacted. I think it is more important for them, myself and others NOT to have to see and deal with it. If I saw this behavior at a park or anyplace else I would call the police and you can bet arrest would be made for D&D. So why is it acceptable for our lakes and rivers? Now this one I cant pass up and its a shot right at you Justin ( ATARI ) Dam son your showing your age! Even I know its X-box or Playstation 3 lol ( but i know what pong is and played it)

As to how, The national database of people with felonies probably needs to be better, unfortunately on the mental illness side that is confidential information betwenn the Pat and Doc... But A criminal will still get a weapon if he wants. Gun Laws are strict as are criminal punishments for them its getting the judge to go with the tougher penalty that is the problem. I support the Use a Gun in a crime go to jail for 25 year minimum. I am not worried about the big mouths dealt with plenty of them, I tend to walk away and ignore them, they can call me all the names in the book those dont bother me and should one take it further there I think I can handle the situation and defuse it with minimal force, but prefer not to have it go that far.

Biggest Walleye Lake
Feathers and Fins replied to Feathers and Fins's topic in General Angling Discussion
From all my research I have been doing it seems Stockton for numbers, Greers for size and the sleeper has to go to Beaver..... Outside this forum I have not been able to find anything of note on Beaver. There is a little on TR. I hope more people add their views to this. It also appears that Southern Walleye fishing is done very diffrent from Northern fishing and the fish are much larger in the south. Its been fun learning about them and reading on the fisheries. -
A good friend of mine is a geologist I will ask him what is in the area and see if he has some suggestions. Are you wanting tour or wild?

Bad example with Zimmerman as he should not have had a gun to start with look at his past actions ones that should have prevented him from having a gun. But I do get your point. Im not sure how to answer it other than saying there are people who should not have a drivers license or be allowed to breed. Like Taters says " You cant fix stupid''
