Pssttt I have told you before throw Play clothes in your car and let me know when you want to go play your right on the way to the lake lol.

One of the largest Tournaments start this weekend on the lake and it will be a good indication of where the best place to fish for Bass will be. However in your time frame I would trailer the boat to Hickory Creek or Prairie Creek and head up river. The dam area is home to Kentuckies and Smallies. It is possible to get them on any of the methods you talked about but It could be a very long day with few fish. The river area will be the best bet hands down.

A 20pnd walleye is rare anyplace, age of lake prey cover blah blah blah and it goes on. Is there one or two? There is as good a chance in it than any other lake. But I bet there is many in the 7 to 10lb class and would not be surprised at all to see some in the 15 to 17range.

I turned over my garden beds last week and added a bunch of shad to it at the time. I will start adding the miracle grow over the top for the next 4 weeks ( just sprinkle it and let it soak in ) When the 10 day looks good I will start planting. First in will be the Green Beans, Lettuce and Onions followed by the Peppers, Cucumbers and Maters. Im looking at probably a March 15th start date.

#2 I just do not want to see Beaver Lake looking like so many other lakes where its shorelines are filled with docks, I get people who live on the lake want docks But I would rather see 1 or 2 docks for a community than 10 o 20 single slip docks littering the shoreline. Docks detract from the Natural Beauty of the lake and there is many docks that look like trash cans imo.

They run up freshwater streams and rivers. There is some awesome videos on Youtube showing it, I get lost watching fish spawning runs though dreaming about being there.

Ive been working on a paper for a long time about landlocked stripers its being reviewed by a few people but I will post it when its done. pretty neat stuff I have learned in doing the research. ( Teaser Alert )

Actually for the trout I have seen how fast they get pulled from lake Atalanta and believe at PC there would be better enforcement to ensure more people have a chance than just a few loading trucks up. Plus its an area that has ample shoreline for families and allow boaters as well to have fun. Stripers might come in to play at some point but so long as the alternate stocking locations and days and maybe even raise some larger trout I don't think it would become an issue. I would just like to see families without boats given a nice safe place with ample parking a chance to have some fun.

We were shocked when we cleaned it Both Yak and I thought big girl but curiosity got to me and we slit open the belly and it was full of Milt and Shad. I would have bet everything on Female. We didn't go for the Ots as Blackened striper was really on our mind, that fish went from flopping to cooking in very short order. Cleaned processes and then spiced, let seasoning have 1/2 hour to soak in and it met the Cast Iron even J-doc was over and got some so it fed 4 people and still had plenty left over for another round later this week.

What I would like to see; No wake zones established in any Cove where the shoreline is less than 200 yards high water to High water or where underwater obstructions (pole timber) could cause harm to persons or watercraft. Moratorium on all docks that cannot hold more than 10 boats and all slips must be sold prior to the dock being installed and be (community only docks) as well as removal of all single boat docks. Monte Ne Historical area turned in to a Park and Ramp improvements (3 lane ramp with floating docks ) Playground and concessions sites, possibly even rebuilding of the old Motels and have them turned in to turn of the century shops as well as a paved area for parking. Also have a Building with the Historical information of Beaver Lake there with a possible meeting hall for groups. Trout Stocking at Prairie Creek and Monte Ne when water temperatures permit. Placement of Fishing Piers at each state park and 12 bridge area. The first one should be a no brainer it’s a safety issue. The second one is more esthetics, Beaver is a beautiful lake and I really do not want to see it go the way of other lakes where its scenery is destroyed by one dock after another. The third would give people a place where they can enjoy the lake that is historical plus with a building/meeting area a place central to most cities for groups to meet and the history of the lake past and present to be archived and researchable. The 4th though I’m by no means an avid trout fishermen many people enjoy it and that would be a great winter fishery for the lake as well as a safe place and more importantly enforceable area. And finally one of the biggest things I hear is where to fish from shore and unless you own property or know someone there really is not many places available for people.

Micro Guides And Braid Line ?
Feathers and Fins replied to PAT92B's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
When I use to use braid for saltwater I just used threading needles ran it up through the braid and cut out the knot process, never had an issue using that technique but you had to do it prior to going out as it was time consuming. 30ft of Fluorocarbon leader was max and average was 15ft. Lightest braid I did it on was 30lb but I suppose it could be done even lighter. -
They seem to survive nicely in Southern California reservoirs during the summer and those lakes are much smaller than these and certainly get much hotter (Surface temp) there is probably a untapped fishery overlooks on TR. Makes you wonder if there is not some monster Trout swimming in the lake?

First, great fish, second your insane I love it I thought I was the only one crazy enough to fish in insane conditions.
-
What a great looking fish and certainly a lifetime fish. Good for him. As to people talking trash, Jealousy, Greed etc etc. I have read on other forums people saying they should have let it go so it could be a state record, Hmmm it would be ok to kill it to have it recorded but not ok for this guy to kill it to eat, makes ya wonder.

3 AGM batteries on board and lots of very good friends that were ready willing and able to help. All was good except the fact we had to leave the bite. I was more upset about that than the breakdown, those can be fixed missing out on monster stripers can't you got to get them when they want to play lol.

Its corrected. all is good

Snow Goose conservation order is the best proof in the world for the lack of need of Three Shots in a gun, You can only shoot 6 waterfowl (ducks a day) well unless the lack of moisture in the Dakotas and Canada this year put us back to a restricted season then 3 shots will be all you need. Only thing the three shot rule does now is reduces the ammo makers a little less rich. I caught 4 fish John caught 2 fish I can only keep 2 more of that species and he can keep 6 more simple as that. Sorry I know common-core might make that equation much longer and harder to figure out though.
