  1. So what you'rs saying Joe is your putting your boat in the shop to have quad-merc-300's put on it, because doc and I both know you don't like being outrun.
  2. If the temps keep dropping WC they will be put up by the second week in September and heck we might be shoveling snow by October. Wont phase me a bit I have the gear to keep on having fun even in the coldest conditions and my boat aint afraid of ice lol.
  3. There is not a thing wrong with catfish unless you have walleye in the boat. Cleaning them is simple just fillet like you would a walleye. I will keep them between 2 and 4 pounds but that's my favorite eating size but a walleye comes in the boat the kittys get a instant pardon.
  4. VERY NICE
  5. Oh that hoochie has me thinking. I use to tie hundreds of them for Mackerel and Kingfish never thought of doing it for walleye. Now I need to make a call damit.
  6. Love the spin a glows myself, and I as well enjoy tying them up. There is no wrong pattern as long as you can imagine one a fish will bite it.
  7. After Labor day My Gun and Bow gets pulled out and I forget about fishing in pursuit of Duck and Goose... Well not completely true if I limit on them fast I do go fishing. I was just talking to a friend and he has been fishing the lake since day 1 and said this is the worse year ever for stupidity by people and he flat out blames it on Benton County going WET... Use to be you had to go to Springdale or Pineville to buy, now its easy to get and close by and no worry of check points or getting caught on the streets. I kinda have to agree with him, I have seen more drinking on the water this year than in years past as well.
  8. Brian, you have seen me ride big wakes imagine what it took to throw me off balance. I worry about you man if these fools did it to you, you would be in the water at best. And yes its out of hand,
  9. Obviously you haven't been to PC lately and seen the broken cleat's on the docks and exposed metal. Yes they can close the park down for the politicians BS but lord help them if they would lift a finger for safety concerns. Thanks about the leg im sure it will heal im just pissed off, I really looked forward to a midweek quiet day of taking Nick's fish from him. I did manage a pair of small walleye and a WO white bass bite I would have sat on all day.
  10. Or it would cause far more tree's to pop up I love low water it makes being a brush farmer much easier and that harvest is always beneficial
  11. I saw a bunch today Jason all floating around, the owner showed up at 7:30 for a few of them but there was far more not attended. Im not so worried about a prop as a kid skiing or tubing hitting one and getting a 4/0 hook in the eye or other part of the body.
  12. Well tack this on to Wake Boaters who think its funny to come head on at you while your jigging. Cut my day short because of it to go home and take care of it and get it up and elevated its so nice and swollen now. Guy came head on at me and about 15 to 20 yards away raised his beer! No I didn't have time to get the numbers wake was on me to fast and I was trying to keep from being thrown out of the boat but got this instead. Yes I know I need a tan!
  13. Was nice this morning till a wake boater came by and caused me to fall tearing the hell out of my leg
  14. That is why they have the citric acid additive Wayne. I have not had a issue since I started using it on maters and beans. Fish I definitely agree with you on the need for a cooker.
  15. That's a good day on the water any day.
  16. I never pressure cook I like to bath all y canning so no help here.
  17. I have so many it would be impossible but the messier the sauce is to make the better it is to eat so I will go with one of them. 2 cups fresh Molasses 2 cups fresh local honey 2 cups A1 sauce 1 cup Worcestershire sauce 4 Bell peppers pureed 2 Jalapeno pureed 4 Large tomatoes peeled and pureed 2 Vidalia onions pureed 1 Red Onion pureed 2 lemons squeezed 1/4 cup sesame seed 1 garlic glove finely diced Add all those in a large pot and bring to a boil... then reduce to simmer stir every 15 minutes, at 1 hour add 1 cup of brown sugar and keep cooking and stirring at 2 hours add 1 cup of Makers Mark Bourbon and continue cooking for an hour. Bring back to a boil a rolling boil stirring often for 15 minutes. You will want to have sterilized 8 to 10 1/2 pint jars during the cooking and pour the contents in them. Set them in boiling water for 15 minutes and pull out put on a towel and let cool till they seal.
  18. Duck season for sure... Ill bring you up some salsa and bbq sauce.
  19. This really could have gone in here or on the gardening thread. I spent most the day canning up and making tons of Salsa. The garden really went crazy and I had to put it to use, next week I will be starting on the BBQ Sauce full force. But this is one of several buckets today, And this is where it ended up. Now I did do one Jar for those people who always say they can handle any salsa and no one can make it to hot. This is what I used you tell me how hot you think it is. I got my hands on a Carolina Reaper and added Habanero, JalapeƱo, green-red-yellow-purple Bells, Vidalia onion, chives, cilantro and lots of maters.
  20. I let the fish and conditions dictate the presentation. I start off with jigging and if that doesn't work ill go to tightline swimming then and keep playing till I find what works.
  21. I know what your doing but wont tell lol. The giant spoons are nothing news worthy its an old bait and they have caught many big bass throw some bucktail on the treble and throw it out and work it surface in midfall and early spring and in summer deep jig it in open water around big shad in these lakes the Cal guys did it around trout and the FL boys did it around Golden Shiners. I would hold on and be ready for a smile factor of 10+ when you do hook up because it should be a bigun.
  22. First nice mess, Nathan there are so many Bobby Martin colors it will make your head spin, My favorites are Monkey Milk, Pearl White, Electric Chicken but I have I think most the Baby Shad swimr's. What makes them so good is the movement IMO and the ease of use.
  23. You are dedicated I will give you that. Today looks like it will be even worse, no way I would be on the lake after 11am.
  24. MG here love it no problems other than it with its remote promotes feet up in the drivers seat, it really does promote laziness and when I actually do get on the bow NO DAM FOOT PEDAL IN MY WAY!!!! That in itself is worth it.
  25. did you move your sonar Jason?
