Due to envy of the above side barn door people were unable to respond. I aint sure what is happening with TR cats this year unfortunately been to busy with walleye on Beaver. But you may want to try the James river. If you really want catfish arguably one of the best cat lakes in the states is only about an hour or so from you in Oklahoma ( Grand Lake O the Cherokee ) wish I could be more helpful but with the eye's biting so well this year I haven't ventured over there much.

I just have major concerns when I keep hearing of delays on a product. The longer they sit on product the more it cost them and it makes me wonder is it the product? I would much rather have to wait till next year at this point to hear revues now before buying them. If they would have released them on time and then told everyone they would be releasing more as they can get them out I would have bought a bunch as soon as possible. I really am having concerns over is it product problems.

Berkley may well have angered many anglers with that one, I understand the demand was more than any other lure in recent memory and they were not prepared for it but this is only my opinion mind you, they should start filling orders ASAP and not hold out to fill 80% because those order may well keep coming in and 80% could be next spring.... Just get them out and fill them as they can people will wait knowing the backlog but to not put them out has me concerned is there something else wrong with the bait which now has me wondering if I shouldn't hold off getting them till the revues on forums from anglers are in on them.

They don't though is the issue. I don't know why but I have put my camera down I will see a few but nothing like when they make the run up-river. I don't think there is a large population of fish that stay upriver. I have seen some big girls for sure but not near the numbers I would have thought I would with such a wonderful prey source. They really do seem to go up river for fun and then leave fast for the main lake.

Ive seen a few that clients had from TR that were 16 to 17 on the plaque.

I don't think they are leaving the river this year which should make for a very interesting winter and spring run. I was trying to find the last time I caught whites let alone surface whites in the river this time of year and I haven't. You had a good night for sure...

Suggestion is to go get live Brooder Minnows and small bluegill and live bait them at this point.

OHHHHHH that minnow looks like a creek chub walleye around here will love it

They are in schools but your boat is moving and you are pulling bait behind you, you may go over a school but odds are your bait will get someones attention you didn't see.

Awe come on he has to be at least 4ft 6'' so he can figure out leader length with trimming to hit 4ft

my guess would be you will get blind strikes. they are open water this time of year unless you can pin them up someplace. I really only use my graph this time of year for stripers to make sure im on track for humps and points and pay little attention to the sonar other than verify depth.

it always amazes me how a 23'' walleye dwarfs a 18'' in pure mass. Looks like a good day and with 3 to 4 inches of rain tomorrow if they are right it should make it even better

My map is purely off experience this time of year and there is a lot of points I would come across.

If I was going out tonight I would use this pattern. I would troll 6 Inch swim baits ( unless I had live bait )

Run the tips of them that is where the fish seem to have been holding, for stripers ( I to was wondering if you were after them or walleye ) I would plot out a course the holds you near the channel edges of the old white river in the 3o to 50ft range keeping bait in the 30 range....

On the topic of keeping fish in the well. If you are doing it PLEASE make sure the ice is in a plastic jug of some sort or non-chlorinated water or you are doing more harm than good. When I tourney fished I used the little 8oz coke bottles I would fill up the well and then add bottles till I got to the lake temp at the depth the fish were down and had enough bottles to keep the temp cold all day if needed in a ice chest. As for the bends in a tourney you should have a needle and know how to use it. Regular pleasure fishing I watched a show a while back where they used downriggers to drop the fish back down fast to keep them for diing no needle. Seems to work and has me thinking about doing it some how.

It was 65 last fourth of July. Global this Global that the earth has been heating and cooling its entire life. But the research on the earth is big money and great for politics. What angers me over it is all the Job that are not being created because some say ( unproven but theoretical ) its warming. When I see families that REAL PEOPLE not theories and definitely provable that are suffering because of the entire Global Warming argument that is when I smell the stench of Washington DC. And nothing smells worse than that or screws up things worse.
