12 Bridge area water temp 78 to 82 depth surface to 25fow water clarity 5 to 7 ft Bait. Flicker shad #7, XPS spoon, Bobby Garland baby shad and top water baits Both days produced good numbers of crappie, hybrids, whites and stripers from surface down to 25fow. The surface action was great on Sunday evening and would have been better without boats running through them so if you can get out mid week DO IT. The stripers are small 1 to 2 pounds with hybrids going up to 10lbs its an early morning or late evening surface bite after that switch to trolling points and cuts to locate suspended crappie. Once you catch on cover the area again and if you catch a second switch to the Bobby Garlands and XPS Spoon. I know I keep saying it but that spoon is awesome and its only that spoon that seems to be the ticket this year. Snap your wrist when using it no more than a three foot fast jerk caused by the wrist snap and let it free fall back down and repeat the strikes are coming on the snap and the fall so be ready when you snap to have a fish on it.

Sharpy the line at 10ft intervals with Black and 5ft intervals with Red. Now if im trolling soft plastics such as keitech I use spinning gear and count out to a 40 count to reach 8 to 10fow it as well is affective but not precise and only use it in shallow water.

Slice and desead pepper. These are Anaheims. Deep fry in butter applying pressure so the pepper lays flat. Pull out and blot with towel. Put cream cheese. Grated Parmesan and Mozzarella on it. Deep fry crappie and then place on the pepper Wrap the crappie in a blanket or put two fillets on the pepper and put a blanket of another pepper over them Place in a pan and heat covered till cheese melts about a minute.

I was on the water at Beaver Lake today at the crack of Summer, by 10am it was time to leave I had already taken several wakes one that actually made it over the bow with me at idle speed.

Its ok Joe, I cant seem to come off the crappie this year and I'm sure not going to complain about it either. All 12'' plus fish again for the table

My knives go through not only Fish but Deer, Duck, Goose and Turkey like butter. Fish I only need to polish the edge about every month and Game I need to sharpen and hone when needed. Knives are always a preference for most people these suit me and work day in day out. But on the impressed front I do own ALL the KNIVES OF ALASKA for a reason. I just cant put an electric to anything, In all fairness to other brands I grew up working the sport fleet out of SoCal and you either got real good with a blade and filleting or you didn't make tips.

Wayne you cant separate them I tried finding any data on it and its just not there. However that said it is not difficult just be simple observation to see the Wake. Jetskie boats and cruisers of unusual size ( princess bride lol ) are far outnumbered by the fishing boats, canoes, Kayaks on a year round base. What I found interesting was the pure dollars fishing generates for just a small area.

I love um, still have the three baby cardinals from last year hanging around with no fear at all, occasionally they come sit under the porch when im there but nothing like my little buddy. Its amazing how some animals just take to house and know they are safe around the people at it.

Hey Marty I got a Robin that follows me around the yard when im in it even mowing he is 10 ft behind me at all times. Jammi keeps looking at me going NOT THE MOMMA..... She thinks its hilarious.

Nothing beats fresh from your own garden and its very addictive and fun. Ours is starting to really pop and produce right now. Peppers are about a week out on the Jalapenos, Anaheim's, Bananas, Sweet, and Cayenne. The Bells are about 2 weeks out. Carrots about a week maybe 2. Green beans we picked some tonight and they were great with the steak and taters. The tomatoes are probably 3 weeks at most on the Goliath and Beafsteak the cherries are maybe a week and a half. I really want the Jalapeños to hurry up I got Crappie, Goose and Duck that need to be made in to poppers, yes I said crappie I tried it last year and it was like heaven in your mouth. Here are a few of my garden today
