  1. If you would stop eating burritos before you go the stink wouldn't be so bad
  2. Reports of damage on the 76 strip in Branson also. Not sure on amount if it goes CAT Storm I should know pretty soon.
  3. No those bust were spot on, Typically you would see two state troopers and a couple K9 trucks parked just south of Westfork off ramp facing north bound lanes and one or two more units on the westfork onramp. Then you would here about the bust. I have seen people blow past them and they wouldn't budge so certainly they had to be waiting for someone. If they are running drug interdiction im all for it and more power to them.
  4. I warned you playing with the camera will cost fishing time lol... Hate to say it but I love seeing the bottom im fishing and going HMMMMM That isn't showing on the graph it really opens your eyes to what is under the surface. Just wait till you get an overly rambunctious smallie who thinks the cam is a craw.
  5. Ham, have all potential suitors for Chloe prove there worth by signing a contract stating that they will forever mow your yard with a mower they must purchase and that all yards must be maintained to the PGA standards.
  6. 3wt for the first and second troughs throwing out a shrimp or crap imitation was always fun for me, Flounder, Whitefish and Pompano this time of year on the Atlantic. If Jacks, Tarpon and Redfish are possible target then an 8wt with a Cloz or a Shrimp imitation work. If you are going with a spinner or baitcaster you will want to rig up a "fish finder rig" and try and hit the 3rd trough if one is there or find the channels by watching and reading the water. As for Marco Island I only have two words ( Back Country ) God on the 8th day said let there be the back country for anglers to appreciate me and spend time with me, let it be plentiful in bounty and bring peace to all's hearts. It is one of the few things I miss about Florida
  7. Dam now im curious to what up with all this. I get construction zones I really get the BVPD hanging out west but that's a lot of enforcement. Sure don't see it during BBBQ
  8. Na Quill I can tell you where the trooper sits lol he is rather predictable. I cant tell you the last time I saw multiple troopers in BV and I drive it daily. Now the BVPD them I see all the time. Sure seems to me though that the first week and last week of a month I see them all over 71. rest of the month Kingsland and Trafalgar are popular.. OH and the newest place I have been seeing them is right Shildon and Lancashire typically on Fridays hmmm wonder why lol
  9. If anyplace needs PD attention it is the light at State Line. I have seen way to many bad wrecks there.
  10. Beginning of the month BV Needs money lol If I had to guess where it would be one by BC40 and two near Sonic.
  11. Everything I saw started at Johnson on/off ramp and ended at New Hope which is in the construction zone. Southbound would probably be catching Shareholders as they have the big concert tonight at the Bud. Im waiting to see how they act once the AMP gets going with concerts.
  12. Shareholders is in full swing. I was in the same area today and they are cracking down hard because of idiots going through the construction zone. There has been more than a few close calls this week alone. It is a 60 ZONE NOT a 80 zone and swerving in and out will get ya the ticket.
  13. Na.... Hook Line and Sinker always has or tries to keep up on the best baits, you just have to beat a few people there to get them Stripers: its simple bait wise; Live Shad is first then Perch followed by Flicker shad in #7 pearl white would be the only three baits you really need though for good consistency. Crappie: Bobby Garland baby shad or shad swim-R followed by flicker shad in #5 #6 will put them in the boat and easy on the wallet Walleye: Flicker shad from #5 to #7 Keitech swing impact and a crawler harness set-up. Those few baits will produce all year. But for reports this is where I trust for info and seeing more and more people posting is great, those midweek reports will make it easy for the weekend crowd and vise versa. But hey like you said the noise keeps others away from the bite.
  14. AGFC gets its Public Information from the Obama Administration is my take on it. I have wrote here a few times how unreliable the reports are as are some of the more private reports.... Lets just say when I see a report that say the Stripers are HOT in Prairie Creek, Ventris and Deer Island and then I see the guides all Launching at Rocky Branch and then the same day get text and phone calls and first hand reports from anglers I trust that say they are at Coppermine and I also see them on the Old Road bed at Rocky Branch that I tend to NEVER again believe the report. If I didn't want crowds on the fish and I was a professional guide making money and needing to get my clients on fish without a hassle I might be inclined to give false information, You know the old saying Buyer beware... well Fishermen beware of reports as well from people that may well have financial motives to be less than truthful. Nice thing about this site though is you can go back and look at the reports for a very long time and get a pretty dam good idea where they should be. I am trying to make it a little easier but its taking time. Soon there will be a sticky at the top of this page that will have all the reports I can find with good info since the start of the forum so you can easily look up where and when and whats biting.
  15. 5th on Dana's If you are set on meeting Walter,,, Bull would be the lake to hit or driving up to the white river area. Mike Worley would be my first choice for Bull and the walleye. if you want Bass on TR Bill Babler is said to find a fish now and then If you have time don't overlook taney for the trout. So much water so many fish so little time.
  16. Come to the Dark side and go West Young man the west end of the lake that is .
  17. That end of the lake has always been hard for me to get in crappie. they seem to be more prolific from about Rocky Branch to Hickory Creek. I really only hit the Dam end of the lake in summer if i am looking for stripers and at that it needs to be very early or late in the day to avoid the crowds.
  18. You have earned those fish, I know you worked hard to get them, now is time to enjoy that fine table fair.
  19. Start at Coppermine and work toward point 4 they are scattered this time of year and you will have to keep moving in search of feeding fish and they may not be surface feeding.
  20. I run for the nearest doc or ramp. But with technology what it is keeping an eye on the cell phone will give you enough warning to get to shelter before it hits now.
  21. roger that
  22. No you wont win because the fish are to busy admiring the art work you call lures to bite them lol. wait that's not funny its the truth.
  23. Joe this is how bad it was... the place you, me, my brother and Doc were fishing last weekend by the rock. Had one come in cut between me and the shore and start pitching the area. There was NO call for that, HE-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS, that is not a big enough areas for someone to do that.
  24. Absolutely Quill, the size and quality are very impressive big shoulders on them big guts. I have caught fish from 8'' to 27'' this year so I do not see any reason the fishery wont keep getting better and better each year. The small ones look just as healthy and fat as the larger ones. The surface action yesterday was awesome I wish I knew earlier it was walleye and not bass, The only way to describe it was like a tuna surface attack grey hounding massive hit, not a slurp like I thought they might do but very aggressive. If that one is indicative of how they attack surface baits I will be smiling for years to come.
