Ok call me a legal eagle here but I just read what Champ Posted. Interesting law but Here is the problem with it. TABLEROCK LAKE is in Missouri and NOT Arkansas. YET on Page 3 Section ( it says enforcement will be by Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. I just showed it to a lawyer buddy who said It would be very interesting to see AGFC enforce a law in Missouri let alone respond to a call about enforcement to a place they have not jurisdictional right or duty. And in court if not written by AGFC or ACE as prescribed in this document it would be thrown out on a legal technicality. Someone obviously did not read this memorandum very well or who would enforce it.

Love my Aqua-vu. strengthen the fin case for the cam with crazy glue. Pretty easy to use drop it in and see what is there. Only draw back it you spend less time fishing the first month and more time looking at the, I spent a lot of time going to all my previous GPS marks and investigating them, now when I mark something I drop down the camera see what it is and any other info I can. Lots of fun also great for looking under stumps and ledges. BEWARE if you start using it to look under ledges and stumps strengthen the drop line to 250lb cable or a flathead will try to remove it.

I knew it was you, thought about trying to flash you to stop but in the conditions I thought it was way to dangerous and just not worth it there will be plenty of good days to meet up.

Fishing Etiquette

LMAO Mitch im not near his age but was taught by some of the nastiest Pier Rats and Party Boat skippers how to get even.... I have heard a lot of eveil employed a bobber at the end of 10lb braid the first 10 feet had 4/0 treble hooks every 6 inches, then freespooled in the offenders Prop. Try clearing that out without getting hurt. Getting the tag number and loosening all the nuts on a motor and seen more than my share of 8oz torpedo sinkers flung from a pier at a boater. There are some folks you just do not want to mess with in this world. I have calmed down a lot and now try the civil approach first but make no mistake I was taught well and taught not to get caught -
15? You got ripped off I think WON was like 40 or 50 lol... Man I should order that mag again keep up on west coast tactics.

Fishing Etiquette
Feathers and Fins replied to MeatintheFreezer's topic in General Angling Discussion
OTF, I have no doubt some of it is the "Park Mentality" but as I said in a recent post about the bird hunting I am seeing a lot of people moving in to the area from other parts of the country who have lived in the cities all their lives and bring with them the "me mentality and mine mentality" They move out here to get away from it junk in the cities but all they are doing is brining it with them in their way of doing things and their mentality / attitude. I said I would report him and would, if we do not take the time to put an end to it we will let these people bring that mentality and attitude here and I for one don't want it. tournament officials wont tolerate it, I have asked because of having issues on while fishing and their words were " we will DQ the person the first time second report they are out end of story" ( that was the pg version ). As to the others it is a case by case base how I will react. It will soon be the season when we all start complaining about it and wondering where the law enforcement is nothing new. -

A tournament angler does it to me im reporting him to the officials, most tournaments have rules about respect or courtesy. As to the main question it is getting worse out there kind of surprised to hear about it this time of year though but who knows anymore. -
Great day for getting all the fishing rigs tied up, dangerous day to be on the lakes.

I guess the weeklys are bigger out west than here. I use to get bugged by a few of the field reporters to take them duck hunting and when I showed them what I was doing they said " I cant report this no one would believe me " I was using a big spread of coots and canvasbacks. I still laugh about it but have kept in contact with a few of them who still use my spread and still wont report it. It would be a daunting task out here to keep up with the major lakes alone then tack on hunting possibilities it wouldn't be a small weekly mag for sure. Might even cause some family arguments over need for a new bathroom added because the Man of the House wont come out of his for 3 days lol.

I wish we had a good weekly magazine that covered hunting and fishing out here I use to love getting my Western Outdoor News every week. best dam magazine published IMO.

Probably be as much fin as a Sailfish or Tarpon out of one both a heck of a lot of fun.

LMAO, Wayne they might but I am seeing a developing problem lately, been thinking of a topic on it but this thread is perfect. I am seeing more and more new home owners on the lakes and they think the Birds and Deer are their personal pets and property. I had one yell at me a few weeks back for shooting some I just ignored him as I was legal and didn't feel like arguing that day when the dumb birds only flew a few hundred feet so the option of popping the last bird was there if I didn't play with the numb nuts home owner. I Know we have a few members here trying to work the angle with the press and that would be great but I really think ACE and the state DNR needs to step up and at bare minimum send out a letter to lake residents and let them know the laws. I have one spot on Beaver the residents call when the geese are there and I go shoot them. They had a new person move in who through a fit about it to bad for him he lived across the street and couldn't do much the residents apparently handled it with him ok I know they did and what they did to say it nice he had more goose poop in his yard and driveway and car then I have ever seen and this year not one word has been said lol. I think a lot of "Danger Zone" is coming from Yankies and lord I hate to say it but Californians moving here who have never lived in the country a day in their lives. I know of a couple who complained about people shooting deer even and how it shouldn't be allowed.

Arnt you suppose to be the Guiding light for Champ lol.

Interesting, never seen HLS listed in AGFC reports I can remember. Maybe the Paper but I don't read that. Week Old is nothing new the best weekly magazine I know of was always a week behind but at least gave you very decent chances with information available. A lot more reliable than what the AGFC report gives.

Here is something to ponder, You have this Magical spot do your really think with the technology today with maps, gps, and so many forums people wont find it? I just wrote about bass fishing on Beaver lake and how I watched the "Meat" fishermen, I used Binoculars to do it, one of the oldest time proven and tested methods of seeing how and where people are catching fish. Do you really think there is a "Secret Spot on any lake" Now in the Ocean yes I would never reveal my GPS numbers in a million years! In fact I wouldn't allow people to bring phones that had GPS on them and actually checked to be sure they had no GPS devise on them and so dis and do many charter boats, those numbers are sacred. But on a man made impoundment no matter how big it is it wont take a angler who really wants to know whats happening long to find out and you may never know he is doing it. No secret spots. Patterns are the key and that includes depth, structure, forage and all things being equal it can be repeated on similar area around the lake. Truth is as I said though before " An Angler is his own worse enemy getting in Habits he wont break"
-
As many times as I have gave spots it amazes me still how people will be there try them and then leave because they didn't catch something fast enough or are so set in "their" spot they wont give a new one a chance long enough for it to pay off or they are unwilling to fish it how I told them to. No sweat off my back but funny to hear them say we didn't catch anything there and I was fishing it the same time saw them and had another great trip. You can lead a fisherman to water but you cant make them get out of their own habits! I sometimes think fishermen are their own worse enemy.

I've never met a goose who I didn't invite to dinner.

Took me an hour and half to get to HI today followed out a certain OAF member with a white truck till he turned to head to Seligman area and I kept going to HI. Roads were nasty. Tough morning but when the wind kicked in this afternoon I picked off some short walleye a few whites and some nice green bass. They were hugging the bottom from 30 to 20 fow. Still a great day to cure cabin fever
-
Not me, Ive heard about them but have had bad taste in my mouth from clubs in the past so I stay out of them now.
-
I prefer the Doors ( the end ) to play very loud after a good day lol. Wayne its one of the residents and they are giants as well. Ive seen more 14 to 16 pounders this year then in a long time but for the life of me I cant find the little ones this year and its annoying I love shooting squeakers.

REAL NICE BOYS, I gotta ask who been feeding that goose steroids one of the bigger ones ive seen this season

Not a matter of not liking. Bailey is actually one I recommend to people. Its the BS that AGFC does with the reports or should I say lack of realistic report. They would do better contacting The Dam Store, Hook Line and Sinker and Southtown and get reports from people who hear from anglers each day. I really don't feel a guide is going to be the most "accurate" source to help people as they sure the heck don't want people near "their clients" fish. I have seen Bailey at work and he gets fish and I have yet to hear a bad report from his clients and that say to me he is a good guide. However telling people stripers are in Indian Creek when they are in PC Area is a bit misleading, sure there might be some there but when I see your boat in PC and watch you fishing around PC just be strait forward and tell people. I know I have pissed a few guides off but oh well I will be very detailed because I want people to catch fish and to me someone who would send people on wild goose chases that may only have a Saturday plus the cost is not cool.
