  1. LOL. I think #9 flickers are pretty big... I swear I love catching any fish but it was getting comical. Found some legals finally. PM me and I will tell you where they are hiding.
  2. Actually I read it and saw littlereds comments regarding others comments in regards to people keeping the fish. No intent to piss anyone off. If I wanted to do that I could have very easily! My intention was to try and convey that others opinions do not matter so long as it is legal to do so. The elitist attitude as I told Chief is something most of have seen in the past and even on this site IE they are better than others because they release the fish and everyone else should do as they say. I also messed around with Mitch when I FIFYed his post. But pissing people off seems to be your intent or why would you say Seriously throwing racist comments out. Hard to take anything seriously from you after that.
  3. Army Corps, needs to start yanking docs off the lakes of people who Harass fishermen in pursuit of their quarry! If the Doc owner wants to break the law then remove the thing causing the problem
  4. No I did not say you are one and you know it. but keep coming to threads trying to stir the pot now that I would definitely say is a true assessment. You dam well Know I'm talking about people in general who condemn others for keeping fish, I would guess most of us have ran into them! That is also how it is relevant to any conversation, River, Creek, Pond or Lake! We here it!! Never said California should be setting any standard did I? I said That is purely referring to taste and my preference. I fish to EAT some and THAT is anyone's right, to keep what they want to eat its legal and its not for anyone to say anything about so long as its done legally and the fish is not wasted.
  5. Lake is only 2.91 ft low currently... more rain in the 10 day forecast...Lake is not ( that low )... I have been on the lake every weekend and many weekdays since 9-1-12 and have yet to pull one bass off a bed ( I have been looking somewhat ). My guess is they are 3 to 4 weeks from spawning. Not sure this is needed but that's just my 2 pennies.
  6. Littlered, you should not feel upset for people elitist-self-righteous attitudes. I myself seldom keep a bass in the Ozarks simply because I don’t prefer them. I have never met a striper, walleye or crappie I won’t invite to dinner. Ever since “tournaments” started putting the C&R mentality in people heads if you keep a bass you are the spawn of the devil. Now if I was back in Cali I would be keeping bass all day long different flavor. I use to get a kick out of showing people pictures of 6 to 10lb LMB I kept and ate just to make them mad because “they” think they should be released. Guess what! No one is breaking any law keeping a legal fish and should be their choice to keep it not what pressure from others says! I also find it hilarious the ones screaming loudest about C&R are the same ones who go out in a tournament and yank females off spawn beds and don’t think nothing about the 500 bluegill that fly in to eat the freebies now unprotected. Who causes more harm; the guy who keeps a few for dinner or the guy who just killed hundreds of thousands by pulling the protector off the nest? Who is the bigger hypocrite? People need to not throw stones in a glass house!
  7. Only thing I see as a possible issue is I have entered many long cast competitions over the years and seen many rods broke. If you must use a rod provided by a "Store" and you break it, you buy it! This lead to a lot of bad press and feelings. Most competitions quickly learned to allow anglers to use their own rods or if they supplied one understood broken rods were their responsibility not the anglers. Something should be done to and said about this, I understand from the past the sponsor wanted to try and maintain an appearance of everything is equal but it is impossible in casting contest. Best to let people use their own tackle incase of breakages. JMHO for experience.
  8. 58 to 62 as Beaver shores and around the fish hatchery, I saw several of the tourney guys blow past the hatchery this afternoon coming from up river. Lots of whites around the hatchery some walters and very nice bass in the backs of pockets surprised none of the tourney guys were there.
  9. Not surprised, doubt any of us who cuss her errr fish her are. She can change her mind in minutes and unless you are willing to change as fast you will not catch fish. If there was a book on how to understand women Beaver Lake would be in it as well lol
  10. Doc even better than DVD http://www.spanishflytv.com/theater/bonefish-seasonal-habitat-changes/ You will really enjoy that. Not sure on Video's but betting there is some out there, and if not certainly in the works for a benefit I would bet for kids he was very big on kids and especially terminally ill kids.
  11. Yes Bill, Jose Wejebe is whom i speak of. great guy and I swear fish just bit his hook to come say hello.
  12. Well been looking online for an environmental impact study or permit for this project and haven't come up with anything. Normally you can find at least something, from a Plan to a Study.
  13. I have had a couple run-ins with Roland and he is less that impressive. Bill Dance on the other hand is one heck of a good guy who reminds me of a kid in a candy store, But none beat Jose his show didn't do him justice but did give a glimpse of what he was, magnify his show 100% and you start understanding how much he loved people and the outdoors.
  14. Justin, was he right for doing it? NO. I hate nothing more than someone that does this, might as well be a thief in my book! True it might be a public spot but seeing a guy catch one then poach his spot is as low as they come. That said its the way times have gotten, and when its done to me im not the guy that doesn't say something People need to be told they are wrong.
  15. Looks like a strip to me. anyway you look at it though looks like a good day
  16. San Juan Worms or anything berry patterns work well.
  17. THERE IS NO LEGAL SIZE FISH IN BEAVER LAKE..... I am sure of that lol
  18. Pattern was no problem for me... 10 to 12 fow and they were balled up like shad from 10 up to 6. actually pretty funny seeing them on the sonar and then dropping the bait just above them and seeing several rise right up to the bait. I'm opportunistic when it comes to fish I catch what's biting and never met a fish I didn't like ( check that ) I hate Cabazon Fishing dam things are expensive lol
  19. GPS Coordinates or it didn't happen
  20. Police to patrol 12 bridge and Is the one place I see them writing tickets... Hey just be glad we don't have Manatee's here... AND BEFORE Justin says a word one I am admitting nothing in regards to them... But hear they taste great with mashed taters
  21. Water is a like a Demolition Derby to people! I see people everyday that do not even know their is rules to boating they just get in and do what they want because there are no lines to stay in. I have been waked so many times its pathetic. Seen people cutting over very shallow bars and rip out their lower unit even though its clearly marked. Most dangerous conditions can be avoided by slowing down and giving others respect as well as NOT DRINKING! Its like on Beaver after a heavy rain, why do people run wide open early morning before light or wide open at night. You known the rain washes things out yet people still do it and then hit the debris. Makes no since to me at all. Is a Fish really worth your life?
  22. I need something lol. Its nice to see that many crappie though. Also found tons of carp and think the flypole will be put to good use next weekend! Nothing big 5 to 15 pnds most put they are a blast to catch.
  23. Anyone got one for sale... over 100 crappie in the last two days and not a single keeper. all right about 1/4 to 1/2 short.
  24. To cold up here for them as a rule, Swepco possibly could keep them alive. I have seen 2 in Ft Smith that were only 4 to 5 ft.
