Singles were probably shad flipping, you will see it alot this time of year. Most of them are running 4 to 6 inches long could have been a mixed ball of Gizzard and Threadfin.

We had geese attempt a bombing run on the boat but anti-aircraft #6 flack burst saved us lol... btw stripers located and depth charged.

Seen bass and stripers take gosslings, Shark week years back had Tiger sharks who thought gulls were good food as well.

You need to build some sides into them as well, Let me help. Fronts need to be 4' high as do the sides tapering to 0' Putting bush behind them and only 3' of rock will help hide them nicely. Im sure Bill is licking his chops seeing new structure lol.

I think without any good storms she will go another 3 feet, Pc as said before is getting sketchy, 12 bridge is still in decent shape for launching but another foot and you will have to around the islands to get under the bridge, Rocky Branch your already putting your trailer in sand to launch so without 4x4 dont try if the lake falls another 2 feet ( back cove ramp ) front ramp is still fine. Always be careful launching at the dam for rocks people let their kids throw on it. There are many dangers on the lake right now from rocks that are not visable but will do damage and timber. Its a good time to get out with GPS and mark structure and more importantly take pictures!!!!

I get those nasty pictures as well and throw in some White and Fels pics as well, looks like a lot of brown a little green a ton of whitey and the boys further south keep sending me RED pictures which i want to kick them in the nutts for. I love my Cans and Redheads I swear my camera shoots them more than my gun just something about those two in flight that makes me want to take pictures. Im sitting at Frog Bayou right now and havent seen jack flying for over an hour, granted im just at the parking lot waiting to go to a job and not hunting but from what ive seen and heard not much hunting going on anyway well shooting anyway

I doubt they changed much, Ive been waterfowling 37 years and major fronts that have no "weather" with it aka snow doesnt do much to push the birds, it takes snow cover to really push them out of an area. I use to get excited about big fronts like this one until i figured out is the food source is still there the birds will not leave. Ag practices North have changed to grain crops and even though it was a bad year from what everyone is saying there is plenty of food up north from what friends say and what hunters are reporting in fields. Im sure less hearty ducks moved on this front but the Mallards and Geese probably stayed. Heck there are still guys shooting teal in Nebraska.

Im right there with you man, when im working im cold and miserable but put me on the lake with a gun in my hand and decoys in front im warm and happy. The one good thing about this front is it finally put me in the Christmas spirit. Ive got 10 days off and going down to the farm for 5 of them or more and a few in Dewitt so im pretty sure i will be killing stuff. Truth is I really like hunting the Big Water and small creeks around here more than the rice fields and flooded timber. Maybe its the challenge or the scenry of these beautiful Ozarks but I just enjoy them more.

Ditto got the report in for Beaver the boys ran from the dam to blue springs today and reported a few Mergies, a few Goldeneye the resident Mallards where were they belonged and 4 stupid geese were where i said they would be for the taking. They did go check out Looney Tooney in PC and they now are hooked on his anticks, they said they watched him for about 30 minutes chasing shad right under the boat even. I think he is becoming a celeb.

Chris you dam optomist you are making me think about freezing my rear end off. But i wasnt born yesterday ill wait till i get scouting reports in tonight I got a couple friends who were braver than me.. ok they had the day off i didnt.
