  1. This morning the Facebook was buzzing, My buddies in Lousianer and myself were texting longer than shooting it seems. So far the count is 108 teal 12 honkers down all in less than 30 minute. Then I look a little further down on the FB page and notice our own DUCKY appears to be in on the act up in AK...He posted bird porn as well. Man its looking like a great season in the works... Now time for some breakfast with my loving wife and grab the bow to go see about Bambi this afternoon. Life is good and blessed.
  2. Thank you. Got out this morning and saw Widgeon, teal, Gaddies, Pinnies, ringers and blue bill ( not counting mallards they may be locals ) Looks like this front brought a bunch more down. Now my only worry is they its still 2 months till AR opens and they might move on down south... Oh what am i worried about i got Delta Rice fields lol
  3. Go to bentonville gis and get the property info. might help.
  4. Honestly, Ive spent a lot of time learning where each flock is and how the behave as well as where they like to feed, roost and flight path. Take Beaver Shores flock opening weekend you can spot n stock them but now they leave at first light and go to the fields in Lowell for the day returning at night. Indian Creek flock you might catch them once in a great while where you can shoot them but the odds are they will be in Lost Bridge North ramp and never come out. Other flocks each act diffrent and knowing them is the key to getting them. You can run and gun the lake and you might get lucky but knowing each flock will take the luck out of it. As to the boat. The one in my pictures is my boat and never been camo'ed, I might throw netting on it or around it durring regular duck but normally just park it down the shore from where im hunting. No diffrent than any other hunting, put in the time scouting and you will normally be rewarded, dont and you may get lucky every so often.
  5. Gun and Bow restrictions Hunters lawfully present through ownership or lease agreement may hunt on their own property, regardless of distance to another person's residence. However, all other hunters using firearms within 150 yards of a residence or using archery equipment within 50 yards of a residence must have written permission from the owner or occupant of that residence. It is illegal to shoot across or within 100 feet of the centerline of any city, county, state or federally maintained road.

  7. Jd, I had a cottonmouth I collected in 2005 that was approx 22'' long, I never breed it and in 2007 she dropped 6 babies. I had no clue of her age and only kept her because she was extremly blond in coloration and hoped one day to breed her to a male if icould find one that light, the only conclusion was she had been breed at one time and retained the sperm. All the neo's were very dark and last pictures I saw of one that a friend got showed it still very dark. I have never seen and to my knowledge dont know of it occurring in egg laying species of snakes. wish it would have i lost many coral snakes in breeding when one ate the other.
  8. Its happened before, Also speculation of sperm retention from mating years prior to the births. All from live bearing species.
  9. Some of my best hunts on Beaver both early and regular season is afternoon hunts ON WEEKENDS! You play the boat traffic, weekdays forget it but on weekends if you have good boat traffic it will stir the birds all day and give you a chance all day.
  10. Never been to the Bentonville Location, I buy it at Southtown or BPS. You wont be unhappy with it.
  11. Same here Marty, I went scouting Thursday and there was nothing. We actually watched migration flights come in today. Im hoping for a very fast shoot tomorrow morning as I somehow just ran out of teal myself lol. I dont think there is a better eating duck then September Teal.
  12. sweeeet, looks like you have some great fixens for tonight.
  13. Marty I think we are in for a treat this year, I saw Pintail and Spoonies and tons of grebes and even a bald eagle. crossing my fingers but seeing migration birds already
  14. I wont start throwing it till the shad get in the back of the creeks and in lage surface balls so probably not until Mid to Late October.
  15. Saw really good numbers of the little buzz bombers most ive seen in at least 8 years My bro and I managed 6 teal and 6 geese, we didnt set up for teal as neither of us thought they would be here yet. That mistake wont be made tomorrow. Our traditional blind had close to 500 sitting right in front of where it is. So tomorrow the teal get shot. Did see more hunters on the lake today and far less boat traffic.
  16. I think it will be overturned on appeal. He appears to have been convicted by a law that was purely designed to convict him and a good attourney could easily argue he was denied a fair trial by politicians creating a law designed to convict him.
  17. Hog if your looking for hunting clothes, I highly suggest http://www.stormkloth2.com/contactamy.html best I have ever use and a local company. I wear mine early season to late season and the stuff works as advertised. You wont be unhappy. What i really was suprised by is even as light as it is in 17degrees with a 20mph wind all i had to wear was a good pair of thermals jeans and long sleeve shirt and the stormkloth pants and jacket and i was toasty. Never had such light gear work so nice in weather like that before. I know i sound like a commercial but when i find something that works im going to pass it on
  18. JD, I was in Joplin this afternoon when they came through. Ive been through just about everything you can imagine as far as natural disaster. I have never been so unsettled as I was today by the sound of Sirens going off. It was very creepy and the hair on my neck was standing up.
  19. Jeb, I cannot tell you how much I have spent there but never had a bad experiance with them and have had a couple orders that had something missing. I called and it was sent to me no charge. Been to the shop a few times it sure aint beautyfied but if you like hunting its the go to store. Fishing selection aint to bad but they really make a sportman feel like you are in a candy store.
  20. Well no need to beg me to hunt more that goes without saying. But ya you need to pick up hunting you will have a BLAST.
  21. http://rogerssportinggoods.com/ and im sorry in advance, thier prices and customer service cause me to spend way to much money and others find it out as well
  22. your welcome,,,
  23. Thanks Bass, If your looking for stripers try from point 4 to Rocky Branch, they are there but scattered because of the boat traffic on them. Some nice marks though
  24. how bout more realistic. 1. Generation at 3pm. = We blowin da horn at 2pm you best move your behind. 2. Flood Gates open. = we shoulda paid attention when da weather person said it was going to be flooding rains.
