  9. tim, i hope this isn't to dumb of a question.i'm wanting to tie up some flies.for the adams, blue wing olives and caddis is it just standard colors?

  12. this is an older garmin gps/mapping/fishfinder.it came with a boat i bought.i intended to reuse it and never did.i have everything originally with it except the transducer.the last time i checked they were still available.if somebody can use this just trade me something fishing related you're not using.it doesn't have to be much, even flies or lures.if not, then just pay the shipping and it's yours. unit is traded
  13. just what i was looking for!that's actually similar to the ruby "midge" i've been using....which was suggested the last time i asked.i found a lot of good ideas on that search. once again you've been a big help.

  15. i'm fishing one of the stocked trout ponds near kc.i've seen black caddis and mayflies flying around.i've had some luck with adams, woolly buggers and midges.any suggestions for nymph patterns? time is running out......

  17. thanks for the report.wish i could get there!
  18. wieght range?price range?
  19. i just bought a sot kayak.the inflateables look great for flyfishing but i was worried about manuevering them on the niangia.around downed trees in the current, for example.i figure i'll probably beach the yak and wade alot.i got one of the cheap ones aimed at beginners that's extra wide.
  20. i m thinking the same way about gas.i haven't even pulled the bassboat out of the barn.i'm usually hitting truman or other big lakes by now.i've been wading, and i just bought a kayak.
  21. at least now i know why those trout follow me around at bennett.......it never ocurred to me to try and catch them, but i did try to pet them.
  22. thank you.great explanation.i've really enjoyed this post.and it has made me realize i've learned alot about flies, not so much about how to use them.
  23. hope you don't mind me asking...do you use an indicator with the midges or just let them drift?
  24. every few casts i knock the ice out of the close eyes and dip the rest of the rod in the water.it's better than not going........ my eight wieght does better in adverse conditions, cold, wind, etc.i guess the bigger fly line is easier to work with. catch anything?
