  1. I had a neighbor once that had rabbits as big as a beagle. They weren't Snowshoe hares. They also had a pair of Charpay (sp?) dogs, the ones with the cool wrinkly faces. Those rabbits would put a thumpin' on those dogs when they got out of line. 😂
  2. I've been out in some pretty heavy storms, several that I couldn't even fish through, and everything except my feet stayed dry.
  3. Something "sticking" I could believe IF I accelerated and then the throttle didn't return to idle...... But this MF'er goes from idle to 3500RPM all on its own. Both times it was as soon as I shifted into gear (foot obviously on the brake, because it won't shift until the brake is depressed). The first time it happened I had shifted into Reverse (foot on brake) and it revved out of control. threw it into Neutral, and I shut the key off. Restarted and all was well again. The second time it did it, I backed out of a parking spot (at idle, no acceleration at all), shifted into DRIVE and it immediately accelerated like crazy. I power-braked to a stop, and before I could grab the key it reduced itself to an idle. Drove fine the rest of the day....and has since. No unstable idle or any other symptoms. I wish you lived closer!
  4. I've had a Cabela's "Guide Wear" set (bibs and hooded jacket) for almost 10 years. No complaints at all. Even keeps my butt dry when sitting in puddles.
  5. So by all of this, I'm left to suspect that if you order a SNOWSHOE hare foot......and actually GET ONE...... Then (and only then) are you LUCKY 👍 Just to be 100% sure, I tested the hair/fur between the toes, just to verify that it wasn't any different than the hair on the bottom of the foot. Same results. So for my purposes, the original Calf Tail appears to be the best option. Better even than all the crinkly synthetic fibers that I've tried so far. It gets wet, but after one false cast it's dry again, and holds its position on the hook. Everything else gets damp and permanently droops over to one side. CDC is another joke, but we won't go into that .....🙄
  6. Those left feet weren't very lucky for the hare. I've cleaned alot of rabbits in my day, and I'll bet'cha good money that if I threw these into a bucket of common rabbit feet..... nobody could tell me which set were from a "Snowshoe hare". There ain't a lick of difference, and a pinch of hair off of these magical "snowshoe hare" feet soaks up water just like a pinch of dryer lint does. Therefore, I hereby deem the magical snowshoe hare foot claim a myth.....a giant crock of BS. The reason why they don't get soaked while scampering over SNOW and ICE when they're still on the leporidae.....is because it's -14° below zero. Duh! 🙄 Jesus Christ, fly tyers will fall for anything.
  7. Too late. Madison claimed it. Sorry 🤷‍♂️
  8. Welp, it didn't work. Anybody want a yellow rabbit foot? 🙄
  9. Interesting series of folds on that letter. 🤔
  10. Ya mean, like after the statute of limitations has expired ? 🙄
  11. I'm sorry if you had the impression that we were, or have ever been. In '06 I came to the realization that the county I live in is so corrupt it's sickening. I started looking closer at the state level and realized it was even worse there. Nationally? Well, the degree, no doubt, escalates even more. One person.....a genuine oath follower, could begin to turn it all back around. But that person doesn't exist because of fear for his, and his families, life. In the media's defense, several try to push issues......But everyone just gets tired of hearing about those things, and their ratings plummet. Nobody TRULY cares enough.
  12. This belongs here....
  13. Y'all had better learn to get along with your neighbors. There might come a time......
  14. Yo, I need zero convincing of the craftiness that you're capable of in your shop. 👍 But the craftiness of an incestuous line of crosseyed native Americans, working with sinew and sharp rocks across his calloused knees....... I mean GTFOH ! 😂
  15. Oh I know. I have an acquaintance that can't take 3 steps without finding something that was formed by ancient man. Don't try to argue with him either, cause you'll lose. He knows rocks and can immediately prove to you that there's no way THAT rock got HERE on its own, and definitely not in the SHAPE that it is. "Don't you see those strike marks, and the discoloration from being tempered in a fire?". His nickname is Heavy Pockets.
  16. I delegated Sugarbritches, and put her on the case. She's picking up a hair dye kit when she goes shopping tomorrow. I can't be trusted with dying materials after my last attempt to make a whole rabbit hide bright pink. Ruined my clothes and about 5 dish towels, stained the Formica countertop. Ended up with a bright pink hide that had very pale pinkish-white fur. 🙄
  17. Maybe the ones I see aren't actual "Spruce Moths"..... That's just what I call them. They are bluish gray, and gather in pods over gravel bars. Somehow I learned that they were called spruce moths....and it just stuck.
  18. Maybe that is why they have over 100,000 members PETA has over 100k members too. The Westboro Baptist church might also. BLM ? Sons of Anarchy ? KKK ? Watermark Wakeboat forum ? (You should see what those guys think of us fishermen) I'm failing to understand the point. 😅
  19. I see those, in batches, on the gravel bars of every stream I fish. Never once have I seen one on the water. Are they different out west?
  20. Spruce moth. I've read about that. Is that a real thing?
  21. I don't buy into that BS. I have Frogs Fanny. That stuff will float an engine block.
  22. If it doesn't work out, consider them yours. It's not so much about what the fish see, since the wing is mostly obscured from their vision. It's about ME being able to see if the fly is floating the way I want it to when 45'+ away. Calftail is great.....until you get to size#16 and smaller.
  23. So......Can a person dye these pure WHITE ? Because this is as light as they come. I wanna use them as a calftail substitute on my smaller (#16-20) Dalmatian Trudes......but they gotta be WHITE (or so I think)
  24. 🤣🤣🤣
  25. Me? What about THEM ? 😂 I used to shoot bare shafts through paper to set my rest.....But that was with perfectly straight shafts and aligned nocks. Try that crap with a cedar limb.....and you're just asking for it. 😳
