  1. Tab, pin, whatever is fine as long as it keeps the nut from backing off. I was just thinking the ones for smaller motors had a pin. I know the older ones did. I'd prefer a stainless pin to a tab washer anyday just because you can get a replacement anywhere vs. the washer with a part#.
  2. OK thanks. I know his mom just recently passed on, so this is gonna hit his family extra hard.
  3. Water in fuel should give you a warning beep on that engine. No sense in guessing, if you are still in the LO area and want me to diagnose it gimme a call. 573-569-5406
  4. Wow, this is terrible. I met Jim once briefly, he was one I figured I'd eventually get to fish with. What happened?
  5. Jerry called it. I only caught a few shorts pitching black worms and lizards, and a few dinks on a buzzbait. The better ones were all over that big Spinnerbait.
  6. I typically do not fish mainlake stuff so current or amount of generation is not something I care about. All I care about is whether the level is coming up or going down. Trying to pattern fish via current on this lake is futile unless it is noticeable to me IMO. There are times when you can throw a jig/worm on one side of a dock and before it hits bottom it is almost to the other side. Times like THAT then yeah the current is a factor. Otherwise....nah.
  7. There shouldn't be any slop in the impeller/shaft connection. I'd inspect the key for sure. Don't tighten it down crazy but yeah it needs to be good and snug and a fresh cotter pin installed. There are shims front and back of the impeller, move/swap them to achieve the proper clearance between impeller and liner.
  8. The logjam pic is about 2mi. up the LN before Prairie cr.
  9. Play to your strengths and when/where you prefer to fish. I am basically a shallow water guy so most of my efforts are done in the back half of the bigger creek arms. Try to pick areas that would be good even if no brush was present. If you fish mostly during Summer then secondary points and near the mouths of coves are where you wanna place them. Try to add to areas that already have some brush where you've caught keepers. It's trial and error, ya never know.
  10. He said the BACKS, not the mouths. Here's a pick from the mouth of LN today.
  11. Conspiracy theorists. Pfffft.
  12. Did you get to give cat skinning lessons or do they already got that down?
  13. You SINK THEM ! After all that work you never forget where they are.
  14. That is cool. Makes me wanna go catfishin!

Horse Hockey, I can spell and pronounce every item in that pic. Oh and sorry about the pink cup, Phil. I didn't catch that until just now. Profanity is such a huge part of my life..... But I'm working on that, promise.

  18. So this is when they draaaaag it out with as many appearances as possible, bleed Pickle dry on attorney fees, and force him into a plea agreement.

    What's Cooking?

You got that right. Uh oh! Look what it did to our table ! How do you fix THAT ?
  23. Yeah if I was a cop I'd love to get shot. Everyone forgets that you goofed, they shower you with money and you get treated like royalty for the rest of your life. Best mistake you'll ever make if you survive it.
