And what's the name of that place near there that has a couple lakes and they sell time shares? They even dump trout in there during the Winters. I stayed there once (skinny dipped in it) during my internet dating phase, but can't recall the name of it. Pretty place.

The best Walleye time in that area will be just before snagging season. This looks like it might be a good year for it because I don't think they are going to be able to draw the lake down as low as the last 6-7 previous years.

I appreciate it, but I can get some. I need to place an order for shop supplies soon anyway. I got the RIO Agent X kit today that comes with a mildly abrasive cleaning cloth, the instructions say to clean and dry the line, apply the goop liberally and let it set 24 hours, then buff it dry. Apparently it isn't just a coating, it actually soaks into the line. Whatever the goop is it is white, has the consistency of watered down toothpaste and smells like nothing, has no odor at all. I'll get busy with it later this evening.

I ain't touching that with a 10ft. pole.

When the lake is low in the spring, the White bass have to jump over a 70 yard hump of ankle deep water to get from the lake up into the creek. Eagles and osprey's perch in nearby trees and wait for a few to try it. After one or two get snatched up, not another White will attempt it until the lake level rises enough that they can shoot over that dam of silt and gravel safely. They'll just hang out close to the mouth of the creek in a deeper pool and wait, sometimes for weeks. There's no way that any of them could have seen that the few trying it first didn't make it.....somehow they just know. Don't think that you can just catch them THERE in that deeper spot, cuz they absolutely won't bite. They won't go on a feed until they make it into the creek and get settled, then it's like they turn off all that extra sensory crap and eat everything that moves with reckless abandon. So it's like they go from being so smart that you can't catch one.....to being so stupid that you can't help but catch 50 of them.

The remaining ones sure seem to. It's like the cowbirds and starlings I shoot in the yard with my little BB gun. Pop one or two and suddenly every starling and cowbird in the county won't sit still and give me a shot for 2-3 days. I think there's some telepathy going on that we haven't learned about yet. (I'm actually not joking)
