  1. Yep that'll do it. Cudo's for honesty! Rock n Roll ?
  2. Surely I'm not the only one that notices that the colored lip Wiggle Warts catch more and bigger fish than the clear lipped ones. Paint those lips!!! ??
  3. Ha! If you think I'm bad..... You have no idea ?
  4. What ever happened to this guy ? I miss him!
  5. Looks like we just hit 653.9 If I can get the boat off the trailer I plan to get out tomorrow for a bit myself. Let's meet back here tomorrow night and compare notes.
  6. Dad's! ?? When I was ready to open my own shop I needed help with getting licensed, setting up the LLC, ect. And I also needed a very forgiving lender. Hey Dad! ? Well I wanted to name it Fishinwrench Marine. I earned that handle back when I worked at the marina. A customer while waiting on his boat to be worked on was trying to get some fishing tips from the folks in the office, and my boss told him that he didn't fish much....but said he had a "wrench" back in the shop that fished all the time, so go ask him. The guy walks into the shop area and hollers "Who's the Fishin' Wrench"? The next day when I went to clock in the name on my time card had been scratched out, and replaced with Fishinwrench. Anyway (I'm telling two stories at once here).... When I told the old man what the name of my business was gonna be he did this eyebrow thing that he always did whenever us kids said or did something stupid, and said "That's the stupidest gawdam thing I've ever heard, if you are serious about this, and you want any help from ME then you are gonna put our family name on it. That way if you get lazy and screw everything up then I'll be 100% justified in killing you and using your body for cutbait". The old man is gone now, but you can bet he is standing there on the back deck of every boat I work on, doing his trademark eyebrow thing, and just waiting for me to do something stupid. Keeps me in check. ?
  7. Exactly. That's why I don't even mention it. Because my real reason for fixing it is so that nobody will ever think that I was the one that did it. Truth of the matter is....That piece of stainless wire would hold that cable in place just fine, forever. But it "looks bad".
  8. Not only that, they really are not expensive. If you just throw 5.00 in a jar everytime you use it then you'll be able to buy a new one before you tear it up.
  9. It's one of those things where nobody will notice if you do it..... But they'll sure enough notice if you don't. D.U., True enough. I haven't seen a Chrysler outboard in a coons age. Stupidest ignition system on earth. Otherwise they were good, simple (but kinda weak) motors.
  10. THIS is the kinda stuff I'm talking about... Now I have to extract this broken bolt and replace with the proper cable retainer.....And not get paid for it.
  11. Slick rig ! Mighty pricey.... But nice.
  12. No doubt. You could pull skiers, or fence in rodeo bulls with CXX. They are dropping the ball by marketing it only as a "fishing line".
  13. It looks like they are trying to replace it with that C21 crap. I have tried it before and it's OK for Crappie line, but way too soft and stretchy for a good Bass line.
  14. CXX is very tough line, but that's about the only good property it has. Too stiff for anything but flipping heavy cover with a short line. I am going to throw a fit on their FB page and see if I can round up a posse. ?
  15. Shoot the folks at Rapala a call or an email, and they'll tell you where to get some hooks.
  16. I don't carry mine, I drag it with one hand, loaded. Over grass, over gravel, over rocks. It doesn't care so why should I? It's a canoe !
  17. That's funny, I tried to order from BPS and it said "out of stock- out of production- no backorder". But yeah, you'll like it. It's good stuff.
  18. Yeah I finally found some remaining clear florescent at Sportsman's warehouse and snatched up enough for this year, but it appears that CX Premium is going bye-bye. Too bad, it is (WAS) perfect line IMO. Never fails.
  19. Say it ain't so! They are discontinuing it ???? I went to order some and all anyone has it in is Moss Green, which is fine for Spinnerbaits, Crankbaits, and Topwater stuff, but I want "clear florescent" for jigging, worming, and Wacky rigging. If I have to switch lines I'm gonna have a freakin' meltdown. ?
  20. Hell to the yes! Fat-headed streamers are where it's at. ??
  21. You're only lifting half of it at a time. Who can't lift 40 pounds? My 130lb. daughter can load a Disco 169 on our Suburban for crying out loud !
  22. Well hurry up before you put more scratches on it. ?
  23. Hate to say it publicly but Guides and "Tournament Pros" are the worst. They always have a trip or a tourney creating a deadline. If I can do it without short changing anyone else then I will. I just wish they'd realize that for me that means working until 2:AM so when I call to let them know they are done..... That means I want them to come, pay, and get it out of here right away. So many times I bust my butt to beat a deadline and when I call to let them know it's ready to go they say "oh ok great, I'll be by sometime next week". Wait. WHAT ??? I thought we were in a bigazz hurry here !
