  1. Good Humpy's are a tricky tie. They like to land upside down. I gave up on them.
  2. Cool, thanks.
  3. I wasn't "taking a shot at them"! I just know the biz, and that statement was crazy. You can't work on Mercury outboards and say that ! (too much NLA). If all you worked on were Evinrudes you MIGHT be able to.
  4. To anyone having trouble reading between the lines, that means: "We can hang a NEW MOTOR on it TODAY if you can bring the boat and an open check before 9:30am". Not diggin' on them, but that statement there could only be made by a shyster or someone totally clueless about the Marine business.
  5. I don't see that option on my device. No prices or anything.
  6. Who allows themselves to get sent to CO without fishing gear? You deserve to stay in your room !
  7. How do you order from that place ?
  8. Yeah titling a trailer is no problem, just need to modify it a bit and have it inspected as HMDE.
  9. Leroy is a cool cat. Sometimes I think he would have liked to punch Engerbretson in the throat.
  10. I have this 16' Lake Jon (L1636) ready to sell. It would make a decent rig for Taney I think.
  11. As a general rule whatever "boat" I'm in is just a tool to get me and my gear across the deep holes, as most of my river smallie fishing is done while wading. To cast and fish really well I have to be standing up. Even in the bass boat the first thing to get thrown out are the pedestal seats.
  12. I was able to keep my 8' toon pointed in the right direction by just sweeping my feet. No fins. I carried an anchor bag but never once needed it. I was going to make a stand-up platform but ended up selling it before I ever got around to it. I've regretted letting it go several times so I'll probably end up getting another (bigger) one.
  13. You may be using too wide of a biot for the hook size. Not all biots are created equal. I have some that are too wide for tailing but they work ok for wingcase spurs.
  14. Yeah I had a toon for awhile and they are great for FFing. Only reason I got rid of it was because I mostly do same site floats and the toon sucked at going upstream. Don't think I'd like the watermaster, don't you sit real low in them ? If/when you decide to do some Smallie flyfishing I'd like to join ya, or have you along with me.
  15. Nice! You caught one of those baby Stripers that don't exist. Good job!
  16. Social security may go broke, but welfare never will. Ain't that somethin'?
  17. Wonder why he didn't just say "the poor" and leave it at that? Widows and orphans.... and the poor? Do we take that one literally or not this time? Are we still supposed to help rich widows? How? Rake leaves? Wash their cars and rub their feet?
  18. Agreed. Nobody wants or deserves to be told what to do with their extra earnings. But what you do with them does define you, especially in the eyes of those less fortunate.
  19. OMG! Rolling money that you don't need/want back to your employees and customers instead of feeding it to some church is SOCIALISM ? I had no idea.
  20. For those truly missing THAT place, here is a better alternative.... http://www.screamandfly.com/forum.php
  21. You're missing my point, but I'm dropping it.
  22. If you are giving money away then your needs (whatever you determine them to be) are obviously exceeded, no ?
  23. If a fella makes so much money that it exceeds his needs to the extent that he then just gives the excess away (to some religious organization for example) then why not lower your prices and give raises to benefit the ones who help make your business successful ? If I worked hard for a company that gave excess money away while denying me a substantial raise I'd be pretty sour about that.
  24. I reckon it's safer then to have more tackle than knowledge, and hope you grow into it.
  25. Pardon me for saying it, and maybe it's just me......But those people over there are strange, they don't seem real. It's like 75% of them are bots.
