I'm all about pitching jigs, lizards, and big tubes this time of the year, but that's just me. Square bill cranks would be my choice for covering water faster. Lots of baits can/will get bit so just stick with what you feel the most comfortable with. My boat would be in less than 8ft. at all times from now until mid-June at least.

Not really. To exist forever, while still aging.....would just suck. So would being stuck at any age other than about 25-35 really. We prolly shouldn't debate this here though, so I'm gonna bail on this one now.

I'd recommend concentrating your efforts in the backends of coves and creek arms, unless you just enjoy fighting the windy mainlake stuff.

I had a buddy that led me up the Current a couple times, he was a really good jerkbait fisherman and would roll those browns out from under logjams then quickly get his bigass Rapala away from them so that I could deliver a big leech fly in its vicinity while the fish was still trying to figure out where that big flashy minnow went to. It was an absolute blast! And I've tried since then to elicit the type of response that those big minnow baits get with all manner of streamer fly's. It only works about 1/10 of the time. Those big 5" Rapala's apparently have an acoustic footprint....or something that just flat excites a nice brown trout in a way that no streamer can copy. I learned something really cool about browns by doing that though, and that is IF you can coax a big brown out of his hiding place he is gonna eat SOMETHING before he goes back.

10 years from now they are apt to discover that the chemicals in sunscreen are harmful, so..... I just take my chances that my body doesn't require commercial products in order to survive on the planet I was born on. Sunburn, windburn, frostbite.....just minor things in life that happen annually. The body adjusts if you'll just let it I think.

I never said that nobody should use a buff, or that nobody should shield themselves from everything outdoors.... I just said they look stupid. The same guys (and I mean GUYS, cuz you never see girls wearing them) that wear buffs when fishing don't wear them when out driving around, or when mowing the yard, or any other time.....So that's what I don't understand. If you're truly wearing it to protect your delicate skin from whatever it is you're afraid of then why do we EVER have to see your face? Kids today! They walk around with their butt showing, yet hide their face, but only when they are FISHING. Whatever.

The weather pattern appears to be a scattering of quick little thunderstorms, they don't look like they'll dump much rain overall. I hope I'm wrong though because I'd like to see it POUR BUCKETS !
