  1. Yeah I started to go there, but you know....mixed company.
  2. Separate the coupler and using a syringe fill the line from the engine coupler to the guage with RV anti-freeze. It won't get sucked out and will prevent freezing all Winter while still allowing the guage to work in cold weather.
  3. Good thread ! Let's begin a list of all the Genuinely Stupid Things... 1. Legal Marriage 2. CCW permits 3. Seat belt laws 4. DWI checkpoints 5. Deer checking stations 6. House cats 7. 4. That all just looks like wind damage, no twister ?
  5. Won't be anyone wading at RR People who don't fish hear that felt soled waders are banned..... they aren't even aware that felt soled boots even exist, but they ARE somewhat aware that there is such a thing as "waders", so all that registers in their non-fishing X-box brain is.... Waders are banned.
  6. Nice work, man ! Any idea what area of the lake the muskie bit? If they wete crappie fishing I assume that he bit in less than 10 fow
  7. If it is hard line with a compression coupler on the engine side then I doubt that the line froze and burst. Probably a leaking coupler, bad guage, or the line is clogged with scale. (Mentioned in order of the most likely). Assuming of course that the water pump is ok.
  8. Chopped hair blended in the dubbing? Very cool.
  9. If you go and take children be sure to cover their eyes, there might be naked occupiers wearing rubber boots, and hats that say "I Want To Get Felt"
  10. That was most Dead-on accurate post of the year so far.
  11. The surface temp below Bagnell for the last 3 days has been 41-43°, I would expect very close to the same at Warsaw.
  12. AT LEAST? No. If you're gonna kill or maim something you should AT LEAST eat it !
  13. Most common cause is a snapped O-ring on the manual release valve. Or a manual release valve that isn't seated good. Back it off a few turns then retighten it, if that doesn't fix the leak-down then it'll need to go to the shop (removing a broken valve without leaving a piece behind is a tricky procedure).
  14. I don't think that's it. They go balls to the wall, working undercover ect. after victimless crimes every day and it nets the state Zippidy-do-da. Hell if they'd catch some giggers they could seize boats, trucks, generators, PROPERTY.....all kinds of goodies. I'd think it would be well worth a few nights out on the river. Put a worthwhile bounty on 'em and I bet myself and a few cohorts could rack up some revenue in a big way.
  15. Thanks Dave, Yeah, it's 22 strands of Sili-legs, furled together. How's things in the brick city? You should come down and hit the whites and green/brown bass with us this Spring. Gazer was asking about you the other day.
  16. Redbeard to Ho Humm would be a short float but it's excellent water and the shuttle is a breeze.
  17. I think he's talking about a 2' piece of rail with a hole bored in it. Just take a hacksaw and go down to the.... oh, wait....that could be bad! REAL BAD! Nevermind
  18. You just can't help yourself, can ya? Just gotta make it look like a crawdad ! Black ops only has a "single tail". (I like him by the way)
  19. I concocted this creature last Summer when I was attempting to catch some carp, just Ultra chenille on a 1/80 jighead. I never got one to take it....but I'm not too sure I wasn't just fishing to slumbering buffalo. I'll try it again this year now that I'm a tad bit smarter.
  20. I think its been determined to be 4-6 on average.
  21. What are your thoughts, every Spring anglers put a hurtin' on the Whites at all the usual spots. Knowing that White bass are fast growing but short-lived fish do you think it's possible to overharvest them? I'm on the fence. I used to load my freezer with as many as I could legally have in my possession and maintain that (after I had eaten a mess or two) until they had escaped me, but I don't do that anymore. Last year I would only keep 6 per outing regardless of how well they were biting because the previous year I began to notice that fewer big ones were showing up. I'm kinda hoping that I did them a favor and in some way helped make up for a few massive hauls that I'm sure others took home....then probably came back for more. So is the general consensus that it is impossible to overharvest Whites? Because I worry about it sometimes.
  22. That situation (having other boats stop and fiish the same area just because they assumed I was "on fish") would drive me crazy. Id almost pay a small fleet of 3-4 boats to anchor down about a mile above where I was catching them. I know the fish are plentiful and fellowship is cool and all...but still.
  23. I carved out a nice butthole to accept the tie-in area of the silicone.
  24. Late April will be awesome....provided its not flooded. And Bennett is chok full of guys that will be honored to offer up pointers and advise. If you notice someone that looks like they know what they're doing, strike up a conversation with them and the next thing you know you'll have the next best thing to a personal guide and instructor ....for free.
  25. Crayfish? They're CRAWDADS, man. Quit tawkin like a Yankee ! The top/left gets my vote.
