  1. I agree, but probably for different reasons. To me and quite a few others I know of, it has to do with the unwarranted change of atmosphere and nazi tactics of the ones running it. The weekend-cigar urbanite types don't seem to mind that kinda stuff because I guess they are used to it. But I'm not, so they can have it. Didn't know about the goldfish thing...what's that about ? LOL
  2. I wonder what effect (if any) that the gulf oil spill will have on eel migration ? They are obviously pretty hardy critters.
  3. if it was closer I'd take it off your hands. Don't suppose you are headed to lake O any time soon ?
  4. Had to work all day and didn't get to go. Gonna hit'em this evening though, I think.
  5. I've become grossly distended myself in the last year or so, I think I might have a tumor too
  6. OMG, Carp jungle...on the fly ! That's some pretty extreme angling boys. Catch that on video next time, I'd love to see/hear the caos.
  7. Gotcha, and let me be a little more clear on mine.... Since you haven't caught either (gar or musky) why, after responding to the following question...are you suggesting that I'm the one that might need help overcoming confusion ? Have you ever pee'd on anyones leg ?
  8. Cool bro, If you have figured out a design that doesn't roll when you stretch them I'm all over it ! I had a 10ft. board made up with various peg placement options and I worked with it for a long time, but I could never figure out how to counter that tension twisting in the finished product. I Thought I had tried everything possible. I definately want to check yours out, specifically one for clousers and bass bugs on a 7wt. that I could attach 2-3ft. of 3x-4x tippet.
  9. I'm confused. You've never caught one ? Or you have, a number of times ? "Long sleek body, fights like hell, jumps like a tarpon, sharp teeth, taste delicious"....Sounds just like a Gar
  10. Boats have all that glitter and bling so that wives will allow their husbands to sign 30,000.00 loan agreements when the roof is leaking and the rent is 2 months late.
  11. Flytyer57, I've seen Musky caught, just never caught one myself. I was just saying, since Clark is jonesin' for some hammer-handle sport he's probably better off targeting Gar than Musky while he's stuck here in Missouri. I hooked into one recently on the fly and I can't imagine that a Musky could be much better sport as far as fighting ability goes. If they had colorful spots and stripes they'd probably be more sought after. LOL Plus, I keep hearing that Gar backstrap is delicious, so the next one I catch I'm gonna try it.
  12. To those who have caught both, how would you rate (compare) the fight between a Muskie and a Gar ? Do Musky get air ?
  13. No flyfish Musky Pomme too deep Musky too few cast arm off never get bite
  14. Wow,that's profound. I guess the timing of my boycott was favorable.
  15. That fish....either gulped a belly full of water during the battle, or it needs to poop, soon !
  16. I kinda miss Bennett, but I'm sticking to my guns and have sworn it off. Plenty of other places (free of surveillance) to get my fix.
  17. I always did, but just enough to test the bite on a given day, and to make sure I was instructing them properly. It always seemed to improve the confidence (and concentration) of the people I was guiding if they could see a few fish caught. I never once had anyone complain, but then again I always left the best water for them.
  18. We love dogs around here. Are you a Shephard or a dobie ?
  19. And he does have "river karma", in spades. If you even slow down to let your partner land a fish he'll hole-jump ya...
  20. What's with this "half a plum" reference ? Who eats plums ?
  21. Jeff, Since you said that swapping plugs out made it worse I'm going to assume that you didn't "index" the plugs". The spark plugs have to be tightened in such a way that the open end of the plug gaps are in line with the injectors on all the cylinders. To do that you need to mark the insulator of each plug on the side that the electrode is on, then make sure it is positioned opposite of the injector when it tightens up (sometimes you have to swap them around to get them all to land right). Now that I've said that I'll also tell ya that the spark plugs are not likely to be the cause of your rough idling problem. Draw a fuel sample into a glass jar (from the vapor seperator) and see if there's any water in the fuel. If not then you're gonna have to dig up some cash and take it to a tech. "Reasonable" is still 80-90 per hour, and don't let a lawn mower mechanic tinker with your Opti. LOL You didn't say where you are located, but since you posted in the Stockton forum I'm guessing you are in the Springfield area ?
