Your welcome

Couple of questions. Why are my red bell peppers still green? Anyone know of where to get a decent but inexpensive canning pressure cooker? Wife's birthday is Sunday.

Pulled a nice fat ripe tomato, a "better boy" I think my wife said it was. It seemed perfect, no holes, rips, but when I cut it open it was as rotten as a corpse. Any ideas what caused that and why it looked perfect on the outside?

I have fished the San Juan River many many times. There will be a lot of fishermen but there is plenty of room. My favorite spots are the upper flats and the Texas hole. I use slot of small dries in the upper flats. Here is a great page to get info from. And,Abes has the best green Chile breakfast burrito ever! http://sanjuanriver.com/

Wow! My first ever attempt at pickles. I added a jalapeno pepper. The jar is already gone.
-
How much will that make? We have quart jars.

Our cucumbers and peppers are far exceeding last year's crop. Wife did a batch of dill pickles already, pickled okra too. In the next couple of days I am going to do bread and butter pickles and a jar or three of peppers. We even have a couple of watermelons on the vine.

Our onions never got any bigger than the size of a ping pong ball(and that is exaggerating) our potatoes never took at all. Very disappointed in that. We are going to try them again.

We have some peppers that we picked, (hot hot) snap peas, okra, blueberries. Tomatoes are coming along great, cucumbers survived the storm as did the beans. We got a late start planting, but things are looking good. A little disappointed in the bell peppers, we had one small one and nothing else. One of eggplants taken a couple of weeks ago. We a several of them now and getting big

This is what it looked like before the storm. We used small landscaping staples to secure the trellis. We will get larger ones this weekend.
-
We constructed a trellis for our cucumber and beans. Yesterday's storm ripped them out of the ground and took some beans with them. The cucumbers were partially out of the ground. The trellis wound up laying on some tomato plants. Are beans and cucumbers hardy enough to survive the stress?

Wildeye Ranch in Galena. $20 per yard, no rocks, a little sand, but I was quite happy with the dirt I got today.mama has decided that this year we were going bigger. 28 x 15. Plus, I built a potato box and an improvised greenhouse. My fly rod feels neglected.

$250.00 she wants to get rid of it

She said "make me a reasonable offer"

They are asking $400 for the whole thing. honestly, I don't know how rock solid that price may be. There is at least 1 vise in there. I thought I took a photo of it, it is a Herter vise. you can a little bit of the vise in photo #13
