you don't have to retrieve the NED at all. Just throw it out and let it sit, and 18" smallies jump out of the water and land at your feet.

"little" bait will catch little fish.... not saying they won't also catch bigger fish, but if I am going specifically to not catch small fish, I'd probably not throw anything the smaller fish would eat.

Stick with it! I noticed in one of your earlier posts you are fishing with an ultralight with 4 lb line. If you do hook into a sizable smallie around some structure you could be in trouble. If I were going out today I'd have a medium action rod with 8 lb test and I'd have a buzzbait, some sort of walk the dog lure, a spinner bait and maybe a crank bait of some sort. Basically I'd want to cover some water. I'd be out on the whole crawdad on a hook thing.

the best fishing that is closest to springfield for me is Rivercut. I never have much luck above Spflld Lake. Just park at the golf course and head downstream. My advice to you when wade fishing is not to wade unless its necessary. Stay on the bank if you can. I always see people sloshing around in the water making a big ruckus and not catching anything. I prefer to go ninja stealth mode on 'em. The big ones aren't stupid. As late in the evening that you are fishing, a buzzbait wouldn't be wrong....

good ol' Rutledge Wilson farm in Springfield has a stocked pond you can fish from for a couple bucks per person. my 4 year old catches the crap out of bluegill, catfish and bass there with his snoopy rod. worm, hook, bobber....catches one every cast.

I've heard that some people in the soccer world think that this game may have been fixed. I don't know for sure, but I think most of those guys make a pretty good living, so I don't know if I believe it. I guess it would only take 1 or 2 defenders to let them score a couple of easy goals to make it happen tho. Because there sure ain't no coming back in soccer. you get down 3 or 4 goals and its basically over.

guys, it's 2014. A friend of mine's wife went into a coffee shop the other day and left her keys in the ignition. came out 5 min later and her car was gone. found it 3 days later. People are going to steal your stuff if you give them the chance to. it's just the world we live in today. It probably takes a thief about a minute to get off his boat, bust the lock on your locker and take all your stuff. It sucks to have to haul all your gear off the dock, but it sucks more to have to replace it.

basketball "worked" without the 3 pt line and shot clock. Football "worked" without instant replay. Baseball has alot of things that need to change in my opinion but too many good ole boys in charge. The NFL makes rule changes every year, hopefully soon we won't have to watch that silly extra point kick anymore. Soccer doesn't need an overhaul by any means, just a little tweak here and there.
