What if these things start runnin around the rock?

the ties are one of the reasons its hard for me to watch soccer. Why not just go with the first team to score in OT wins? US and Germany could agree to tie the next game and they would both advance. Any sport with this possibility has problems. And whats up with the cards? Yellow card, red card? Could you imagine if Wainwright beaned a guy and instead of giving a warning the ump pulled out a yellow card? WTF? But the worst part of soccer has to be the clock. Clock's in sports count down, not up. I'd like to know when the game will be over, not when the ref would like it to end. When a player is injured, or flopping around acting like they are injured, just blow a whistle and stop the darn clock. Seems to work in other sports. I'll continue to watch our boys for no other reason than my undying patriotism, but I'm far from ordering the MLS channel anytime soon.

Maybe some of you folks should just make some no wake buoys and go set them where you like. Doesn't sound like there is any water patrol to remove them

Wow that's awesome. Fred Funk has always seemed like a pretty cool cat. Neither one of them wanted to hold their own fish? And if you walked Buffalo Ridge then you definitely got your hike in for the day!

There's not much bank to easily fish from at delaware town IMO. Theres a slow pool just down from the ramp that I see people catfishing at. Just upstream from the ramp there is some decent fishing but I,ve always gotten there by boat. Not sure how far you could wade up without swimming. I hear good things about Rivercut, but never been there. I think I'm gna check it out this weekend

So how much does johnny world pay the city to use the lake? Can anyone pay and have the same access?

Now...this thread started by someone saying they were upset by seeing someone running a 225 on the lake. So they put in at the 65 bridge and opened her up, flying by canoes and kayaks causing people to fall into the water? Because I can see being pissed about that. But, Idling past small boats and maybe opening it up out on the main lake away from everybody else, well i could care less about that. The nice gentleman that started this thread said he saw 4 lawbreakers last weekend out on the lake. And now he's on a mission. A mission to catch fishermen. Really? If you want a mission sit outside bars and call in drunk drivers, they kill people.

Fishinwrench, you have this right on. Being out there with the big motor up only using the trolling motor hurts nobody. Now, the guy who has his big boat sitting in the driveway and went and spent a couple grand on a boat so he could "legally" fish on Spfld Lake, he's pissed.

OTF, I love ya man, you bleed black and gold as much as anybody. But, I almost do feel like he owes me something. I was the guy sticking up for him, telling everybody that he wasn't doing it for money. Telling everyone "hey, it's not like you have to watch him make out with a guy on TV, so what's the big deal? he just wants to be a football player." WRONG. If this was some guy from LSU I wouldn't care, but he's one of my guys, and he lied to me. So for me he goes down with Aldon Smith and DGB and others as Mizzou guys that have let me down.. I understand the guy is just trying to make a buck. But, what would you think if he had come out his junior year at Mizzou? Do you think it would have been a distraction to Mizzou football to have Oprah and the 3 ring circus parading around Faurot Field every Saturday afternoon? Exactly why Pinkel made it stay in house.

i feel deceived by Sam. I believed him when he came out and said that he just wanted to be a football player. Now he's proven the opposite, that it's all just a big show. I originally thought that he would make the team, but this Oprah thing has changed my mind. I don' think the rams want that distraction.

I don't know if i catch 130 fish in a year. If I catch that many in a day I'm sure as hell not putting that bait down, I don't care how big the fish are. I'd probably go home and mount that bait on the wall.

Yep, he now has to strap on (no pun intended...) the pads with the big boys, a lot of which probably don't want him there. They aren't going to make it easy on him. If they hadn't seen him makin out with that lil white dude maybe they would have been more accepting, but now I'd say its game on. Do the rams "have" to make a roster spot for him now you think?

I'm a Sam fan because I'm a Mizzou guy. And I did believe that the statement above was true, until that public display of affection when he was drafted. Every guy in the rams locker room went from "he's just a guy who wants to play and help us win" to "what the hell was that!?" I think he knows he isn't gna make it in the NFL and now thinks he has some sort of mission. Hey, it makes for interesting TV. Lots of guys have won the heisman and not made it in the pros, so winning SEC defensive POY doesn't mean Sam will succeed. The scouts know what they see, and that is that he isn't fast enough, strong enough or big enough to be a high pick. I'd say he'll make the team, play some special teams for a couple of years and be done. I did hear he had the 2nd highest selling rookie jersey after the draft behind Manziel. If nothing else it should be an interesting crowd at the rams games if he makes the team. How long before this thread is deleted?

Anybody have a guess as to who the Chiefs or Rams are gna take in the 1st round? I wouldn't mind seeing the Chiefs trade back and pick up another pick since they have no second rounder, unless there's a real stud sitting there in the 1st when they pick. Don't the rams have a buttload of picks? 12 or something like that?

four of us put in at greer and floated to whites creek on friday. caught several trout on the way. fished around whites creek on Saturday and did well. caught all trout on a home made peach colored jig. tried lots of other things but zero results. back to the peachy and kept on catching. floated to riverton on sunday and caught a bunch more trout. tried for some smallies but no good. anybody got any info on small mouths below greer? all in all probably 50 trout caught keep 4 for dinner Saturday . had a great time with the best of friends.

From what i understand he's a defense first guy, which I like. But not alot of McDonalds All Americans lining up to play defense these days. If he stays with that philosophy, which I think he will, and recruits those "kind of kids" if you will, and gets them to play team ball then I think he will do fine. MIZ
