9lb Large mouth on a deep diving Rebel that I caught the day before on a Shadrap up river from Shell Knob bridge.

Jelly77 Sorry I didn't say anything but I'm like most. I don't make it down very much and I want to soak it all in and I don't like to bother people catching fish. It was a weather perfect night wasn't it!!! The catching is a cherry on top!

I got to go fishing!!!! Yea!!! I was down Tuesday with the family and snuck out about 10:00pm to the dam. They said 2 units but it was more like one the way the flow was. When I got down there there was only one car in the lot and temp was great and it wasn't raining. I fished a little around outlet 2 and caught one and had good hits but I was a little slow on the hook set. I moved up right below outlet 1 and put on the black cone head leach. That's what they wanted! I was getting hits on allmost every cast. (Still slow on the hook set) I caught about 7 fish and missed a ton of hits. It was really great to just be down there and the quiet was relaxing and needed. I left about 12:00. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

That's great!!!! I bet you both will never forget that one! I hope it's one of many that you two experiance together!! My dad still and I have a lot of those memories together!!

Whenever we get into one of these types of discussions on the forum I'm always enlighten and entertained by everyone’s remarks. The diversity of views are wonderful. Something we all have to remember is that most of the decisions that are made are made my people that don’t have our back grounds or know really what is going on in the real world. Most not all of these people make the decisions looking at numbers and listening to those that have their ear. The larger city’s will always get the better of the deals because of the population in their voting precincts. In the big city’s the dense population will drive the money to their areas. Until we change the way this is done nothing will ever change.

If you all remember a year or so ago Laker67 and I had a stab at getting a min length limit on Taney. The MDC wasn't too interested in our findings. I don't know why. I'm up for another stab at it if anyone would like to help us.

I'm with Tim. I stood right beside him and didn't see anyone or any fish. On a side note. If there were any fish in the river it was a beautiful day and top water was fun and saw several big fish caught. I broke one off. . I did see three big fish dead on the bottom. Please handle with care!!! Caught about 30 fish.

Well I loaded up the family Friday afternoon and headed down to RR for the weekend. It was pretty cold Friday evening and the camp fire felt great. We cooked hot dogs and the girls really enjoyed it. The park was full up. Lots of the big RV's and big campers. Saturday morning my brother and I got up and headed out to fish. The river was still rolling pretty well and had a lot of stain to it. I'm a sight fisherman so I really didn't want to fight the river. There was quite a few people fishing and bundled up!! I decited to walk back to the trailer and get my girls and have some breakfast at the little place in the private campground up Dry Creek. Good stuff. After breakfast we went hiking!!! MAN what a paint brush God has!! The trees were as beautiful as I've seen them in years. The temp went up nicely and we had so much fun on the hike!! After the hiking we decited to go to Bubba's in Eureka Springs! MAN what great BBQ!!!! After a full belly it was time to go ghost hunting at the Cresent Hotel! We didn't see any ghosts but we had a blast looking!!! Wonderful weekend!!!!!! OH YEA! I didn't catch one fish but had one of the best weekends I've ever had at Roaring River!!!!

Like they have said. It's funny when it's someone else! I was fishing a tournament and was waiting for a guy to unload his boat and he did the prep before he got to the water but it was a steep ramp! The boat slipped off the trailer about 40feet before the water and slid all the way to the water! The guy in the boat had a unforgetable look on his face! He sat there for a minute in discuss before he felt the water at his feet! No PLUG!! He yells at his buddy to get the trailer back which we all let him back down and what does he do then? He forgets in his rush to trim up the motor!!! Dragged it all the way up the ramp. The guy in the boat got out and trimed up the motor and they just drove off!!!! Ouch of a day!!!

A length limit??? Didn't someone try to get this started before??? I'm in for it!!!

Thanks Superfly! If I had several people interested I would consider doing a class. It might be bad for me to show everyone how easy it is to build a rod!

Hey I got to go fishing!!! I've been spending most of my spare time building fly rods. I got down to the river about 12 noon. The river was higher than I've seen it in a while but I haven't been down much this summer. The water had some stain to it but you could see the fish pretty well. I met up with some friends from OK. Good to see them and talk. Used the Killer worm and caught about 15 fish. The river for the most part didn't have a lot of fish. There were the old favorite holes that had fish in them but numbers seemed low. I still had a great time!! The weather was great and that alone makes for a great day!!!
