  1. i have some back issues and taking the extension off made it easier for me to get up and down off the deck. I suffer from the just in case syndrom. i carry way too much gear so any extra weight i can reduce helps! i'd rather have the tackle than the extension hahahaha!!!!!!
  2. Yep its something to be proud of, the ole girl was solid when i bought her and all she needed was some TLC. I've got a deck extension but i bet the darn thing weighs 35lbs. so i took it out but i'll put it back on when i fish buddy tournaments so we can both fish off the front if need be. i had bought an old champion 201 tournament fish and ski and did some work on it before mom got real sick and had to sell it but i learned alot on how to restore a boat from it.
  3. thnx for the good report I'm hoping we have a stable pattern starting to develope. USA bassing had a derbie out of Hartley on saturday with 27 boats and alot were fishing same pattern. it took over 25lbs to win it.
  4. it will be there but not almost everyday like it was my wednesday night and friday night tourneys start up on the rock within the next couple of weeks.
  5. a good place to start would be by targeting shad balls and slowly retrieving the rig underneathe them.
  6. 3rd pic shows a 998c at the console but i recently replaced it with the 1197c si unit.
  7. After alot of hard work and upgrades I'm very proud of my old boat. upgrades include: 1158c gps combo on the front deck 1197 si unit mounted on top rail at console hydro wave hot foot pro trim on steering column recessed foot control tray will replace the motor guide pro 70 with the digital 109 i'm getting from Bill tomorrow. replaced all rivets on deck lids and live wells buffed the old girl out replaced thermostats and water pump impeller replaced a tail light assembly on the trailer bought a 25p power tech prop for backup and taking my tempest plus 25p in to get reworked this week. i still need to do something with the seats, install led blk lights in the rub rail and get the steel reed valves replaced with boisen laminated reed valves but shes coming together very nicely.
  8. Will be making a stop at sportsman on my way to Kimberling City tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. All I can tell you is Sportsman Factory outlet is completely out and will not get another shipment till June but they are getting a shipment of the Spro Fat Papas this week.
  10. I'm tickled to death to get it Bill. My old '98 r93 is upgrading nicely. All I lack on it is black lights in the rub rail and i need to either have the bench seat recovered or looking into new bucket seats with a console.
  11. sale pending on TM I'm putting it on a little 16' ebbtibe mini bass boat I traded for and a couple 700 series hummingbirds one has side imaging. My neighbor is wanting it to take to his brother's strip pit in the northern part of the state. its an ugly little thing but its perfect for what they want to use it for.
  12. I'm getting a few warts but mostly new mad flash and the BPS exclusive colors and I'm glad I bought my RKcrawlers when I did.
  13. dave i found the problem ive got a gel battery for a starter battery and i didnt have my onboard charger set up for it so i had a low voltage problem. thank goodness it wasnt the graphs that scared me half to death cause ive got alot of money tied up in them.
  14. thnx Dave i'll see if they have them at the hardware store.
  15. my 1197c and 1158c got wet on wednesday. i took them off and dried them off in the house but when i put them back on this morning they booted up but shut down in a few seconds. I think the key pads have moisture in them. All I can think to do is seal them up in a big 25lb bag of rice. Does anyone have any other suggestions I can try.
  16. you too my friend.
  17. after you type your text hit enter a couple times then make sure your floating cursor isnt in the middle of the text. use your mouse to move it down out of the way next to where you had just hit enter then click one time then try posting your pic. if my floating cursor is up in the middle of my text it posts the link in the middle cutting off what ive typed if that makes any sense.

  22. Joe I hate to tell you this but you might see a half dozen rods on the deck but usually theres atleast that many more in the rod boxes and another dozen or so at the house. i'm not speaking for everyone but just myself I have what is called ''just in case syndrome'' when it comes to fishing equipment. I buy it just in case I might need it later.
  23. Dill said turnback was full to its banks and chocalate milk brown at O highway bridge on his way home and another friend Dale ran down to 39 bridge to do some catfishing off the road bed. he said the ramp is not usable because of debris jammed in the pocket and sons is muddy and alot of trash coming down it but the cats had moved up and we biting good. a 14lb blue got caught there this afternoon.
