  1. I bought one online from National Sales for my Xtereme 21'X48" for about $225. Thats less than half of local top & canvas shop quoted me. I bought one for up to 21'6"x96" because my boat measures 20'10" but if I were to do it again I would order for 20'6"x84". Cover seems to be very well made and pretty much covers the intire boat sides and all. Really stout canvas 3 year warranty.
  2. Check with Lowel Barenczky 870-405-5654 (Topwater) Rob Williams 870-404-9791(Shawnee/Supreme) Jeff Moore 870-405-4983(Xtreme) These are the guys who make most of the boats for the guides & outfitters on the White River. If you are looking for a late model river jon they will usally know someone that has one for sale. If you want a fixer-upper. Try giving Ron Gambell 870-421-4176 (Cotter trout dock) a call he has quite a few older boats out behind the dock. Any of the outfitters have older boats around. If you decide to check with these guys keep in mind that boats get sold & traded pretty often but good motors & trailers are harder to find. If you want a cheaper older complete rig Craigslist is a good place to look but be careful.
  3. Powerdrives use the electric steering housing as the mounting bracket. This sale includes the trolling motor & the wired foot control. No quick release bracket or wireless remote control.
  4. This trolling motor is still for sale. Buyer turned out to be working a scam on Craigslist. He fedex'ed me a check to deposit in my account to take out payment for the motor and forward the remainder for transportation. Check was for $1860. I took the check to a US bank officer who said there is a lot of this going on. Check appeared to be quite a good forgery of a cashier's check on a bank in Rhode Island, the routing number was for a bank in Scotland. I did not deposit the check so I didn't lose any money. I did learn you really have be careful when dealing with people online.
  5. I have a Minn Kota Powedrive with 54"shaft, 55 pound thrust, 12 volt with a wired foot pedal. This motor hasn't had a lot of hours on it and is not beat up. It is the older style with the flat plugs. I have it on my boat right now and have used it several times it works great with no issues. I'm selling it because I bought a new I-pilot. Would consider trade for pistol, rifle or 12 ga shotgun. Price is $275. 870-321-3705
  6. I just brought up the Newlands Resort Web Cam and looks like 5 units are running. Looks like maybe it didn't long for the repairs.
  7. I remember a few years ago we started catching some huge 1 pound + bluegills while bottom bouncing for walleyes with night crawlers. That was about the same time we started to find zebra mussels. Maybe there will be a bright side after all to the ##%#% infestation.
  8. Got the Twin Lakes Walleye club report for 1/30/15 points 5,6 & dam all showed 46+ from the surface down to 30' in the mornings. I'm guessing south facing rocky coves in the afternoons on some of the warmer days we have had would be in the lower 50's.
  9. Had a great time at "Jigfest on Tanycomo" Lilly's landing is a top notch resort. Phil & Marsha are wonderful hosts. Unfortunately I was only able to fish one day. Weather turned colder, with abit of wind & cloudy skys. I had the privilege of fishing with Gris Wilson again and really enjoyed it. We started off down by Branson Landing trying to catch crappie and testing pretty impressive mixture electronics that Gris had brought along. We could mark quite few crappie in the weed beds but we couldn't get them to hit the jigs. I think it was the weather change a lack of generation. We put the boat back on the trailer headed up to Cooper creek after lunch. Gris talked some of the other guys who had went upstream in the morning and were able to fish the small rise from the Tablerock dam and really got into a trout bite. We headed upstream about 1:30 pm we motored within sight of the dam hoping to catch another rise but there was no generation and the north wind picked up. We did manage to get a few trout to hit our jigs and and we had a fun day. I was impressed by the average size of the rainbows we caught and will be back to Tanycomo and Lillys landing again.
  10. No longer needed. Thanks for looking.
  11. I'm still planning to come up, but can't get on the road till after about 4 PM.
  12. Do you still have this for sale?
  13. I need a good condition 48"-54" 24V either foot or wireless control trolling motor for a older Lund 1750 Tyee. Also looking for a couple of fishfinder GPS combos. 870-321-3705
  14. I'm looking to buy a used boat 1990-2005 model deep V with a full windshield, 70-150 HP outboard motor. Aluminum or fiberglass walleye type boat, must have a factory installed livewell and be designed to mount a bow mount trolling motor. Must be in good condition with either a Yamaha, Mercury or OMC My price range is under $10,000. If you have or know someone who has a boat that fits this general description. Please call or text me at 870-321-3705. (Still looking 1/11/15)
  15. IMHO, I think the Silver bullets are younger stockers that really havent had time to feed on natural insects, crayfish & minnows. I also would like to comment on Phils statement about the lack of visable baitfish (minnows). Not long ago perhaps 2-3 years ago it seems the minnow population really took a whack. We used to be able to trap minnows on just about any gravel bar from the state park just below the dam all the way down the river. I think as Phil mentioned minamum flow should have seen the river minnow population explode, that doesnt seem to be the case. Please don't think I'm saying we don't have minnows in the river, just that we don't seem have as many as we once did. I wonder if the Zebra mussels that now have infested Bull Shoals lake have had an effect on the plankton in the river that the minnows need to feed on. They (zebra mussels) have already had atleast one adverse effect on the river & lake by causing the closure of the Pot Shoals growout faciltiy which supplied the river with quality (larger) trout so now we have more silver bullets. Hopefully they will grow out durring the winter while the fishing pressure is down. We did seem to have plenty of quality sized & colored rainbows all season (April-October) Maybe Mojo rig (AGFC)will have some input on this thread.
  16. Just want to say how much i enjoyed jigfest the one day (Friday) that I was able be part of it. I really enjoyed fishing with Pete & Les. Pete really had a nack with the jig and was outfishing Les & I about 5 to 1 for a while. We finally got insync with what was working and really got to catchin. I also really enjoyed getting to meet the OAF guys in person and the food that evening was really a treat. I hope to be able to attend the next jigfest or get together. The video that ham posted is top notch and I think it really shows what a day on the White River is all about.
  17. I'm still planning on being there at least Friday & probably Saturday. Don't plan on getting a room cause it's only a 30 minute drive to Bufalo City. But I'm not sure I'll have a boat as mine is going into the repair shop next week to repair some rock damage. Will there be enough empty seats that I can bum a ride if my boats not ready?
  18. Hey, this sounds like fun. I can make friday and maybe Saturday. I live in Mountain Home so I dont need a cabin. I do like deep fried flathead so I would like to be there for that. I would like to meet the OAF bunch. I will bring my boat also with room for anyone who wants a ride.
  19. Zebra mussels were the reason given for closing the Pot Shoals net pens. I have caught them on jigging spoons and on bottom bouncers. All over Bull Shoals lake but they were really thick from about Peel all the way up the lake.
