  1. Thanks for the responses, I need to do a little measuring when i get home. i will let ya know what i come up with Dutch
  2. Yeah I know. We actually drove by in my boat and saw the lights on the truck flashing but didn't even think about it. I assume the alarm went off and the idiot ran off otherwise I bet he would have hit all the teucks
  3. Does anyone have any gray boat carpet they would want to sell. i dont need a whole lot, i was going to take out my center worthless seat on my tracker and build a little box

  5. I was a Beaver Creek at Bull a couple weeks back and it started to rain so i was loading and a couple other guys were too. The other guys had their window busted out and a pistol stolen. And a couple years back someone was taking the nuts of of peoples hitches down there. Scary stuff
  6. I have fished the beaver creek area real hard the last month and most of the whites have been little 6 inchers. Last Tuesday all of a sudden I caught 10 females full of eggs. They are def getting ready
  7. Ok thanks for clearin it up. I was going to be bummed if I missed one
  8. Was this a private tournament? I never heard anything about it or i would have went.
  9. Well you cant say no to a 6 year old. I was at Beaver on friday. Only two rigs in the lot. Fishing was slow, only caught a couple Crappie and some short whites. Im sure if it would have been better i would have been back at it on saturday
  10. Anyone besides sit at home to just avoid all the flatlanders and fair weather fisherman that they knew would be out on a 70 degree day in feb. I just dont think i could have handled the unloading/loading confusion of the 70 degree and abovers. My best days this year have been below the freezing mark and that is the truth, probably my favorite winter fishing
  11. I already have the LSS2 unit so all i need is a head unit and wiring. "Birdwatcher" also has the Xi5 linked up and he thinks the touch is the only way to go considering the link controls, and from what i have read i think i would agree. I have had my eye on the 10's until i talked to him. But i really feel that the way they are set up is more for a touch screen interface. I hate all these decisions. Its tough cuz there isnt a lot of info out yet on how they link up.
  12. I can hit about 3.0 with it. My tracker is just the 175 txw. kinda have to be careful with the remote, if i hit prop on and it is on full it will about toss me out of the boat. I cant wait to get it linked up to my Lowrances, I still got to get rid of my bird on the front and buy a HDS touch, Any suggestions? I have a HDS 7 i plan on moving to the bow and i want to get one for the back, i kinda feel the hds7 touch will be to small at the console to run the side scan.
  13. Great, thanks for the help. I got the Xi5 80lb and it def moves my tracker pretty good. I guess if i troll 6 hours and dont catch any i should probably go home anyhow
  14. Ok thanks, I just went to a 24v on my tracker and the factory wiring worked fine until i ran on high for a 1/2 mile then it popped my breaker and actually melted the wire. So that kinda makes me nervous. Did you see any length in battery life? Mine go quite a while, but i have been doing a lot of trolling with it and after about 6 hours of constant trolling they start to go. Im thinking somewhere in town will have a spool that i can buy by the foot. The car audio places are awful proud of their wire.
  15. Anyone know a good place to buy some 6 guage wire around springfield for some troller wiring, Bass Pro only has 8 guage
  16. That's what I figured. I'm gonna put mine up front for sonar as well. Guess I'll save some pennies up for. Touch
  17. I can't wait I get mine set up like that. I have a hds7 at the dash now I'm going to move to te front. I debating on getting a HDS 10 but it isn't touch. How important would yiu say the touch screen is with the XI5? I'm with you on the hard to find info. Seems like not many people have them linked up to their Lowrance yet

  19. WE caught a nice mess a couple springs ago in a brush pile big one was 16' and then a couple 13 and 14's. The smallest in that pic looks tiny but it is actually 10 1/2. The others are just big. They are all pretty skinny though, nothing like Bull Shoals or Stockton crappie. We also caught a couple everytime we went bass fishing this winter throwing jerkbaits. Everywhere from the put in under HWY 65 down to the boat house. I see guys catching crappie there quite often but they dont look to be very big. As for eating the fish, they are fine. That is a rumor Kinda like the man eating catfish under and Dam the size of volkswagons.
  20. i see that around Halloween usually.... How big was that thing? looks massive. Nothing really to reference it to... I always thought a sucker taste way better than a trout
  21. Topic under this one labeled "1/5 1/6 beaver creek" I gave an exact bank with pics of even the baits I was using
  22. Rangerman nailed it. I love posting and could careless if someone is in my "spot" not like im fishing to feed my family or for money.....And by the way if it werent for me no one would know what a Rapala Shad Rap is LOL
  23. Speaking of flickers. I'm stopping by cabelas in witchita today if there is any special colors anyone might need. I'll be on upper bull this weekend. Well I'm off for the next 12 days so I'll be around
  24. I have been dragging the #7 minnows a lot lately. Been catching just as many crappie on those as I have the flicker shad. I like them a lot
  25. Trolling motor Transducer alone will be over $150 shipped unless you can find one cheaper. I couldnt find one cheaper when i was looking. http://universalmania.com/humminbird-xtm-9-si-180-t-trolling-motor-transducer/ My dad has a Garmin 550c on the bow of his boat, i think it is a little over $200 on that some site. I really like it just as much or better than my Hummindird. I can see little crappie jigs on it no problem and it is simple to use
