  1. Last Feb in the tournament i caught 25 browns and my partner prob did the same. Not a darn one was big enough to keep, it as a blast but frustrating at the same time
  2. alright Good luck tomorrow, ill get ahold of ya when i get back from my work trip and we may have to go hit it somewhere, hopefully it will warm up a little, im tired of fishing in the 20-30 degree weather
  3. He just sent me that pic, looks like a good pile of meat. April is gonna be tough for me have a little boy due on the 12th, I just hope the spawn is a little early this year. I pretty much go somewhere about everyday im off. Trying to hit it hard before April comes
  4. im also kinda new to it, just now got a good trolling set up, before it was trolling 3 mph in a big glass boat, i did catch a few last summer doing that. I do feel like it is a little easier up on stockton for walleye and the length limit is only 15", but Bull is way handier than stockton for me. Thanks for the tip Rangerman, i will have to check those places out cant ever have to many colors.
  5. I usually buy BPS cuz its handy i usually price match them with Cabelas because its a dollar cheaper per flicker. I do drive by cabelas about 1 time a month for work, so i guess i will start picking some up when i cruise through...Anyone needs anything from there feel free to ask, id be happy to grab whatever
  6. jerkbaits on Lake springfield if it isnt frozen over by now
  7. haha i told him to set us up on a blind date, we need to get togather soon and and wrangle some meat...its been colder than hell but a little bit of fireball warms things up just right
  8. I'll have to say hi next time. I thought that might have been you, I've heard you mention the sport jet and you def don't see a lot of those around. Quick question for ya where do you buy your flicker shads. I have some Rico's and Tennessee shad and perch but I had to order through cabelas. Bass pro in springfield doesn't have those. I pulled around the #7 flicker minnow in Pink Lemonade and caught a lot of te crappie and a few walleye. Even caught a few crappie in a #9 minnow. That was a big meal for the crappie
  9. im going outa town for work so ill be happy to give my spot up to yall. it will be different by the time i get back. dump in at beaver creek, dont worry about starting the big motor...start at the first Marina bouy and troll up stream, all these fish were caught in a 500 yard stretch, most my colors were in the pics but honestly it was random. Best color was prob Racy Shad for Crappie
  10. Went down and froze a couple days. Started out trolling flicker Shads and Flicker Minnows in a variety of colors. 1st five minutes I lost a very Large walleye at the boat he bumped my net and set himself free. Ended up catching 4 walleye with only one being 18 inches a couple others were close. Also caught 5 nice crappie all in the 13-14 inch range. went the next day and we ended up with 13 giant crappie 12-15 inchers, the one im holding was 15 1/4. A couple nice whites and a 21 1/2inch walleye. Fish were scattered all over,we just trolled anywhere from 20-30 feet and we would end up hitting schools here and there, we had 3 crappie on at once at one point. Also the pic of the screen were a whole bunch of pesky little whites caught a lot around 6 inches
  11. i got this off a fellow member on here it works perfectly and is like new under warranty. Reason i got it was i had a trip planned the next day and i thought my old one went out, turned out my little breaker box went bad. It has only been used a handful of times. I went to wireless so just trying to clean house. Can send pics and hook up to a battery. $275. 417-894-2975 ~Andy
  12. came on my 2008 tracker i went to wireless so i dont need it any more $100.Can text pics and hook up to battery so you can see it purr. 417-894-2975 ~Andy
  13. I got a new wireless trolling motor and the built in transducer is not compatible with this Humminbird. I didnt really want to sell it but i guess i need to. It works perfect. It comes with the wiring and a trolling motor mount transducer. The cable got cut but i soldered it back and it works as new. only 1 of the five wires in the cable was actually cut. Can easily see crappie jigs under the boat with it. Also comes with a neoprene Humminbird cover. I really want $275 pretty firm on that. Fell free to call or text me my number is 417-894-2975
  14. Pretty common marking from a James river arm crappie. I catch a lot with that black streak down their head. I don't think I've ever seen I in any other lake. Maybe someone in here knows more on that
  15. Sorry for the sideways photo. It's the only way I could do it from my phone
  16. Started at Beaver creek an trolled darn near to Kdock and back. Drug flicker shads. Caught 5 crappie all keepers 3 were real big, 1 14inch striper my first one on Bull, a few small white bass an a yellow perch. All fish except for 2 were on Racy shad color. My buddy lost somthig big as I was reelin in my little striper. It didn't last long a couple big shakes and it was gone but it def put some bend in the rod. We marked tons of fish all day most Fish were over 30-40 fow and suspended from 15 down.

  18. Not much of a report but its better than nothing. I put in at Beaver creek( wanted to run the boat a little). Got to the bridge at Swan creek and started trolling. Just got a new Xi5 so this trip was basically a learning experience. And of course i forgot my walleye trolling box so i used what i usually use for whites. Put on a Purple tiger flicker shad #5. First 5 minutes i got a 16 inch walleye, after i cuddled him for a bit he was released and that pretty much sums up my day. I got up to the darn and threw some swim baits and a jerker for a bit. I was basically playing with the new trolly so i wasnt fishing very serious... Love the wireless troller for trolling. Not many people out but it was a good day. I guess a bad report is better than no report. Didnt mark many fish either but it gets shallow up there, im sure they are around... good luck
  19. In two hours i think anybody could get it done, a mechanic should be able to knock it out in 30 min. I have a little 18hp Nissan which is probably one of the best lil outboards i have been around. I would guess i have 1,000,000 hours on that little guy lol. Wrench is right Linkage can be a bear but if you take your time when you take it off an pay attention to how it is put together it isnt that bad
  20. I got out on the water today and overall i like it quite a bit, only probalem is my humminbird 597 di doesnt work properly, i know the down imaging wont work with the built in trans but the 2D doesnt work properly depth is all over the place and the auto chart doesnt work. I had this prpoblem before when i baught a trans just for 2D that they said would work. It did the same thing and then i got the one that has DI and 2D and it worked perfect but that one isnt gonna work on the wireless motor
  21. I would be in for sure. I always liked the idea of everyone bringing a lure or a pack of plastics to throw in the pot for the winner !!!
  22. That would be great, I havent really found any clear instructions on how to rig all that up on the web yet. or what exaclty is needed. I should have mine by Thursday, Snow or shine im gonna go tinker with it on Friday.
  23. That pretty much sums up most I what I have read. Nice to hear it from someone on here though. I also read that when you use the anchor feature it doesn't speed up as hard as the MK. It kinda gradually comes on which I was a little worried about in my light tin can. Where do you get the cable that links it all togather? I have an gen 2 hds7. I hope it will work with that
