  1. Definitly a channel. Flat heads don't have that blue color or the sharp barbs that impaled me once the fight underwater was on
  2. seems like it needed to be a big tree 2 or 3 feet in diameter, there are a few of them. Didnt see many bass on just the random small trees kinda needed a pile of them. And man its funny to watch how those Kentuckys react to a diver. One of them swam up to me face to face kinda put his nose down and started fluttering all his fins, Thought the little guy was gonna try to run me off
  3. I was diving last weekend out of Diamond City. I dove their a lot last year and didnt see hardly any Zebra muscles. Last weekend they were thick. Seems they have quadrupled since last year. Saw a lot of bass in the 15 to 35 range all on brush and big timber. conservation piles were loaded with huge bass. Dont waste time fishing anywhere there isnt brush. Shot 1 nice walleye in 18' on a conservation pile. That was the only one i saw all weekend. Also got one nice Channel and it was the only one i saw also.
  4. It's something about those cobalt owners. Saw one in diamond city with 21 people on it some were on a tube behind it and a lot of kids on the swim deck. Te guy was at the marina driving around even saw him up it in reverse a couple times. Even with all the kids on the back.
  5. just wondering if any members are gonna be in the Spearfishing Tournament that Jordan Marina puts on this Sat
  6. after they choke down a mouth full of trebles lets concentrate on not hurting their mouth
  7. I caught 4 the other day two keeps one was 24". Trolling a blue tiger 7cm flicker shad. I was in the diamond city area
  8. My motor may be a couple horse to many but its all i have. i always idle past canoes and kayaks with courtesy. and a 6 horse at full bore blows a bigger wake than mine does anyhow. I agree with John that two many people keep bass there i have seen it. I always catch and release there. It is probably pressured 10 times as hard as a lake like table rock if you consider fisherman per water volume. I have a big glass boat but i wouldnt take it there just cuz of the flack from everyone, so i got a little 14 ft jon for that lake. I have Met Mr. Andrews down there before and he is a nice guy, i think he just wants to preserve good fishing to a lake that is literally at some of our back doors. And i do agree. A 225hp and a 10hp are totally different categories of "breaking the law".
  9. The city has there whitewater rescue team down there wth there 40 horse jets once a week tearing Cats asses everywhere. Until them and bass pro get banned from doing it I will uses my big 9.9 that barely runs.
  10. The fire department runs there 40 hp jets down there for practice. Be sure to take a pic of them too
  11. I dive Table and Bull frequently and for every 100 keeper bass i may see 1 keeper walleye or Crappie. Maybe they get spooked easier. But i find that hard to believe when i can bump into a brush pile then catch fish on it while banging around in an aluminum boat. Probably even see more smallies and LM on Bull. I think there is plenty if someone wants a mess of fish. I would def keep bass if i didnt catch a bunch of crappie this spring and wouldnt feel bad about it one bit.
  12. Ges. I Was in those exact spots and only got 1 keeper crappie. Don't feel bad. It was just tough day
  13. i went last Sat afternoon, Put in at Beaver and trolled with flicker shads. Caught 1 nice sow right off the bat kept going picked up a short walleye and another sow. trolled from the first bend to about as far up as we could get the boat. Water temp around 62. Went up to swan water was 51 until swan and i think i saw 64 at one point. only caught one nice white on a rooster tail and then headed back to beaver and caught a couple small males. not near as many people as you normally see this time of year. I was kinda wondering if they know somthing i dont
  14. Looks like that was fun. Nice work
  15. Sounds like an intelligent person if they are driving somthing like that
  16. The gas station right there called Lake 1 Stop sells them by the pound now. Be careful though a quarter pound is about 10 dozen
  17. Hooked into one yesterday in flat creek. My 150 yards of 4lb line and a flickers shad are still attached to him. Took all of about 10 seconds to unspool me
  18. I don't want my fish to taste like it smells. Would you want your steak to taste like a slaughter house smells.
  19. No red meat in crappie.
  20. White vibric rooster tails work great...Beaver creek on Bull shoals has great access for bank fishing, havent heard much news about the whites there yet, but im sure they are around
  21. I saw you out there in your tracker jet boat Ducky. We cruised around all over the place. Finally picked a little brush pile within sight if the flat creek ramp that was good to me last year. Caught 10 crappie pretty quick 6 keeps a few were 12&13 inchers. All crappie were in about 8 feet of water and caught them with minnows and a slip bobber rig. Then we decided to run up the creek as far butt you can go caught 4 whites in white vibric rooster tails. Also picked up a few bucket mouths on a wart in peach orchard cove one keep. They were in 6 fow. Once we found the right spots we caught our fish pretty quick. Spent to much time driving around trying to figure things out. Warmest water I saw was 53.5 and that was right by the flat creek ramp. Lost a couple degrees when we ran way up the creek for the whites
  22. So true. God forbid you keep a fish and post about it. Haha
  23. Koppies is at cape fair marina. We are talking about the ramp at flat creek. It is def not a corp ramp. There are no attendans there, no day use fees.
  24. I really dont think it is a Corps ramp. There is no where to buy a day pass. And its not listed as one on there web site. I have always put in there. The dock does have a sign that says " Dock for guests use only". But the ramp everyone can use, it gets pretty busy at times.
  25. it wasnt bad before anybody could go to walmart and by a cheap fishing kayak, and now the boat house rents them out..it is crowded on nice days.
