  1. One of my favorite 2d sonars ive had, I cut the tranducer on the troller so it is just the unit with no transducer. $50
  2. Works as it should, NO transducer with it. GPS and down imaging. $70 bucks to your door.
  3. Huminbird 788 GPS CIHD it works great the transducer has been splice but works perfectly. This is a GPS model. $150 prefer to sell local.. Im in Ozark MO
  4. Are these motors known to pop... Everyone says these are reliable for a merc
  5. I looked at it how you were looking at it and i totally get why it looks like a gar...lol.... like i said it was a crappy pic through a sunglass lens......
  6. Back in my gigging days Ive seen Chain pickerel in the Finley which leads to Table Rock. Im pretty sure thats what it is
  7. Full well, fairly full tank me and a buddy it is a little sluggish but has never let me down. I got it full of tackle and way to many rods and other BS. My dad pretty much only had a crappie rod and one 3700 plano lol. Ill probably leave it alone. I spent way to much money on my last boat chasing 2-3 mph. not really worth it
  8. Heres another pic, different glare but still bad. The first pic is better you can see a little white patch on its lower jaw
  9. Ive been on the lake enough I definitely know a what a gar looks like and this is far from it. Used to shoot them all the time with a bow. I may be dumb but not that dumb
  10. Dang, i need to do some work, Kinda wanted to get a jackplate before i mess with props. When it was my dads boat he didnt have hardly anything in it and the best i ever saw alone was 5700-5800
  11. Definitely not a gar, I wish i could have got a better pic. The thing was only a couple feet from the boardwalk
  12. Fired it up on the muffs today for the first time in almost 2 months and it might have been the easiest start up ever, and it even idled without using any throttle. I have a 23 Tempest on it now and can only run to about 5400 RPM. I put on a spare 21 Trophy i have laying around and it didnt seem to change anything. Maybe i need to try a little smaller 3 blade. What is a safe high RPM i should shoot for?
  13. Took the little boy to the nature center and we were on the boardwalk and saw this little guy, i assume it is a Chain Pickerel???? Looked like a baby Musky. I spent a lot of time on that lake over the years and have never seen one. The pic isnt the best i had to put my phone lens up to my polarized glasses or you couldnt see anything at all. It was about 10"-12"
  14. The old Xr6 is kinda hard starting until you learn the process... And im paranoid about a steel reed breaking. I want this thing to last me. My boat is fairly heavy for a 150 so it needs all the help it can get
  15. Not sure, i was a cocktail to many deep when i did this and took the pic, Next day i took them back apart and did it right lol.
  16. Wrench, do you have any experience with the crank case stuffers? When i ordered Reeds from Chris Carson he suggested trying the stuffers out...so of course i did. I lapped the Reed blocks with soapy 220, 400, 600 grit. They are nice and flat
  17. Decided to put new reeds in the ole girl this winter while it was cold. A fairly easy job turns into a week ordeal. Reeds went in easy, Ordered new gaskets for the Carbs, they arrived broken in half 4 days later. So had to get more gaskets. Got all those installed and tried went to click the throttle linkage back into the little bushing and snappppppppp. Cant believe sport boats in Nixa had one in stock. ITs amazing how much Merc can charge for a tiny little plastic bushing, But at the same time price didnt matter because im going fishing Monday....its been a month
  18. I remember years ago when the Fann boys had two 9lbers on back to back days
  19. Tackle warehouse the Keitechs are 5.99 up to the 3.8 Bass pro the speed shads are 5.99 too I thought they were cheaper too until i just looked
  20. I think you put either one in front of a fish he cant tell the difference. Speed Shad is a little tougher plastic, but thats about all i see different
  21. I was just thinking the other day, Wonder where wrench has been
  22. Wheeler put this out, seemed like perfect timing for this thread
  23. That pic is one of Jacob Wheelers boat i saw on instagram. That kid has made a ton of money and most of it because how good he is with his graphs. I also think if you know how to use the Humminbird 360 it is probably awesome, i just think it is difficult for normal people like me to fully grasp. A lot of very successful pros love their 360's. It is pretty great we live in the day and age we have all these gadgets to choose from. Really hard to go wrong with any of them, just depends on style of fishing, and personal preference
  24. https://www.cornfieldcrappiegear.com/product-page/electric-live-operation-elo this is a pretty neat system for mounting it separate, Pricey though. The LVS32 i the one you want the LVS12 has a very narrow beam, and is painfully hard to use. All the stuff you see about livescope online with all the great videos is the LVS32
