It all started 48 days ago when i took my Xi5 in under warranty, The wires in the head of it melted together. I had ran this motor for 18 months without an issue until this. Took it to marine repaor in springfield. They are great guys and did everyting they could but motorguide didnt have the part i needed which was the control board. Took it in on May 31st, they called me the next day and said i needed a control board and they were on back order from motorguide until june 28th. I was pretty bummed but i waited until july 6 or 7th and caled and they said they still had no word from motorguide..... I called motorguide and asked about the part and they had no answers. I said well i need a new motor shipped to me or pull the part off a new one, i waited for over a month. I kinda feel like for the price of that troller i was paying for some good warranty service too. The guy on the phone was very nice and said he would email the vender that builds that part and see when they will be ready. thought to myself "great" he is sending a freaking email for me... Well got a call the next morning bright and early saying they were shipping the part out that day. Not sure how or where they found one but i guess the moral of the story is to call and give them some flack. I know they didnt want to send me a new 1500$ motor..... My rant is over, hopefully it will be ready for me Monday

I had a 60hp 4 stroke for a while and i trolled with it no problem. I would recommend getting a nice GPS trolling motor (Terrova, Xi5) and use it for pulling cranks. Since i got my Xi5 i never use the big motor when trolling. I can go a solid 7 hours on a charge and go as slow as i want. I think i catch a lot more too. 4 strokes are not loud but still a lot louder than a trolling motor

Who is talking crap Jason, Fishing isnt really a crap talking sport. Ketchup whooped my butt last weekend in a tournament and i could care less. He whacked them and i didnt. Leave the crap talking to stupid sports that involve balls. Ive never been in a tourny where there was any tough talk or hostility. We share baits and have fun, The joy in fishing in small club tourneys is to learn something here and there from each other

Not a lot to report, we caught lots of fish on a variety of baits, neds, jigs, drop shots, topwater. A few keepers nothing huge or pic worthy. lots of 12" smallmouth, They are full of fight, dont want to give up. Also caught my first Trout in Table Rock 17". He ate a ned. Where would that trout have came from, i caught him withing a 1/4 mile of the Baxter ramp. Someone told me that when Dogwood Canyon floods some trout get to Table Rock, Where does that come out?.................and as always sorry for the sideways pic. Has anybody figured out how to make them turn up right?

Water temp 63-65 Started off throwing some cranks and had a couple short fish. Ended up catching about 25 with 7 solid keepers. Most of the fish were caught on top water. All the Keepers were on Top water. Lots of fun watching them explode. Probably had close to 15 lbs. We decided last minute to not enter the Wed tourney. crappie fished for about 30 min on a brush pile and caught 6 nice ones and one 14.25 inch. I left the crappie biting which was hard. My buddy i was with isnt much of a crappie fisher. sorry for the sideways pics. Better than no pics at all

a trip to kdock and back would about have that thing broke in. No better lake around to take a big joy ride like that. And i agree with walleyedmike. put some pics up of that new rig. I love Skeeters, i was looking at them the other day when i was buying part at Sport Boats USA. Those things are pretty much perfect

So weird everyone has a different tactic, all the ones i have been catching are way up flat in no more than 6 ft. I usually park off some brush piles and put on a weighted float with a little 1/32 jig and twitch it over the brush. There is a lot of brush i fish that is not visible. I usually run over it and throw out a little bouy marker and leave it alone for about 30 min, then go back.

Went by and saw John today since it is so close to my house. Man that guy seems to know his stuff. Seems like a straight shooter. Told him my set up and he has a few options for me that im gonna try. wish i would have known about his shop a few months ago

II got this prop from Dyna prop and ran it 3 times. looks brand new. has a hub in it. Should fit any 75, 90, or 115 opti. im sure it fit others too....It is just to small for my motor.
