I agree. They have the sticker ruler for like 2-3$ at academy that makes it easy to stick on side of boat or anywhere flat. Easy to lay the fish down on and snap a quick pic and release
I have had it go both ways at the one in Springfield I've had stuff listed higher and rang up dollar or two lower on line and stuff and I've also had cranks listed for couple dollars lower ring up dollar or two higher than listed
You are welcome! Hope any tips help you out! Most of the fish I caught that were bigger in size came off of trees that were down in the water. All the big rocks and stumps were just holding little bass on them yesterday.
It was around Delaware town. The senko were watermelon candy and I think one came off of black blue fleck. Then for flukes we only threw white colored. Flukes. It was pretty good fishing all day. Today was a different story! Lol
If you get out in middle week when there's not a lot weekend pressure I do alright by the outlet from the plant. Both of these bass are from throwing jigs back in the cement wall area
Are walleye pretty common in the James? I caught my first ever walleye tonight on the James up between Delaware town and rivercut. It was a decent sized fish I believe. I sure am glad I didn't stick my fingers in his mouth!
I do alright around the warm water outlet in the middle of the week after some of the weekend pressure is gone. Definately do a lot better out the yak than when stuck to the banks.
I usually push it when it comes to getting on the water. Lol when I get the itch to fish I go. And right now I'm not sure i would try it with how high it was last night still. A lot of debris and stuff still floating down.
There's a lot of fun little spots around here to fish. The James river is usually good for smallies, and Springfield lake is pretty close. Gets a lot of pressure. Fellows lake never had much luck there but others do! The Finley is close by. And of course table rock lake, Stockton, taneycomo , bull shoals.
Haha sorry. Yea I walked in looking at the 10ft red and yellow and then the guy showed me the camo 12 ft and I ended up leaving with it. . I just wish I could take it out some more!
ScottK you will love I've had mine in the camo color for about a month now and have had it on a couple decent 5-8 hour day fishing trips and so far it rocks. I haven't had my canoe out since! I added a milk crate and mounted rod holder to the milk crate works well for holding extra rod and tackle. Boat seems to do pretty well definately happy so far. Hope you like your as much as we do ours!
I throw a kvd 1.5 on the James river mostly and it's one that I always have tied on. Even when it's shallow. I will say I definately do not throw it if I'm stuck to the bank bc I get hung up a lot. But if I'm in a kayak it's always tied on. This color or an orange crawdad color are my biggest producers.
