  1. Hunter. Go check out a thread titled "Big Time White Bite" started by Bill Babler on May 26th 2013. There is some really good info there for ya. Should answer your question. Good luck.
  2. I watched it this morning. Some really good info on there. Mark Davis was really killin em on that twin tail. Definitely need to try that out this year!
  3. Fished our 3rd morning of 6 so far this week. 3 more to go! We've caught a total of 36 fish with 13 keeps so far! Not bad for 3 guys who get to fish The Rock one week of the year in the summer! Will give more info and pic's soon as we are busy with the family! Good Luck and good fishin!
  4. Nice fish Bill! Glad to see you had a chance to to catch a couple yourself!
  5. Bill, thanks for the awesome report! It will help us a ton. We will probably try a little of all of those patterns. We are actually staying at Lazy Lee's so the info is right up our alley. Can't wait too get there Saturday! If you see us out shoot over and say hello! I will be sure to let you guys know how it's goin and post some pics! Thanks again and good fishin! Dan
  6. I received mine too! Thanks Phil! I will be down at TRL for my week of fun starting Sat. the 22nd! Can't wait to try out the Ned and the Jika rig!
  7. Sent you a pm. Thanks.
  8. Nice report. Congrats to your little guy on his nice smallie and the meanie! I'm sure it was an exiting moment for him! Look forward to hear how the rig does for ya tomorrow. Good luck and enjoy the family time! Be there the last week of June....hope the rig and top water bite is still happening! Dan
  9. Wow! Sounds like the top water fin bite is just on right now! I'm jealous. Do you guys have a preference on the fin? C10, C09, or CJ9? What seems to work better for ya or does it matter? Your input is always appreciated. Thanks in advance and good fishin! Counting the days until I'm there! 19 and counting....... Dan
  10. Great post. That's what it's all about. Can't wait for my week of bliss at the end of June. Beautiful lake indeed!
  11. Sam. I just bought a Lews speed spin combo. Can't wait to try it out!
  12. Thanks for your input Jason! I will have to pick up a couple those. Heard about the smokey joe and also about the chrome with black back. Not sure about the other color but I will look. Planned on the hook upgrade as well and thanks for the snap advice. I will make sure to grab some.
  13. dtrs5kprs. I guess you prefer the jointed fin over the non jointed? Why? What about the size? Do like the 5" or 7"? The 7" seems awfully big.
  14. I have a number of medium action spinning combos ranging anywhere from 6-7' in length and baitcasters combos in the same lengths in med - med heavy. Usually use the 7' spinning rig for drop shot.
  15. If I can get away with the lighter line I'm all for it. I use 8# and 10# Invizx now........looks like I need to get some 6# as well especially if will increase the number of bites. Sounds like a no brainier to me. Thanks for the advice.
  16. Nice! Thanks for the pics! Hopefully I will have some of my own to post in a month! Thanks again my friend!
  17. Plan on using a 6-6 medium action spinning rig with 8 - 10 lb fluoro. Half of the fun for me is enjoying that fight to the boat with the lighter equipment. What a blast. Guess I just needed a little reassurance. Thanks a bunch! Can't wait to get down there and give it a try!
  18. dtrs5kprs. Bought some of those mushroom head jigs 1/16 oz in purple and dark gr with # 2 gama hooks from Gopher Tackle. Also picked up some ZinkerZ in pb&j, EZ Money, and Watermelon/Candy. In your opinion is the #2 large enough? Seems kind of small next to the ZinkerZ. Thanks for all the info! Really excited to give it a shot in a month!
  19. Well. I must say that the start of our week of fishin the Rock has began a lot different than we expected. Needless to say it has been quite tough and at times down right frustrating. Every time we think we are on to some sort of a pattern it stops as quick as it started. Have been to our hot spots from the last couple of years and they have not produced the quality of fish that we have hoped. Mainly have been fishin from Joe Bald to just south of mile marker seven. We have caught quite a few small K's and only a couple keeps. Only one of those was a Lg Mouth. Have caught a few nice Whites also on spoons but have not been able to find schooling fish busting the surface (K's or Whites) We have been out every morning by 4:30am and done by 10. We have caught most of our fish on deep docks over 50 - 60 ft of water on spoons grubs and drop shots. Thinkin about tryin some crawlers to see if that makes a dif or not. Curious to know how everyone else has fared this week? Dan Must say tough even a tough week of fishin beats a week of work! To Bill. Its looks like you had a couple of nice trips earlier. Awesome reports! Congrats! Im sure its an great feeling to watch your guests catch doubles and triples!
  20. Thanks for the tip Bill. Look forward to trying that. Sounds like a lot of fun as long as you can get on them in time. Any ideas on the crappie fishin? I've read mixed reports.
  21. Thanks for the info abkeenan. We came down about this time last year and the bite was very similar. We used 3" grubs, tubes, crankbaits, football jigs, spoons and inline spinners and also spook jrs. didnt really have to do much drop shottin cause we did so well on everything else but I am prepared to drop shot as well. I have some 4" cut tail worms (plum) for d-shottin and some 3 & 4 inch swimbaits depending on the size of the hatch. Would also like to find some crappie and some schooling whites would be a blast! The water level last year was up about fifteen feet last year, hope my same spots are as productive this year.
  22. Hello Everyone. Headed to Table Rock this weekend for a week of fishing and relaxation. From everything I have read it looks like the bass are in their typical summertime patterns. I am staying in the Kimberling City area any advice on baits and locations that work well in this area? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dan
